Steer Bar and Grill $50 off Voucher [South Yarra, VIC]

560

Mod: This deal is expired and the voucher no longer applies.

Just got an email from them. It looks like a generic voucher. Just print it off and bring it in.

This place has exquisite steak. It's located near South Yarra Railway Station in Melbourne.

Valid from 12/08/15 through 12/09/15. Must be dining with at least one other guest & limit of one voucher per table.

Hopefully I haven't missed anything!

  • Not a bad deal. We usually go there once a year using the Entertainment Book which offers 25% off the bill (up to $60 off).

Yeah I usually do the same thing. I signed up because I loved it.
You should also sign up because they give you a voucher for $50 on your birthday every year!!

      • +1

Oh, had no idea. Will do that now.

      • +1

Mind adding that to the birthday deals wiki page if it's not already there?

        • no worries.. I actually didnt know there was one lol

        • @Lukian: Sorry no idea how to do it :S
Had a look but can't find a submit

      • I just signed up but it didn't ask for a birthday. Any idea how they know its your birthday?

        • I did mine in store and there was a spot for DOB.
          Not sure. Sorry

      They're serve herbivores… to customers

That a load of Bull !

    • +3

I see what you did there..

I guess you've raised the Steaks in this comp

Is this a good place to meat people ?

        • +4

Nah, there's just a bunch of fat cows.

        • Do you often assault people with meat?

  • Thanks OP!!!!! :)

  • We go here for Friday lunches and its always excellent value for money. But i dont believe we can club this with the friday lunch offer.
This place would easily be in the top 5 places for a steak in Melbourne

      • Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer or special
      • Correct. Has to be from the menu.

  • Great place thanks!

What're the going prices for steaks?

    • +1

      From $65 up to $249

I don't work there so don't think this is some promo bs.
But when I say these steaks are good.. They are awesome!!

      No Bull

I see two steaks for $49 each

        • +1

Had it and almost was a little disappointed after first getting the $65 steak. Up to you :)

        • @Da dpG: So $65 is the 'minimum' recommended steak? :)

        • @Lukian: In my opinion. You may love the $49. I brought another fellow OzB and he loved the $65 one too

        • $29.50 is pretty good, for one!

  • +1

Based on the Autumn menu, a "main" only will cost you $29-36 each, so $8-22+ for a meal for two after discount.

    • Go for the steak, not the non-steak mains. Love the wagyu!

      • Sides are just as good.. But nothing beats those damn mouth watering steaks!!

If anything, just think some wine and sides are complimentary!

        • Has anyone ever figured out which steak to order (re: best bang for buck)? They always bring that huge tray of raw meat over and I never have any idea what I'm looking at (other than the hole in my wallet).

        • @neil:
          Scotch Fillet …………. 300g / 5 / 65
          Scotch Eye …………… 280g / 5 / 65
          Eye Fillet ……………… 250g / 5 / 65

I would say Eye Fillet and Scotch Eye are really good, check out the menu

        • @neil: Either or.. just giving you some viable options

  • Heard a rumour they are closing soon to be reopened as an American food restaurant.

Edit: and if i read the voucher first this is because they are moving :)

  • Looks awesome and yum!

Can I use it with the Early Diner special ($39.50/$44.50 set menus)? Sounds too good to be true!

    • +1

Nope, unfortunately its no in conjunction with any other offer

  • Any minimum purchase?

    • No, but you must dine with another person and their menu prices aren't cheap.

  • Why not just go there and eat oysters? According to their menu, $50 should be able to cover 13 oysters.

    • You really could.. but need two people and tbh the steak is worth it

  • Does the coupon stack with Entertainment Book?

    • +1

      Nope

  • Could I visit there once everyday during the promotion period, and buy items totalling $51 and then ultimately just pay $1?

    • +1

As long as they don't remember you I guess.. But also states you have to be dining with someone else

  • Voucher is now Active!! :D
