909 2400W Blower Vac Mulcher - $39 at Masters / Ozito 2400W Blower Vac Mulcher $44 @ Bunnings

120

Sweeping blows. You're better off copying me, and investing in one of these cheap and cheerful models from either Masters or Bunnings. The Masters one has a three year warranty.
Both appear to have reasonable reviews.
Both are electric, and should be fine for light duties around the house.
If you require more hardcore blows, I'd suggest investing in a two or four stroke petrol model - something with a bit more oomph - and avoiding the cheapies (think Stihl, Honda, but look towards the $400+ price range). Bear in mind that something from Stihl or Honda should last 20-30 years. My grandfather's 1970s era Stihl chainsaw is still running well.

You can also use your C50BACK ebay codes from older eBay sales on the Masters model. I added some gardening gloves and duct tape to hit the $50 threshold. Paid $1 for all of them! click and collect available!

First post. Hope it helps someone!

    From the masters website:

Efficient 2400W motor makes light work of tidying up the garden
Single control lever to quickly change function
10:1 mulching ratio reduces large piles of garden waste into easily manageable mulch
A 2400W motor makes light work of tidying your oasis. As does a 10:1 mulching ratio for reducing piles of garden waste into easily manageable mulch. A single control lever converts from a blower to a vacuum in seconds and the variable blower speed moves air at up to 216km/h to move more difficult material such as damp leaves. In vacuum mode the 909 BL2400 quickly gathers garden matter and mulches it. The BL2400 includes a chute wheel for balance and ease of use on hard surfaces, and the 45L collection bag provides ample material collection.

    From the Bunnings website:

The Ozito 3 in 1 Vacuum Blower-Mulcher BLV-2401 has been
designed for blowing leaves, grass clippings and other debris
from courtyards, driveways, decks and footpaths. It is intended
    for DIY use only.

2400 watt motor – makes light work of tidying up the garden
Variable speed 160-270km/h - ensures greater control when blowing different materials
10:1 mulching ratio - reduce large piles of garden waste into easily manageable mulch
Single action lever - quickly adjusts from blow to vacuum mode
Large 40L collection bag - catches all the debris for easy composting

Laziness, plus it's easier to compare these two similar products side by side out of the same post!

I've got the same looking leaf blower from masters except it is a 606.

  • Code does not work for me, message comes up "This redemption code is linked to another eBay account" bought for $39.00. Thanks OP!

    • Should've bought direct off masters site and saved 10%

      • And cash rewards of 2.5%

    909 2400w Blower Vac Mulcher

I paid the extra and moved up two models to the 911. Great for emergencies.

  • would these work for poop collection or the mulching wouldn't be nice?

    Since JV is not here

    What is the normal price?

      Unoriginal and boring now. Sad.

  • I'm pretty sure the bunnings one has been at that price for a long time. I got one about a month ago. Haven't taken out of the box yet. Just bought a 25m extension lead from Kmart for $16 to pair it with

  • Use a broom you leaf blowing assholes

MAKE THIS MAN THE GODDAMN PRESIDENT.

      DISEMBOWEL ALL MORONS WITH LEAFBLOWERS.
      ARGH

      • You just volunteered to get down on your hands and knees with a dustpan and brush and sweep out all the sawdust that collects down the back of my workbench then.

go blow it out your ass

  • I had the Masters one a while ago and I didn't like using it. For one thing the bag material is very thin. I paid the same at the time and after one use sold it for $20.

  • Was anyone else blown away by this deal?

    • +1

just leave the bad puns alone.

  • Bunnnings vs masters weekend deal??

    Shpund be more of it…..

  • I had the bunnings/ozito one 12 months ago. Used it once, the bag was very thin. It shredded and was full of holes due to sucking up dry leaves in vac mode. Fortunately, they refunded it when I argued it wasn't of merchantable quality. Not sure if I got a dud batch or if they're all like that. Very happy with one I subsequently bought from Aldi.

  • Not actually a deal, despite being cheap. They've been this price for years (although it's a GREAT price for what you get).

On another note, I've tried this product and wasn't blown away by it - it's not super powerful, especially on vacuum settings. In my opinion (and in the opinion of the staff who I originally ignored at Bunnings at my own cost), this http://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-1800w-electric-blower_p3380… is a much better blower. You're better off just blowing and collecting manually, unless you specifically need the vacuum function, which is pretty weak.

    • oops. no pun intended.

  • great cheap way to stoke up an open fire.
