After several requests I'm back again with another deal on everyone's favourite Quick Charge 2.0 devices!

1st Deal: Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 30W 2-Ports USB Car Charger for $9.49 US (~$13AU) with the coupon buybuybuy

2nd Deal: Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 42W 3-Port Wall Charger for $14.99 US (~$20AU) with the coupon nottightarse

Unfortunately this is not a tightarse-endorsed deal, but I hope it's pretty close!

For those of you who do not know about Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology… tests have shown that a 3300mAh battery can be charged from 0% to 60% in only 30 minutes! The Quick Charge port is also backwards compatiable with any devices that do not support the technology and the remaining ports are VoltIQ USB ports which are able to detect the charging protocol used in your device to provide the fastest possible charge without the risk of overcharging, short circuiting etc. More information on the Quick Charge technology can be found here

Some of the Quick Charge 2.0 Compatible models include:

  • Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung GALAXY Note Edge
  • LG G4, LG G Flex2
  • HTC One M9, HTC One M8, HTC One mini
  • Sony Xperia Z3, Z4, Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet, Z4 Tablet
  • Google Nexus 6
  • Motorola Droid Turbo, Motorola Moto X
  • ASUS Zenfone 2 line
  • Xiaomi Mi3, Mi4, Mi Note

And finally, please don't forget to check out our Facebook Group and Coupon Zone for more exclusive offers!

    I was expecting ClearArse…

    • +2

I'm saving that one for later.

  • +4

Is there a deal for the two combined?

    • I'll ask.

      • +1

u got a reply on comobo yet? can u also check if can buy multiple of the combo?
        i'd like to get 2x combo :)

        • I won't get a reply until tomorrow afternoon.

        • @Clear: Did you get a reply?

        • @Clear: any replies yet?

        • +1

@Taxi01: Still waiting for a response on that one sorry.

        • @Clear:
Just waiting on the deal for 2 car chargers too!

        • @Clear: reply tomorrow? i'd like to order and use it when i go overseas. :)

      • +2

        That's a tight ask!!

  • +1

Damn. I bought a single port one for $17.50 a couple of weeks ago on eBay (still waiting for it, despite the stock apparently being in Australia). The 3 port for only a bit more would have been great.

  • Thanks Rep for fulfilling my requests! But why didn't I get to choose the coupon codes? ;)

    • +1

Because foodmart would've infringed copyright :P

    • +1

Next time I'll let you choose ;)

    • I got a coupon made in your honour ;) Sorry, I didn't let you choose.

It's FOODMI for the XiaoMi Power Strip here.

  • Important to note that the wall charger only comes in an EU or US plug form (would have to buy a travel adapter or similar to convert it to AU plug).

    • +2

REP to ME IN PM: AU adapter will come included with anything that has a different plug. Asked for confirmation tho

      • Did the specify which adapter on their site? I just want something small that stays together for travelling.

        • It's a basic AU/CN adapter. You would be better off with a travel adapter for travelling.

    • +1

Bought it during the last deal and the wall charger came with an Australian adapter

    • +2

You will get an adapter. I personally use the XiaoMi power strip as it has an AU plug and takes US/EU adapters too. Obviously it doesn't meet Aussie standards, but it's a lot safer than the generic one.

      • That is a good idea as i use it as well with Maha C9000 and EU Plug but the Xiaomi power strip already has 3 built in usb ports which are pretty good at charging stuff.

        • I use the USB ports to charge my XiaoMi power banks. I'm surprised an Aussie company hasn't thought of this yet.

        • @Clear: As I understand it, Jackson electrical sells some power strips with USB charging port on it, and Crap of The Day also sells some surge protector boards with USB ports.

Jackson products are usually so brutally overpriced and low-amp that it's hard to justify them over the Xiaomi power strips.

        • @Oz Bogan: I was more thinking of having the US/EU ports inbuilt with the AU ones. I almost bought a Jackson one with USB ports at Kmart until I found this.

      • +4

Happen to have a discount on this power strip?

        • +5

I'll ask Geekbuying and see if they can get me one.

        • @Clear: Thanks!

        • @Clear: im keen for this too!!

        • @Clear: Damn! I bought one together with the wall charger in this deal =[

        • I'm interested too!

          @Clear:
          Any update ????????????????

        • I have asked Geekbuying and they will get back to me. Unfair neg too, I have no obligation to provide you with a coupon.

        • @Clear: It's gone now due to -6 negs -_-

        • @raven2000: Also got reported before it was downvoted to oblivion :)

        • +2

Success! You can get it here for $13.99 USD using the coupon FOODMI

        • +2

@bhutcho: You can get it here for $13.99 USD using the coupon FOODMI

        • +2

@Hirolol: Here you go. It's $13.99 USD using the coupon FOODMI

        • +2

@elusive: Alright it's $13.99 Here using the coupon FOODMI

        • @Clear: Thanks. Pity it only applies once, but I suppose that keeps me from buying more than I need!

        • @elusive: Should work if you make a separate order ;)

        • +1

@Clear: True, but then I can't choose that fancy 7-day $4.50 shipping (without paying that twice too). Ah well, still better than before and I can finally ditch the flimsy adapters soon.

