  • Love the design. Hate the battery life and the sluggishness of the recent updates. If you plan to go out for more than 12 hours, dont bother with this watch.

    • +2

      Turning off the tilt to wake feature increases battery life dramatically.

      • +3

        Yes. That is true. But it almost defeats the purpose of it though you will have to use both hands to see the time as opposed to one lifting up to see it.

    • +2

      I haven't had any of these issues. I have ambient turned on and can make it from 6am until 11pm fairly consistently.

    • +2

      The reason i purchased a Pebble and then a Pebble Time.
      These look great, but i need a better battery.

      • +1

        I bought a pebble for curiosity sake and pretty amazed at what it can do and the four to five day battery life on it. Happy because it's always on and the time is there when you lift your hand up. No turning off the screen etc.

    • +2

      I never struggle with battery life. I can often get from 7am to 10pm the next day (if I turn off at night when I go to bed).

      Love everything about this watch.

    • +1

      Looking back on it now. Regret buying this one over the LG R. I have the LG G and battery is pretty good on it for a full two days and suppose to be the same with R version. Not to mention better performance as well with a newer and better cpu to run it.

  • +3

    wow, great price for this watch. Especially considering the drop in the AUD, this is even cheaper than buying from amazon http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Moto-360-Metal-Smart/dp/B00OB…

    Love the girl, hate her attitude.
    Love the food, hate the fat……
    There is always a trade off………

    Good old Australia tax on current pricing (without coupon)
    http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Moto-360-Black-Leather/dp/B00…?
    Works out to AU$212 delivered

    • ?

      But with coupon it's $3 less. So what's the problem?

      • I didn't neg the deal, I pointed out a fact. Without TAs coupon, it would be cheaper to get this direct from the states, than bought locally. Even given the lousy exchange rate we currently have.

        • Most of that Australia tax is called GST.

        • +1

          @KentT:

          For many in the us, that Amazon price would have sales tax added (similar to our gst)

    • Yes, I hate paying for infrastructure and all the "mod-cons". Of course we have all installed our own data lines, phone, water, sewers, roads, electricity… trained as paramedics etc. Wait! What?

      Go visit a country that doesn't receive tax - e.g., Nepal - and then complain about "Australia tax"

      • You could do a lot worse than these, income-tax-free countries:
        * United Arab Emirates (UAE)
        * Bahamas
        * Oman
        * Cayman Islands
        * Kuwait
        * Brunei
        * Bahrain
        * Qatar
        * Bermuda

        • Some US states have no income tax, some have no sales tax, and a few have neither tax.

        • @lostn: But they still have SOME tax. They get you either way in the end (i.e property tax in Florida)

        • Or visit Nepal. Zero (effective) tax is horrendous.

          Your examples are my bucket list.

    Love the coupon code… Lol!

    • +ve just for code :)

  • had a look at this in a store the other day, looks nice although it was quite large compared to all the other ones that were there.
    hoping the new moto watch, as well as future smart watches will be more compact… also cheaper ;)

    • Rumour (including renders) shows a similar sized watch, plus a smaller version - much like the Apple Watch offers.

  • There's supposedly a Moto 360 2 coming soon? It's been well over a year since the current one released.

    • It's only a matter of time until it's announced. It recently passed the FCC certification.

    • +4

      Real watches don't need batteries…. ;)

    • I still fail to see why people give a shit about battery life. If it lasts an entire work day who gives a crap? Is it that hard to charge it when you come home? Do you not charge your mobile as soon as you're home? I don't understand.

      • +1

        Just because that's the norm for one device doesn't mean it should be for all. If a phone lasted a week or more (like the old Nokias etc used to do) you wouldn't be saying that.

        Unfortunately battery tech is a bit behind and now everyone is largely used to it. I find battery life a nuisance. If you could double or triple capacity (let alone 10 times) per volume that would be a major breakthrough.

        • The old Nokias didn't have colour screens or wifi or anything that drains battery life. Battery tech is behind, it progresses very slowly and then some manufactures keep putting in sub 3k mAh batteries. It's annoying and ridiculous I will concede, however, I still feel charging your phone/watch at the end of the day is a non-issue and very entitled.

