Little side note

To all ozbargainers, please be as kind as you can to all Big W staff. Can you imagine them searching for each game in the draw then when they go put it in the cases, they go back to their register and see another 5+ people waiting in line just to do it all again with the next customer? You got some others who aren't interested in the deal (like people who have to get their digital photos printed) and some of them may get impatient. This causes big stress for both the staff member and the customer. Please praise them for their efforts as thats the least we can all contribute.

    I had one deal today at Big W Brisbane Marcarthur. A 7-10 year old kid had Mario and Sonic wiiu winter olympics game box in his hand, trying to convince his mother that it was a ripper deal and indeed it was, lucky she didn't cave in. That boy cried and left it at the Children's dvd section in front of a Bambi DVD. Picked it up and said today is my lucky day and it sure was cause nekminut I get a free dare ice coffee on the way back to the office

      I found a copy of that one too. It got a fairly bad review on IGN but for $3 why not? At worst it's a couple of hours of fun, and another club Nintendo code to register in the hope I'll be able to afford some of the goodies they'll make available in the last few months of the program.

      Yeah about 11am today I got a couple more games. One for the PC - fallout las vegas. one for xbox 360 - la noire.

      Winston Hills still has a bunch of PS3 and WII skylanders swapforce starter packs. The stickers still say $30 but they scan for $3.

          They are BE brand outdoor bluetooth speaker. Bendigo still has 3 or 4 left. Has a flash light, fm radio and built in battery. Have not opened one to test it's ability yet.

    Was at Kingsway WA this morning and it was basically picked clean! Got one of the Disney infinity triple packs for $3.
    Girl at the desk said a bunch of guys came in yesterday and started buying everything up even before they had the sale stuff priced, she didn't even realise that some items were on sale until these guys started telling her, one guy even had a huge print out! LOL

          I managed to get several of the Disney infinity display cases from Whitfords, gonna see if they suit Amiibos. Joondalup was pretty empty though they had a few of the Animal crossing games for Wii. Skylanders swap force was only other thing I saw left.

      I saw a guy in the morning after opening with a printout list. An older guy raided the entire bargain bit and other were waiting to snap up all the 2DSs'. I didn't bother sticking around to find anything. Managed to score a copy of Rayman Legends at Midland though, not much left there either, maybe an NBA2K14 for PS3 and a Skylanders pack for Wii U. Stacks of smart covers for iPad mini left.

    Just a heads up… I was in Noosa this morning to see a client near the BigW plaza so called in around 9am. Not surprisingly anything worth having had already gone.

    After my meeting I dropped back into the plaza food court for lunch and decided to take one last look at Big W to discover they had actually 're-stocked' the clearance shelves!!! Nothing incredible but did pick up a couple more Xbox 360 games, a 3DS case and a few more skylanders for my kids - all of which was certainly not there about 3 hours earlier!

    I wouldn't suggest you travel far but if you are in the close vicinity of a Big W it might be worth rechecking in as it would seem, at least with Noosa, they are still finding clearance stock in the back and still putting stuff out! I doubt there are any consoles or current gen games hidden away still but if you want PS3/Xbox360 games you might still be in luck.

      Same happened to me. I went in and had a look. Nothing. Then when my photos were ready the shelves were full again! Nothing super special but got little big planet 2 and playstaion all stars battle royale and a couple others.

    Just went to have a look at Big w in Forest hill vic,

    Nothing much left, only thing worth-while was Incomplete copies of certain games, ie no cases. Last of us ps3 was $3, Mirriors Edge, BF Bad Company, Bioshock all were $2.

    On another note, I decided to pop by EBGames, and i saw a group of three trading in 10x copies of Call of Duty Black ops 2 on the ps3, ( All Sealed).

