          Correction: MEL,SYD,TAS

    • +14

if you want the ebay deal, I am happy to forward it to you :)
it will only cost $1.70 for postage

      • Thank you. But I still dont understand why cant p/up in qld. There are woollies in bris.

        • +2

maybe he doesnt have any WW near where he lives.

        • +1

Nothing to do with this. Ebay cc offer not valid in qld.

        • +1

          p/up - palmer united party?

        • @Overtime2000: i assume he meant pickup.

      • Are you saying you would be happy to go to Woolies or BIGW and pick the SSD up then post it to me in SA? Sounds too good to be true?

        • +18

yeah why not, I live 2 min away from WW and postoffice (they are next each other). it wont take more than 10 min from my time which I am happy to give it away if it will help someone.

other OzBargainers spend hours to post deals to help others, its kind of the same thing. if you cant trust me which I do understand, you dont have to do it :)

        • @msmhw: I'll PM you :)

        • +1

@dazzywazzy: Beware of scams. There is NO WAY to get your money back if he decides to pocket the drive.

He has some rep built up that is worth the small risk.

        • +6

@minMaxRNG: I am better than pocketing the drive :)

        • @msmhw: Kind offer, would postage only be 1.70 though? I have Melbourne relis I could use but I thought postage would be higher.

        • +1

          @msmhw: I'm the U.S president.

        • @bargainhunter: I posted an ssd before in these large prepaid envelopes without problems. if you prefer different option, feel free to choose.

you are going to pay for postage fees though :)

        • @bargainhunter:

Dumb question, but for those of us not in nsw, Vic, Tasmania, how is the eBay deal better?

          EBay 106$
          SE 99$

          Am I missing something here?

        • @montorola: Yes, but if someone pickup in nsw, Vic, Tasmania and send to them,

EBay $106+Postage (with $50 eBay coupon)
          SE $99

        • @ccwwayne:

Isn't the eBay coupon tied to your account though?

Let's say I got someone to buy me ssd for 106$, I don't think I'd get the eBay voucher…

        • +3

@montorola: you should buy it from your account and put his name for picking it up.

        • @msmhw:

          Ohh that makes sense, thanks!

        • @msmhw: Ack, sorry that was me who accidentally downvoted you! I'll upvote the rest of your comments to make up for it!

        • +1

          @msmhw:

Received SSD today from you. Thank you so much for you help and contribution to the OzBargain community :)

        • @dazzywazzy: no worries, enjoy :)

      • Beware there is id check for picking up from Big W and Woolworths

        • +2

I am giving my name and my details who want to in privet message but thank for a reminder

      • This is a deal worth posting :)

  • nice to get some love for the people outside of those 3 states!

i did some research into these new ssds and all i could find was that they use mlc nand, i'm very curious which controller it uses (if history is any indication then it's a marvell one).

  • +3

It's a no no brand for me.

I bought it for 180 around one and half years ago and it died even before a year.

However, received refund from Shopping Express with no issues but the data was lost.

    • +9

Probably luck of the draw (like new car / wife) . You never know what your gonna get!

      • +3

Not really.. if you get an Intel SSD you almost don't even have to backup your data their failure rate is that low.

        • damn i bought 2 sandisk 120gb recently from msy. guess will keep them as spares.

so should I be going for intel? what about samsung evo?

          Im new to ssds.

        • Yep, my Intel 320 series 40GB which I want to replace due to size constraints has been rock solid. Looking at the 535 series now.

        • i still think its luck of the draw. i have purchased roughly 5 sandisk SSD's over the past few years. all 5 are still going strong. oldest is a 60Gb one which is about 3 years old and gets used everyday as its the main OS drive in my HTPC. other ones are in laptops and work pc's (one work pc has been on 24 hours a day for the last 2 years). but of course if they were the same price i would buy intel, but they don't call this site brandbargain.

        • @tight-a55:

I don't really think you understand, or you are not explaining properly.

You can get SHAW MSY branded junk SSD's and have them work fine for years, and that will be luck of the draw.

Same with Sandisk, they are ok but has a lot of luck of the draw.

Intel however there is no luck involved, they are just reliable SSD's. There is no reason to get any other SSD unless you want to sacrifice money for reliability.

        • I like the SanDisk SSD's they are in all my family and friends computers, am yet to have issue (approx. 5 or so) . That said I have an Samsung one but only cause it cost me nothing.

      • +6

love how you applied wives to this!

    • This model was only released at the start of the year so hopefully its more reliable that the model that failed on you.

Isn't you can get $50 from eBay for a few $$ more?

    • +15

Are the above comments completely invisible?

  • Can only buy one and shipping comes up as $9.95… am i missing a code?

    • At the checkout, up the top it says I can only order 1 but there's 2 included in the total and the code MEMORYPLUS was automatically applied. Maybe only works if you're logged in?

Shipping Cost To Post Code XxXx $9.75
      Discounts Applied
MEMORYPLUS Free Shipping Remove Coupon MEMORYPLUS -$9.75
      Discount Total -$9.75
      GSTInc. $18.00
      Shopping Cart Total
      $198.00

      • Yeah, i logged in and it makes a difference. I can see i have added 2, but i dont want to order it and have it cancelled because i ordered 2…

        • The rep is pretty active here, should be along soon enough to clarify. It definitely says you can order 2 on the product page so I don't see a problem (actually added 3 and the total was correct so maybe something is borked).

        • @foobar: Yeah, i wanted 2 and it said 2, but the code only works for one.

    • Hi pegaxs,

Maximum 1 per customer. Listing should be fixed. Apologize for any miscommunication.

      Regards
      SE

      • Decided to buy—I log in- go to edit my details (moved a month ago) & your website will NOT accept my new address? I save changes, go the the cart, it has my old address. Wtf? Now what? I already had AUSPOST monkeys also NOT deliver to my current address even though I paid for a change of address for a year…so not trusting them at all.

Any reason why I can't get the address to change, rep??

        • Nothing from rep?

I know- plenty of other people to sell to…why reply?

        • +1

  • How could I not get one. Done.

Nice deal. I'm just waiting on an M.2. format SSD to be priced at a similar price. Any deals on M.2. Shopping Express Reps please.

    • +1

I would be interested in M.2 deal as well Rep.

      • Still waiting for the rep to give me an archer d7 deal =p

How about router plus ssd bundle? ;)

  • these deals are getting really good positives, what can it be used externally? All my laptops have no more space internally.

    • Get a 2.5" HDD to USB 3.0 (make sure it's 3.0 and you have a 3.0 port or the speed is as useful as a donkey without legs) and put the drive in. Format, and done.

  • +1

    Good on you shopping express.

+1 for looking after folks who cannot get the eBay click&pick deal.

  • Rep, any deal for Logitech G602? :)

  • Anyone know the difference between the "Q25" & "G25" on the Sandisk product sku's?

    Ta.

  • So does anyone know where to select click and collect in Sydney? All I can see are postage options when I go to the checkout =s

    • Opps! Wrong thread. Please delete.

    • Figured it out, I have to change my primary address to sydney so that it will detect my sydney postcode and offer me the click and collect option.

      Hope this helps someone =)

      • This is not the best deal for the ebay voucher.

        • Then what is?

        • @montorola: don't you have to buy it on eBay? This store direct. There is one posted for eBay at 106.

  • +1

thanks, will use this for a fresh windows 10 i think!

  • Can I stick this in my daughter's 11 inch Mac Book Air?

    • +1

No,this will not fit. You need another form factor.

      • +1