  • When adding the 3 port wall charger, which country am I meant to choose for the plug? no AU option

    • It's based on order country. The packing team will add it in for you.

  • +1

Bought the car charger, Mrs has an S6 so she'll be happy :) ~$16.45 with registered shipping

  • Can anoyone help me with the 'Cheapest' way to pay for it with westpac ignite credit card or anz visa debit?
    No 28 degrees sadly..

      100% Original

Implying that anything you read on aliexpress can be trusted …

  • Limit of one per customer?

    • Not to my knowledge, but you'll have to make separate orders if you want to get more than one as the coupon will only work on 1 in the cart.

  • +1

Thanks - bought 2 of the car chargers. Had to place two separate orders to get the discount on both, but still a great deal.

  • anyone know? how fast they charge as compared to normal car charger? also will this work with iphone6?

    • The iPhone 6 does not support Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology, however it will still charge at 2.1a which is still quite fast.

      • Is there a list of which phones are supported? (Edit: Just read op post properly). I have Galaxy S5 so no use…

        • Unfortunately only the Korean version of the S5 supports QC2.

  • 12volt on a usb port?

    Edit: Apparently so…

  • Hey rep, is it possible for you to negotiate a deal similar to this please? Thanks.

    • Do you want a deal on that specific cable or another one?

      • How about this? Its on ebay for $4.63, so I would be happy with anything under it. Thank you, I really appreciate it.

      • Any luck clear?

        • Probably not until Monday. I'm interstate currently.

        • @Clear:

hey clear, are you back yet?

        • @lyl: Yep. I'll harass them again now.

        • @Clear:

          Thanks mate. youre the best!!!

        • @Clear:

Sorry for harassing you about your harassing, but any luck clear?

        • @lyl: No. They're 2 hours behind and only have about 30 minutes off in their 10 hour days.

        • @Clear:

          Oh ok thanks

        • @lyl: Okay, I've finally heard back. Thanks to the horrible exchange rate they won't be able to beat the price, so feel free to purchase from eBay.

        • +1

          @Clear:
Thanks for asking anyways. Best rep ever.

  • This doesn't use a figure 8 power cord like the 5 port one does it? So the only way is to use an adapter on the power plug right?

    • That is correct.

  • +1

succumbed, seems like a good deal.
checkout process was fairly painless (first time buying from geekbuying)

  • Just tried to buy 1 Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 30W 2-Ports USB Car with the coupon code buybuybuy and got the error message "Sorry, the coupon code is not valid for orders less than USD 16" (although the shopping cart does show a discounted price of US8.99 + $0 shipping)

Can the store rep confirm the $US16 restriction for this coupon code?

    • Yep it works. Are you logged in? Make sure this is what's in your cart. Should be $16.99USD and $9.49 after coupon.

  • +2

Do you have code for 4 port car charge, because 2 port really not enough. Thanks

  • What about a deal for the car charger that does the Asus TF700 Infinity tablet?
Will this work for the tablet as requires 15V I think?

    • As this is not 15v it probably wouldn't work.

  • Bought some 2.1a car chargers before. Either they don't work or just one port charges at 1000mA if you plug in two, both just keep restarting charge over and over again.

My car has 2 ports max 120W 12V. Does this charger do the same or can I change 2x 2.0a items at the same time without issue?

    • -2

I'll take that avoidance as a 'yes, they are the same' -_- glad I asked before I wasted more money.

  • Hi rep, so how will Geek buying know to send an AU plug? Based on order country I assume, or is there an option to select?

    • The product description says it comes with an EU plug
Edit: Missed the post above regarding the adapter.

    • Yeah, it's based on order country.

  • +1

Highly recommend the car charger, quick chargers every time.
I never had any luck with 2.1a chargers but this one does as promised.

  • Has anybody had trouble with their standard post option arriving OK or is it better to opt for the US$1.99 registered option?

  • How long does shipping take as I am leaving the country in 2 weeks and never coming back.

    • depends on the shipping option you choose. Free shipping is 30-40days. Fastest which you pay for is 3-5days with other options in between.

    • Free shipping will take 3-4 weeks. TNT/DHL is typically 3-5 days and EMS is ~7 days.

  • Bought these in the last deal. Paid the $5 extra for Toll shipping which took 4 days from china. Have run tests comparing this wall charger to my other QC2.0 charger (Tenergy) and they both achieved 21% in 15 minutes. Very highly recommended. I also got the car charger but haven't had a chance to give it a shot yet. OP, any chance you'd be able to throw in the cable bundle as well, having a 5 port charger without quality cables is pretty annoying.

    • They are now charging over $10 for faster shipping.

      • Shipping used to be at $20+ so I'd say it's an improvement. It is calculated by weight, quantity of items etc though.

  • +1

I just ordered 2 of the 2-Port USB Car Chargers. Thanks OP.
Did I misunderstand something though, because it seems the coupon code was per order, not per item.
I had to buy them seperately, as the coupon code was only applying to one item, in a 2 item order.

  • Does anyone know if there are side effects to using these quick chargers? I understood that slow charging is actually better for maintaining the health of your battery.

    • If I'm not mistaken, that is a myth. Like how draining lithium-ion batteries to 0% is apparently good.
