The voucher will work on any amaysim Unlimited 5GB Plan. Its just a normal recharge so its not attached to the $2 SIM. The voucher will have a 12 month expiry.

Options for 12 months Prepaid Service (Cheapest in Australia)

Option 1: You have an amaysim Service and want to get one years worth of recharge (Total Cost $238.80)

This will cost you $19.90 X 12 = $238.80 ( or $226.90 with 5% off wish GC's)

Approach the service desk and ask for the offer. Some attendants will be happy to sell you 12 vouchers and some wont. So be prepared to potentially make a few trips, i find the night staff are more helpful than day staff.
Remember that every recharge will cost you $19.90 ($2 for sim pack and $17.90 for recharge). If you have no use for the multiple $2 sim packs, ask the attendant to use the same one. Then return it so other people can have a chance.
You can apply all the vouchers at once to your amaysim account and it will automatically deduct one every month.

Option 2: Buy 2 months amaysim Unlimited 5GB from Groupon for $29 and 10 months of recharge. (Total cost $225)

This will cost you $29 + $19.90 X 10 = $228 ( or ~ $218 with 5% off wish GC's)

  • Buy 2 months amaysim Unlimited from Groupon.
  • Groupon will email you a code to redeem at amaysim website.

Option 3: Buy 1st month Unlimited from Amaysim Directly using code SAVE60 and Buy 11 Recharge Vouchers. (Total cost $236.90)

This will cost you $17.96 + $19.90 X 11 = $236.90 ( or $225.90 with 5% off wish GC's)

Applying recharge vouchers to your amaysim account

You can apply all the vouchers at once. With this method, the system will deduct one voucher per month (up to the number of vouchers entered).
As far as i know you can enter up to 12 vouchers at once (But please confirm with amaysim customer care if you want to enter more than 12 vouchers)

You can also enter one voucher per month. Please note the expiry date of vouchers will be ~ 12 months.

Use one of these methods to enter the voucher to your account

  • Via amaysim Android or iOS Apps
  • Via your amaysim Online account
  • Text VOU followed by the voucher number to 568 (i.e if voucher number is 123456, text VOU123456 to 568)
  • Call 555 and follow the prompts

Using this deal with Data Packs (i.e. 10GB Yearly Plan)

This may work recharging 10GB plans by contacting amaysim CSR directly.

          I couldn't get a screen shot but in the top right hand corner under 'Auto-renew every 30 days' it says very simply 'You have 1 saved voucher'. I would have expected a bit more detail.

    I can confirm that you can still add the $ amount of the $44.90 voucher to the account to then purchase a 10GB data pack. I just chatted with them and it took just a few minutes to get it sorted.

    I still had $70 credit, so I only needed to add one voucher. No idea if they would add multiple ones. If you try let us know.

    garden city is a great place to do it! heaps of self serve checkouts, and you dont need the checkout assistant to come confirm the recharges like happened to me at my local woollies. Only problem is that they are out of sim cards….but i live down the road so PM me and you can come borrow my 4.

    I went to Woolies Armadale, WA and had a great service counter lady. Super helpful. Said she'd never heard of Ozbargain before. Showed her the Ozbargain post on my phone over the counter, she found the part about the friendlier counter staff at night a bit amusing.

    She was worried about me wasting my money on lots of recharges and not being able to use them, really helpful and friendly. Anyway, she scanned 12 different sims and did them in two separate transactions, 7 in one, and 5 in the other.

      Check your receipt docket, I think you will see recharges expire within a year :-(

      Maybe you can sell them to friends (for a profit :-)

      I've already stacked 17 and plan to do 6 more to get a good solid 2 years.
      An online rep said that once stacked on your account there is no expiry. He also said the system will only allow you to stack 12, however I'm sitting at 17 so not sure about that. Hopefully they just dont dissapear

    For those of us who got charged $21.90 (instead of $19.90) for the SIM card + recharge:
    It comes up as a scanning error, so you get the first item for free + any others on the same receipt get refunded the difference of $2.
    I went to Fountain Gate (VIC) this morning and got it done!
    The lady at the service desk had to ask the store manager and he stated that it is a scanning error.

    But having said that, YMMV

      You won't be able to use it for an existing number, can use it for new numbers (could port an existing number from another carrier as well) only

      I have just use the groupon voucher……but do not see anywhere to add the recharges? Do I have to wait until I have my sim to be able to add the recharge vouchers?

    Woolworths Eastland (Ringwood, Vic) I bought 8 recharge vouchers through self serve in 2 transactions. Re-used 1 sim pack to scan it through. No problems.

    As stated the max number you can add is 12 at any one time to your amaysim prepaid

    BUT

    The recharges are good for 12 months, so if you BUY more than 12 recharges, just use up some (say 6 months -6 recharges) then TOPUP your account with another of the 6 recharges back to the max 12… And your good to go

    Personally i do the following, I mark each recharge with a number and a box, as i use in order ive numbered them, i mark the recharge as used. I also scan or photograph with my camera the recharges, so if they fade i have a copy as backup.

      could you clarify your source saying you can only add 12 at a time to your account?
      Curious, as I've just added 18, using one of them, so it says I have 17 stacked.
      Spoke to an online CSR and he said that there is no expiry once they are on the system but the system only allows you to add 12 at a time. Odd as I've 17 stacked atm

    Had a brainwave for those of you who are leaving your bulk voucher buying until tomoz (last day 11/8). I'm pretty sure the $10 off $100 spend voucher (which I got on the bottom of a previous receipt) would work with this as well. See if you've got any lying around. Combined with paying by Wish cards- 5% off it's a truly Ozbargainesque deal.

    I've talked to three different CSR all of which have stated that the maximum number of vouchers you can stack is 12. However, I have stacked 15 vouchers so far without any problems.

        I am told by a CSR that the expiry is only for the voucher itself, once added to the system there is no expiry. I was told that the system wont allow to stack more than 12, but in my account also I have stacked more than 2 years worth okay. Can only hope that they dont expire after a year

      From what I understand, their system only stores and applies the voucher for you.
      it doesn't actually convert to any other form in their system.
      so after the 12 months the rest of your voucher would be invalid.

    I just popped into WW at Lane Cove carefully taking in an Amaysim sim card pack which was a smart move as they didn't have any. I swiped it 7 times in the one transaction at the self-serve checkout and bought 7 recharge vouchers and paid with Dan Murphys gift cards bought to utilise the Amex cashback offer. Walked out with a receipt about a metre long but no obvious goods. I did notice that the receipt had 'RESTRICTED QTY LIMIT' printed on it so 7 looks like the max. To collect the QF points I used an EDR card that belongs to my youngest son who never ever gets any EDR offers as I didn't want to appear like a big spender and generate future EDR offers with large spending targets.

    Felt rather smug as I drove home. I am rarely able to capitalise on multiple offers like this.

    Peeps, I have confirmed with a rep, after he took 30 minutes to check and confirm, that vouchers do not expire from the system. So everyone that managed to load a good couple of years on their amaysim account are set.
