I would update the website to include a link to the Sales page from every page (ie not just the home page). I would also increase (or make more stand out) the price. I would also remove the Knowledge base link and Announcement page until they're filled out with content a little more. Having an actual phone contact number would help too.

Edit: Seems you have two website templates? May want to clear that up

Thanks and all agreed there. We're in the midst of combining/integrating the old www site with the new shop site, but the products & services on the Shop site are valid and working if you can look past the temporary bad UI & multiple templates/sites while this all gets done.

      Regards,
      Richard.

Would it be worth it if the plans showed the cpu being used on the server to give some idea of performance, maybe some standard benchmarks? (dd type benchmarks)

Perhaps advertise that servers use ECC memory? RAID array types?

Price is appealing …. Is there an option to trial it for a month then add 12 months worth at the prices that are listed with the discount applied? (basically lock in price for 1 month trial with option to take out 12 months) or take out 12 month plan and if it doesn't work out have the remainder (11 months worth refunded?).

    • Hi digitalaxon,

CPU is slow by modern standards on the first few nodes, sorry. That'll change with upgrades soon, but you do get 2 x CPUs by default & more on the larger plans.

      ECC Memory: Yes
      RAID Array Type: 10
Backups are taken automatically monthly only and more options will be added for backup use soon.

re: Pricing - this offer already gives you around a month free over a year and it's only a monthly contract.
Sorry, no "free first month" is available though, but please do contact us if you'd like to discuss your request further.

      Regards,
      Richard.

Does the 12% also apply to add-ons or only base cost?

    • Hi luker9001,

Yes, the 12% also applies to Add-ons ordered after the original VPS on our www site

      Regards,
      Richard.

Thanks Richard for the offers again. Here's one VPS I got from them back in 2013 running mostly static image serving / proxying:

    # uptime
     23:22:13 up 777 days, 5:06, 1 user, load average: 0.22, 0.24, 0.29

Currently have 4 VPS with them and still looking at building more of our infrastructure there.

By the way do you offer unmetered shared / internal network between VPS?

    • Hi Scotty,

      Appreciate your support as always.

re: unmetered internal network - Yes, it's always been a feature of our traditional VPS Plans (as on the www site), but isn't (currently/yet) part of these Shop site VPS Plans (it is planned, so won't be long for the Shop site VPS).

      Regards,
      Richard.

Tried to use it on Sydney KVM SSD VPS - OZC KVM SSD - 2 but got a

"The promotion code you entered has been applied to your cart but no items qualify for the discount yet - please check the promotion terms"

am I doing something wrong ?

    • Hi jharsem,

I'm having trouble reproducing that (tried Firefox & Chrome on Windows 7) and there's been some orders come through already applying this coupon code to that exact product aok.

Could I trouble you to please email a screenshot of a cart with this issue to us (sales AT networkpresence.com.au) and we'll see if we can find what's causing that for you, as I've tried a few carts now with various combinations of options for that product with this coupon code and I get the discount applied and no error/check message.

To confirm though: You certainly should be able to apply this coupon code on the OZC KVM SSD - 2 product at checkout.

Sorry for the hassle, happy to help further with that emailed info, thanks,
      Richard.

        Emailed you the screenie.

          Hi jharsem,

Thanks so much for the screenshot and that explained it, being choosing the Annual Billing Cycle price, which already includes 1 free month in the yearly price.
ie: $14/month to $154/year for the OZC KVM SSD - 2 VPS Plan.

But that's ok, we're happy to accept this coupon on yearly service terms as well, so we've now enabled this coupon for yearly billing cycle orders of our OZC VPS Plans

Thanks again on that and regards,
          Richard.

This deal work with your storage servers?

    • Hi dyl,

This coupon code is just for the various VPS Plans on our Shop site at the moment.

Could you possibly do any deals on your storage servers?

Also any future plans of expanding to Adelaide? If not, Sydney works great.
Do you have any test files or looking glass links?

Edit: Nevermind, code actually does work for storage servers.. Awesome!

          Hi dyl,

re: Adelaide POP - the death of the NBN ended our capital city expansion plans and we're waiting for the launch of YourDC's new Data Centre in Adelaide before evaluating whether to start a POP in Adelaide or not, so for now we've recently expanded our main POP in the Equinix SY1 Data Centre in Mascot.

          Regards,
          Richard.

        • @netpres: What about Colocity? Or is their infrastructure not up to required standards?

        • +1

          Hi dyl,

No, no, it's not about any particular Data Centre in Adelaide, Colocity would be fine I'm sure.

We'll just take a look at this based on how the Adelaide Data Centre market looks after YourDC's new DC is built (it's reasonably rare for a new large DC to be built in Adelaide), so we'll wait for that and see what's on offer from there.

At least from our point-of-view, there's no rush to need to setup POPs outside of the excellent facilities we have in Sydney.

          Regards,
          Richard.

no wai! 1gb plans all sold out.

    • Hi Kogi,

Just email sales AT networkpresence.com.au about the OZC VPS Plan you see sold out and we'll fix that for you.

      Regards,
      Richard.

    • Hi kogi,

Quick update that we've put more stock of the OZC KVM SSD - 1 VPS Plan into the Shop site now for you.

      Regards,
      Richard.

  • Just purchased the $3 plan.

Internet speeds aren't too great, but for a $3/mo plan (well, 12% less actually) with 500GB of data in Australia you can't expect insanely impressive speeds. It managed a sustained 3-4Mb/s downloading from a Sydney based server with ~1ms ping to my server with netpres. This should still be more than enough to meet most needs in Australia, no real problem.

    • (can't edit)
      3-4MB/s**
      Meaning 24-32mbps.

Surprised there are not more upvotes.

If I had the need this would make an awesome cluster