      • Work day? What 8hrs? Rubbish. Charge this and charge that. Do you charge yourself at the end of the day too?

        • +1

          No because I don't get hot over minimal issues like charging a phone and watch as soon as I get home.

    Thank you! Ordered a silver all-metal watch. Very happy to try out for the price. I'm in the process of trying out Android again coming from an iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch Sport. I'm moving to the Oneplus One and now this Moto 360 all metal watch. I know both items are outdated now (or about to be), but it's a good start into the android world. And besides, it's crazy (to me) to think that I can get a great Android phone and smart watch for the same price as one Apple sport watch… Thanks for the deal Mr Arse and MobileCiti.

    • +10

      Thanks for updating us about your life in details.

      • +19

        Anytime… Thanks for showing an interest.

    • +2

      A definite votes for your details!

    • +1

      but what colour Apple watch? Don't leave me hanging… i need to know!

  • If only it was motor arse..

  • Is the strap leather or rubber?

    • +2

      leather!

      does anyone else think $40 for a metal strap is excessive?

      • Compared to Apple Watch, $40 is very reasonable. Apple is charging $400 extra for metal link bracelet comparing to leather band versions.

        • And for $40, it's a genuine Moto watch band that should at least match the metal colour of the watch casing (if that sort of thing bothers you).

  • How is the HR monitor on this?

  • I might give away on my 5k subs special :)

  • omg..
    iirc i paid about $180 for my Pebble Time.
    Moto360 is better in some ways.

  • +4

    God damn it tightarse, you're sending me broke.

  • I had looked that the 360 earlier this year, when looking for a smart watch. But it was only available in non metal band, ended up going with the Gear 2. But I'm happy to see the metal band, so an optional smart watch.

    Very responsive customer service too.

    • Are you happy with the G2?
      Any issues?

      I'm finding it hard to choose from this,LG R, LG Urbane or G2 or Samsung Live.
      Love to hear people's opinions.

      • +1

        I'm quite happy with the G2. Only issue is their updates screw with things, as the current update no longer displays the contents of messages via various messenger services I use.

        But I get a full 24 hours of usage, the camera is decent and the hardware is sound. Having to purchase apps from their store is a pain, and most aren't worth the price you pay.

  • I want a water proof one

  • It's so tempting to jump on this but I'm just going to wait for the 2nd gen.

  • The Leather black looks boss as hell. However, as one of the reviewers put it, still no reason to have one.

    • You mean like Hugo Boss or just "like a Boss…"?

  • Interesting price and thinking, this or the LG Urbane?

  • Metal or leather band?

    Can you out third party bands on it?

  • Is it worth getting when 360 2 is rumored to be close, and will be smaller?

  • Citizen Eco Drive is my choice for watches. Battery lasts like 15-20 years when you expose it to light every other day. :D

  • So cut I missed out on this deal :(

    Finally got permission to buy another watch on Saturday. A day too late.

    Any chance they'd extend the offer for my purchase?

    • They might do? They still have stock of all four models. I emailed them last week with a shipping question and they got back to me within 30 minutes (it went to my junk email box thought for some reason). There's no harm in asking though.

      • No go from mobiciti.. said the stock allocated to the special ran out.

        I thought the code just expired on the 7th. If anyone has buyers remorse, I'd happily buy any of the black models :)

        • That sucks mate - hopefully someone on here decides they don't want it. Maybe keep an eye on eBay over the coming days?

  • My Silver Metal Moto 360 arrived today. Very happy. Box looks great. Thanks again OP and MobileCiti.

    • Can you take a photo of it on your wrist? I have not been able to find this watch in any bricks and mortar store to see it in person. It doesn't look that big in the pictures, but without a good frame of reference it's hard to tell. I fear the thing is huge and bulky.

      I'm used to wearing swiss watches.

      • I'll take one later today. My local Officeworks has a dummy unit in store that you can sort of try on. It's definately bigger than the Apple Watch 42mm, but didn't look as huge as a G-shock or something like that.
