San Marco Nespresso Compatible Capsules by Segafredo (60) $30 Delivered

110
sanmarco

Hi Ozbargain Nespresso drinkers! We have just launched our Nespresso compatible coffee capsule in Australia. The capsules have been available in Europe for some months now and are from the San Marco coffee brand (part of the Massimo Zanetti Beverage group, using Segafredo Zanetti's coffee).

Until the end of the month we are running a special, when you purchase 6 boxes of capsules (10 in each box) the price will drop to $5 instead of $7.5 (calculated at checkout). You can mix and match from the 5 blends we have currently available. (More coming soon, including tea capsules from Brodies)

The free shipping can only be obtained by entering coupon code: "sanmarco" at the checkout. The price per capsule at this intro rate is 50c.

The blends available are:

https://www.segafredo.com.au/product/san-marco-milano-coffee…
https://www.segafredo.com.au/product/san-marco-decaf-coffee-…

Each capsule is individually wrapped for freshness and all capsules are manufactured using EcoPure which is an additive that makes the plastic biodegradable and speeds up the process. The origin of the coffee is Brazil (Nossa Senhora Da guia) which is one of our own coffee plantations.

We hope you enjoy this deal and as always we're looking forward to your feedback!

I have a feeling you are not going to get a positive response here

    • Hi Slo20 thanks for your feedback :)

      • What makes your pods better than these ones

        • +5

Perhaps because Segafredo has been supplying quality coffee and machines for over 30 years?

        • +1

Hi Slo20, personally I've never tried the ones offered on catch of the day so I can't comment on their taste. However from what I can see they are a cheap Nespresso clone capsule made by an unknown brand/company.

        • +1

@segafredo: Also sipping to WA is $9.90

        • +1

@Tiggrrrrr: Good point. So at the end of the day you're paying around the same price so your choice of capsules will come down to: unknown brand vs us :)

    • Why is that?

Just popped through an order, finally a quality coffee brand making pods!

Member since 4 minutes ago. Oh dear!

      • +1

Hi Slo20 I don't see how that's a problem either? I'm guessing you are trying to accuse us of commenting on our own promotion?
Keep in mind sometimes there are genuine people that appreciate our brand and coffee. No need to be negative :)

        • segafredo: Are these available at your outlet in North Perth? If so do they allow you to try the range in store?

        • @Tiggrrrrr: Hi Tiggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr YES they are :) and yes you can try them

          but…

we need to get a Nespresso machine for the showroom first, in the meantime we will be more than happy to give you some samples so you can try them at home (pick up only)

        • @segafredo: That would be great! Are you still open Saturday mornings?

        • @Tiggrrrrr: Yes we are, and we should have a Nespresso machine by then also.. :) 9-1pm

  • Why is that a problem?

    • +11

I assume you signed up just to inform us about the smooth, smooth taste of San Marco coffee.

Yep, I could sure do with a San Marco coffee right about now.

      San Marco

      :)

      • and im useless at a reply button, oops!

        • +2

BTW fraser, Grinders also does a Nespresso compatible range that is ok, and fun fact they used to be located just down from Segafreddo on Scarborough Beach Road.

      • Gold!

      • Hi Sauron, yes San Marco capsules are soooo smooth. Of the charts! Send me an email at [email protected] and I will send you a sample. (first in first served)

        • Thanks rep, email sent! :)

        • @segafredo: (first in first served)

          One person?

        • +1

@segafredo: Nice work rep. A few other reps around here could learn how to interact with customers from you.

If I like the samples you've got a guaranteed sale from me.

        • @sauron256: Thank you for your kind words sir!

        • @Utopian: 10 samples, for 300+ interested people. Free samples for at-least this many people… now THAT would get people talking on OzBargain… and fit-in with the usual offers to promote a business.

  • Haha damn that looks suss…no sorry been a lurker on here years and finally bought something that looked good. I always miss out! :)

    • Hi Fraserofadelaide, to be honest I asked around the office to see if someone was "rigging" our Ozbargain thread ;)
It's nice to get some positive feedback and we appreciate your kind words :D

      • +1

Yeah no just me, coffee lover! i got a selection to give them a whirl! looking forward to them. Cheers

  • Can you mix and match pods to get 60 or do you just have to buy 1 type of pod? Also what are the expiry dates on the pods if we purchase it today?

