ALDI - King Single 4wd Mattress $69.99

90

Pretty good price for a 4WD mattress.
They're $20 cheaper than anywhere else I could find for this size.

Remember these are the cheaper non bonded Mattresses, unlike Thermarest, etc that are bonded but much more expensive.

The catalog is not yet available online, but printed on the stores.

Pretty good price for a 4WD mattress.

Ours just sleeps in the garage…

does this 4wd have good springs?

  • How easy are these to roll up again?

    • +1

They're not too difficult. I have a Queen bed size from a different brand.. now that can't be done by yourself.

  • Why do people never link to the aldi site/catalogue?

    https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-22-…

    • because it wasn't there when I checked, can one of the mods edit the link, please?

      • Not a mod but fixed it anyway :)

Anyone tried this - is it any good?

BTW Harvey Norman has one, $40 plus delivery. HN doesn't specify dimensions. Just Single, double, etc.
His double price is $60 plus delivery.

    • Thanks for this. Seems a better deal.

    • that is a good deal.
the only minus is the fact that it's 70cm instead of 80cm and 8cm thick instead of 10cm.
it's online only and shipping comes at $12 for metro Sydney.

      Maybe you should post it?

Where did you get the sizes from? I don't see them on their website.

Actually I'm looking for a solution for someone who is coming to stay at my place for a month, for a holiday.
Would this be comfortable enough, or would a blow up mattress be better?

        Anyone used something like this?

they're in the specifications area, the queen size doesnt have the size though.
They're "Roman" brand so the specs are also elsewhere on the net.

I have a Queen size of a different brand, it's very comfy, it is a mattress, the air part ir only for transporting.

By removing the air you're able to roll it into a smaller package.
The only problem is the package is not that small anyway, and you're meant to store them unrolled so they last longer.

Queen size is very large and difficult to roll so it's best to buy two singles, easier to store open too.

for $40 the HN ones are a steal, although a serious camper might want the added width and depth of the one I posted.

There is also the bonded type that is usually preferred by walk in campers that are much smaller and lighter, but way more expensive, and not as thick

        • @elcheapoinoz:

OIC, thanks. Have to click Single on RHS to be able to see the specs!

Interestingly their Single and Double brands are different:-

          Single: Roman
          Double: Koda

I wonder if the Aldi one is more or less comfortable than these…

  • Would shier be much difference in terms of comfort in this 10cm thick one vs the roman 8cm thick one.
Can seem to find any information on the Roman one (Model MKRBS) other than on the Harvey Norman page.

    • Not sure to be honest, I guess it depends on the firmness of the foam, persons weight, and individual taste. HN one is a good deal, specially if you got other stuff to buy up to $150 you get a $25 signup discount.
