07MIDAU

Was looking for a H815T but found these reasonable prices for the H815 model for those that are keen.

Note: I have no thoughts on the matter, but if you're okay with purchasing from Android Enjoyed, this deal has dropped in price too about $611 inc shipping.

On with my deal…

ValueBasket

LG G4 H815 in either Black or Brown leather is available from ValueBasket from just $629 inc shipping
Other colours available too at different prices.
Use coupon code 07MIDAU to get $7 off until July 29.

CashRewards

As mentioned by rickmagnum, don't forget to use CashRewards to get an extra 2.8% cashback.
Brings the price down to $604.58.

Other options

Next cheapest seem to be:
TopBuy in multiple colours. The Metallic Brown is $590.45 +ship (approx $41).
* Shipping & Handling $26.00
* Shipping Insurance $14.95

Note: TopBuy list the H815T in their search results at a bargain price of $599, but the pages for each item 404. I called them and they don't have the model listed so it seems the 815T model is not available from TopBuy.

Shopping Square (including Black Leather) for $599.99 +ship (approx $39).

  • Still not cheap enough atm, probably wait till the Note 5 comes out and it's gonna drop a bit more.

  • Hi,
    Thanks for the research….Does anyone know if the h815 or h815t (unsure of difference)models will work in Canada (and possibly the USA) as well as Australia. According to lg website they have a h812 model for Canada…not sure why?
    Thanks

      That kind of depends on which carrier you want to use in Canada/USA. LG Canada seems to have it's on H812 model.

      From Wikipedia:
      Bell seem to use Band2, Band4, Band7 and Band17.
      Rogers seems to use Band4, Band7 and Band17.

      The 815 specs are a little harder to accurately confirm, but I believe the 815 specs are:
      4G/LTE Network
      FDD Mode:
      * 2100MHz(Band1)
      * 1900MHz(Band2)
      * 1800MHz(Band3)
      * 1700/2100MHz(Band4)
      * 850MHz(Band5)
      * 2600MHz(Band7)
      * 900MHz(Band8)
      * 700MHz(Band17)
      * 800MHz(Band20)
      * 700MHz(Band28)

      The H815 has the addition of Band 2, which would be useful for Bell.

      It seems you can also expand the bands on the LG G4 with this hack.

      Here's the official LG 815T Specs
      4G/LTE Network
      FDD Mode:
      * 2100MHz(Band1)
      * 1800MHz(Band3)
      * 1700MHz(Band4)
      * 850MHz(Band5)
      * 2600MHz(Band7)
      * 900MHz(Band8)
      * 700MHz(Band17)
      * 800MHz(Band20)
      * 700MHz(Band28)

      TDD Mode:
      * 2300MHz(Band40)

      As per Whirlpool and Wikipedia the bands used for 4G / LTE in Australia are:
      * 2100MHz Band1 ModeFDD – Telstra (a handful of sites), Optus (Darwin & Tas)
      * 1800MHz Band3 ModeFDD – Telstra, Optus, Vodafone (capital cities)
      * 850MHz Band5 ModeFDD – Vodafone (claiming 4G across 95% metro areas by end of 2014)
      * 2600MHz Band7 ModeFDD – Optus (Syd/Mel), Telstra (select sites) & TPG (have a license for use)
      * 900MHz Band8 ModeFDD – Telstra (select sites)
      * 700MHz Band28 ModeFDD – Telstra, Optus (switched on early in a couple of cities, will be widespread in 2015)
      * 2300MHz Band40 ModeTDD – Optus (Canberra), Vivid (wireless spectrum), NBN
      * 3500MHz Band42 ModeTDD – Optus, NBN (trials at this stage)

  • Good to see prices coming down.

  • Thanks. Will wait for 500 range before buying.

    It should go down as LG announced to release another flagship this year.

      thing is, they would be somewhere near $500 if our AUD was not residing in the toilet.

    • Even the 15 month old LG G3 is still in the $400-$480 range. I'm not expecting the new one to hit near $500 for a long time

      • +1

        It's well below $400 when on sale, as no one here really buys phones that are not on sale outright anyway lol.

  • Dammit, bit the bullet and got one from T-Dimension yesterday for $670.

    • Call them up and request for cancellation/refund?

    • which model the 815T is more suited to Australian carriers than this 815 model.

  • Thanks for the research OP.
    Does anyone have any experience with Value Basket or Top Buy?
    I'm waiting for t-dimension to restock the h815t, they told me yesterday they are still unable to get stock

    • +1

      Got a gold one from Value Basket 2 weeks ago, no problems at all, delivered quite quickly also.
      Don't forget to use Cashrewards too.

  • Wouldn't G4 h818p be the model really worth waiting for here.
    versatile dual 3G/4G for best flexibility possible?

    Leaves out international bands /20/4,
    AU's TD 2300 (B40)

  • For those who want to buy products from Valuebasket. The price may be attractive but lots of regret if you require after sales support. I have been badly burned by this company.
