Where's TA when you expect him to be involved?

    Kleenex $10 for 24 + $15 to charity?

Kleenex + your charity choice probably feels better too…

      • $15 to charity?

      holy crap that's expensive !!!

    • The Kleenex ones are not double length.

      • +2

But they're not as rough Anna…

      • Ahh, I see. The Kleenex ones are 180 sheets. Also this has free shipping.

        So:
        Kleenex $10 / 24 / 180 = $0.23 per sheet
        WipeMyAss $25 / 24 / 400 = $0.26 per sheet

$0.03 per sheet to charity, ~$0.09 per wipe, ~$0.54 per deposit? ~$1.08 on curry night.

So maybe $4 per person per week to charity, providing you're not using toilet paper for other reasons… (I meant blowing your nose, or wiping a spillage.. sickos)?

          Kleenex $10 / 24 / 180 = $0.23 per 100 sheets
          WipeMyAss $25 / 24 / 400 = $0.26 per 100 sheets
          WipeMyAss $43 / 48 / 400 = $0.22 per 100 sheets

But we should compare like with like. WhoGivesACrap is 3 ply recycled. So we compare with… oh, there isn't one.

Let's compare with 2 ply recycled then: Naturale.

Also, let's compare the best value WhoGivesACrap, which is 48 rolls for $43 (with discount).

          So:
          WhoGivesACrap $43 for 48x400 = $0.22 per 100 sheets
          Naturale $6.12 for 12x240 = $0.22 per 100 sheets

Even comparing the 48 roll box with Kleenex, WhoGivesACrap comes out on top.

Edit: beaten with the maths by roughana

          @roughana: Doh!!!
          Thanks for the correction! :)
          $0.0003 per sheet!

        • @rompastompa:

But what size are the sheets?

This seems to be a private company.

They're not registered as a charity.

Seems to be some kind of marketing gimmick so people pay over inflated prices for a product, thinking they are doing something good…

Why isn't it reported as a Fraud to the authorities?

      Because it isn't a fraud.

Money DOES go to a Charity.

      • +2

Why isn't it reported as a Fraud to the authorities?

        Who said it's fraud?

It's a gimmick to trick people into thinking they are doing something good, when all they are doing is making money for private individuals…

        • Why is it a trick? (I can't see your unpublished original comments above).
This company gives 50% of profits to charity.
I haven't looked through their annual records, but I'm pretty sure kimberly-clark/kleenex doesn't donate that much.

Surely a company that donates some profits to charity is better than a company that donates zero?

They were re: the TITLE which a Mod rectified.

          Why is it a trick?

It's been made to look like a charity…

        • @jv:

No it hasn't. It looks exactly like what it is… a company that donates to a charity.

        • @teambigred:

          Good point, actually.

We should all demand that Kimberley-Clark, a massive USA multinational, donate to Third World toilets.

    • I'm not convinced yet that the prices are actually over inflated

      • I'm not convinced yet that the prices are actually over inflated

Compare it to 'No Brand' toilet paper, not top of the range…

  • Probably aimed at the wrong group given how tight most people are on this site.

    • I found the bargain finally. Took me a while to get it out.

      • +2

        BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

That brought Tears to my eyes!

As well as yours, I'm sure, when you finally Got It Out! :)

    • @rse is tight but mouth is wide open with vErbal diarrhOea.
      talking about me? : )

  • How ironic.
Toilet paper that gives you the same warm feeling as pissing in your pants, while achieving much the same.

  • We bought this last time. Everything is totally recyclable - the box, the paper wrapping, the core. The one recycled TP I would use from Coles comes in non recyclable plastic wrap and is more expensive. The other, which comes in paper wrap is like sandpaper. WGAC is quite decent. Not as soft as Quinton of course (but I found the quality has decreased anyway), but for the environmental aspect, I prefer WGAC. I would like to see the company publish something to prove they donate, but I'll trust that they do in the meantime and their product is really quite good.
