Optus - 3 Months Netflix if You Add a $5 Data Sharing Sim (Postpaid Mobile Customer)

60

If you are a postpaid customer you can add sims to share internet with your tablets. I recently added a data share sim for $5 and received a free voucher (I had to go in chat but was sent to me 10hours after getting in touch). When you go through checkout it will show free 3 months of Netflix. Just take a screenshot for your record.
So basically you save approx $19 and also get an extra sim to share your data. We are allowed up to 5 sims for data share, however I don't' know If vouchers are stackable. Potentially we could get 15 months for $25, but I don't know if we can buy 5 all at once or/if stackable.

Just looked at this thread and it seems that vouchers are stackable too: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/187534?page=1

Got another postpaid plan with optus that advertised free 3 mo netflix but nothing came. Guess I'll have to hassle them

    • Poor form from Optus getting these codes out. Waiting for 3 codes for services activated more than 3 weeks ago. I have read on the Optus forums some have had to wait almost 2 months.

      • Not knocking your spirit, but Optus probably think its pretty poor form by you / me / Ozb Community) stacking codes on $14.50 pre-paid handsets and $5 data share sims just to get free netflix)

There was nothing in the T&Cs to prohibit it and all my devices cost me more than $14.50

      • I got tons of codes from the ZTE phones within 2 days, give optus a ring.

  • I didn't find netflix option with buy new sim. And is it possible to share data with existing sim?(i got one for $15 with 3 month Netflix and 3gb data from office works. Didn't recharge it after that.)

  • I bought one on Friday and it said 3 months in some places and 6 months in other places. Not too fussed about either but I didn't screenshot it.

  • I just did this, I'm on a $60 BYO sim plan and there was no mention of Netflix at all. Oh well.

I have already tried to get netflix vouchers on my current plan, apparently it has to be a contracted plan, seems there is a couple of other loopholes though but none I can use at the moment

  • I just placed an order, it shown 6 months netflix on confirmation order, :D