    • Hi pbear, yes you can mix and match the blends! I believe the expire date is may/june 2016 but let me just confirm that for you :)

  • Rep - do you guys have a trial pack, or are you able to put one together for us OzBargainers?

  • I've placed an order - I figure it's worth a shot, and cheaper than Nespresso pods.

    • Hi 4lpha, thanks for your order! We hope you enjoy them :)

      • Thanks, also created an order

Order completed 20mins after I placed, good service so far. Are you able to provide tracking numbers?

        • Hi Spence, thanks for your order. Usually the tracking number will be supplied automatically by Aus Post. (allow a day or so for that to go trough).

    • I see what you did there ;)

      • Cool!

  • OP I would buy some if your deal was for a smaller quantity.
Too many for an initial order, in case they are not to my taste!

    • +3

Hi Check, check. I see where you're coming from. Send me an email on [email protected] and I will send a free sample to the first 10 people to email me.
I've just measured and I can fit 3 capsules in 1 envelope so you will receive 3 random blends.

Please include your name + address. This is strictly limited.

  • Ok guys please stop emailing because all samples are gone! You can get a free sample in store :)

    • Surely I should get a trial pack as commission for spruiking your product? ;) Hehe.

      • Did you email me? :D

  • +1

Hi guys, thanks for all your emails. All the samples are gone. If you where within the first 10 you will have received an email back from me. For all those that missed out, you are more than welcome to come try a sample in store! For locations see: https://www.segafredo.com.au/contact-us/

      thank rep for your efforts.

can I suggest an option for the purchase of a sample pack made up of a few flavours of our own choosing? I would much rather get 2 capsules of your verona, venezia and napoli as a sample pack than one of each as I don't drink light or decaf coffee.

For these, if you look a a different way of packing them they might be able to be shipped differently and cheaper.

      • +2

Hi Nerd1 I will look into it and see what we can come up with :)

  • +2

Any plans to get them into stupidmarkets? Not real keen on buying 6 boxes of something i may not like when i can stick to the tried and tested L'Or caps.

Otherwise i'd definitely order a (paid)sample pack as suggested above, good to see more options, can't drink the nespresso crapsules.

    • Hi, yes we're working on this. But… free delivery, you don't even have to drive to the supermarket!

      • True, but you guys won't be delivering my groceries with the capsules ;)

I'll keep an eye out in colesworths

  • Order placed, will share it among family members and friends to try and see they fare. Cheers OP

    • Thanks Discopotato!

  • Why is this a bargain? Compatible product and prices are on par with the real thing as far as I can see.

    Am I missing something?

    • +1

Hi Ky1975, why is this a bargain? Well for starters it's 50c per capsule and free shipping…
Nespresso capsules start around 68c from memory. You're also buying a quality coffee from an established brand.

Are you missing something? I don't know :D

      • If you buy bulk, i would like to try one before i buy bulk, you know compatitble pods dont always work well, but the prices for a single pack are more expensive than the realthing. I will
        wait for the feedback.

      • We're missing it all, although not our fault.
Zero effort has gone into describing the product

        Style: ristretto. Intensity: 10/10
        Style: classic. Intensity: 9/10

That's it?? Not even the info written on the box.

At full price, Nespresso are locked-in.
At discount price, supermarkets have a ton of options, that are WELL described, always one on special.
        I'm going there anyway, at-least once a week… And I can trial a box for $4-5.

Since Vittoria's offering, I'm not trusting names-alone. I love their cafe product. Their capsules are terrible, IMO.

I want to support you guys, give you a go… but you need to do some/any work. The product won't sell itself.

  • hi Rep, did you find the expiry date?

    • Hi Johnx, i just check a random box which has expiry date of 28/10/16 hope this helps :)

      • thanks

  • Anyone tried these yet? Thoughts?
