  • Some people at ProductReview say that the internal component are not very good, so make sure you give it a really good run while still under warranty

    • Yea,
Although when i read through the reviews for all the automatics this seemed very common.
I dare say that the rule is true, most stay quiet unless they have an issue.

At the price it is hard to beat, the machine seems like it has a low of settings you can tweak to get the cup that suits you.

I was looking at the Seaco's, and they all reviewed the same. I have owned Seaco's in the past and never had issue.
Maintenance is key with these devices tho.

Would love to hear from someone who has one tho…

      • I have one, and bought one for my parents a while back.
You are supposed to clean the coffee making mechanism called the brewing mechanism once a month I think (black piece with the spouts on it), this can get very stuck if you follow this method.
I actually pull it out daily and run it under the water tap taking the coffee grinds/granules out. One unit was replaced by Sunbeam once. The new unit behaved the same after a couple of months. I decided to clean daily and has worked flawlessly since. I only use it with beans, and make 'standard coffee'. I warm up the milk in the microwave, and this works for us. I've used the cappuccino function once or twice… It's ok.

        • Thanks for the feedback :)
I had a flick through the manual, looks like they recommend cleaning it out weekly now.

But most of these machines need a fair bit of regular cleaning, they have very fine tolerances.
If the brew group is that easy to get out, I will follow your advice and give it a clean out every morning.

I will most probably have long blacks or flat whites, so will only use the milk unit on weekends I think.

I just wish there was a way to get an extended warranty placed on the machine.

good luck dealing with OO warranty should something happens beyond 14 days. Enforcing ACL for warranty refunds is a handful exercise. You will also lose on postage (deducted) from your buying price (when its free postage), plus postage to send back the item (at your cost as its Return to Base). Thats just my experience a while ago and never touched them again.

I also had probldms with OO's handling of warranty claims, absolute pain and the problem wasnt resolved. Havent bought anything from them since.

  • Nice looking machine too.

  • I hate being that person but i had to return mine after 3 to 4 months of use however i grabbed mine at a brick and mortar store. Made good coffee but the steam from the machine somehow got inside the screen and the moisture then ruined it. Hope you have more luck then i did.