    Charlestown Square (NSW) has the $3 Disney Infinity sets left. They are the old ones with the Monsters Inc monster, not the Avengers version. The label price is still $88 but they scan as $3. 3 DS sets and 2 Wii sets left (5:40pm-ish). Sorry, did not look at PS versions…
    Employee showed me what was left of the $3 pile- only a few games left. No Wii ones

    Just went to 3 different Big W branches in VIC. Box Hill, Forest Hill & Ringwood. Only had luck in Forest Hill as they were still taking out some stock from the back. Managed to snatch up some games without cases for $3 each (X360 & PS3). A few games left at Forest Hill when I left the store (Forza 5 for XB1, Fallout : NV for PS3, Marvel vs Capcom for X360 etc) and Gears of War 3 for X360 at Ringwood.

      I got a spare copy of Dead Rising 3 if you want to trade for Forza. This is actually a cool idea if people did happen to get multiples. I purchased 2 of everything for me and my brother.       In all the three stores I went to they had the sale items in the gaming/entertainment section of the store. They will usually have a sticker on them, but if not, that doesn't mean they aren't on sale - check the spreadsheet on the OP.

    Having been into a few EB Game store's 'The Biggest Sale Ever (until next week)' event it seems they are considerably overstocked (including undoubtedly some BigW transfers)…. Maybe they should take note and clear some of it for $3 each too before the 30 June stocktake! (Fat chance I know of EB Games doing this but really got the bargain hunting bug from the BigW clearance).

    Fellow OzB members,

    Congrats to OzB members who managed to get what they wanted and were lucky enough to meet fellow OzB members during sale.

    Scalpers/Leechers who spoiled for it others, you know where you stand in the OzB community.

    Just a suggestion (please don't lynch me on this, as it's just a suggestion): to cut back on scalpers (and those who just leech on this site), maybe we could "lock" the ozbargain site, meaning you have to log on to see what bargains are available.

    New/current members would have to "referred/vouched" by other members.

    You know what I mean, nothing against "long time reader, first time post" people but there is a sense of community and helping each other out to find bargains.

    Just my 2c.

    Wanted a 2DS console but managed to score Sniper 3 for Xbox 360 and New Super Luigi U for Wii U. :D

          Madturbo123 - it was a limited edition release. It's available on the Wii u shop now but the physical copies are pricey due to their apparent rarity. I didn't have a Wii U at the time it was out everywhere but did consider buying it.. Wish I had now!

          Was gonna say good going :) but still a good score. I concentrated on the consoles a bit too much and didn't get much software. I got an xbone,vita, PS3, and a 2ds though. I manage to swap skyward sword for thief ps4 with a fellow ozb

    I was just in Big W Southland this morning and there were a few bits and pieces left over. Nothing amazing though, the best deal was probably a 3 pack of Disney Infinity heroines from Wreck it Ralph, the Incredibles and Tangled. All 3 figures for $3.

    Thanks to the original OP for posting this - I certainly hope that he/she did not receive any form of backlash from their employer.

    Would've been great for score a cheap Xbox One but otherwise grateful for the games I did manage to get.

    Was at Epping Plaza last night and only thing I saw remaining was some bad PC games, DS games without covers and a few copies of Trauma Center: New Blood for the Wii. They are in a bargain basket on top of the entertainment counter.

    I think the idea of swapping/trading is awesome - can we start a separate thread somewhere in the forums?

    So the morning this deal was posted I got up nice and early and went to 4 different big w stores,
    Tweed heads
    Burleigh Heads
    Robina
    Runaway bay

    Then today I though I would chance it and go the opposite way to the other 2 big w stores near me (kinda)
    I didn't manage to get any ps4 games but I did manage to get a Pokemon y 2ds bundle on the first day then got a Pokemon x bundle today, I have driven so much it isn't funny but it has been so fun finding bargains, I limited myself to 1 copy of each game except for a few 3ds and I think 1 ps3 (for my brother) and ipad cases which I got for other family members but anyways here are my photos of everything i got.

    Out of my many years on ozbargain this is one of the greatest.

    Well I completely missed the boat on this sale! Been sick the last few days and haven't been checking the bargains.. checked Big W in Orion Springfield today and totally cleaned out. All I got was an Xbox 360 copy of Fantasia Music Evolved.
