Mad Max: Fury Road - Digital Copy from Dendy Direct - $5.89

120

Hey guys,

Just saw that Mad Max Fury Road just came out on the digital outlets, which is crazy fast, wasn't it just on at the movies!? So i went looking because i missed it at the movies and found that mostly it was $20 everywhere (25ish for HD) for a digital copy and i couldn't hire it. That is until i came across Dendy Direct. They have the SD edition to buy for $5.89 which is how much it would cost just to rent it. I was pretty dang surprised, so much so i thought maybe the good folks at ozbargain would appreciate it. Maybe?

Anyway, if you get it, enjoy!

I'd say it's supposed to just be a rent @ that price?

    • The button on the page says 'own' $5.89 so maybe it is a direct download?

      • +2

'own' the rights to watch online/stream.

        • Like a book I bought, for school. THAT was a major problem. Can't PDF, copy/paste/print/anything. Wasn't cheap-enough to warrant the 'view-only' restrictions (I learnt only after buying).

    • Well, you can't actually rent it on Google Play, The Playstation Store or iTunes so i'd say this is legit.

      • Yep, button now says 'Own $5.89'

Mad Max in SD is practically a crime :(

    But seems legit.

I bought several movies in SD from Google Play and you really don't notice anything different while watching. I think it requires more of a side by side comparison. Besides have you been to the Cinemas lately, its like their projectors are ultra low definition. I went for the first time in over a decade a while ago and I though they must be kidding at the quality, but they weren't. Terrible and this was a major chain/city's cinema.

      • Alright SD deniers, all I can say is I've now seen it and you haven't. (BTW, its great. A lot of Australian faces too)

  • never heard of DendyDirect, I guess it's part of Dendy Cinemas?

  • How do u know its only SD?

      There's no option for HD.

        +1 for powers of deduction

      • there is for me 720p that is, looks awesome on my screen

I'll wait for the bluray :-)

The 3D in this movie was great

  • If you purchase, do you get an avi or something to download? Or does it just allow you to stream it?

    • +1

      Streaming only I believe.

      • Thanks
Great film but I'd only be interested if it was a download.

        • I haven't used the service but I'm a big fan of EzyFlix. With that you can download movies as well as stream. Downside is you MUST use their app to watch things on.

But hey - I just bought 6 movies for $9 recently so it does the ozbargainer in my proud.
