Tmart currently says 71 left. It said 72 a few minutes ago, but I just bought one, so the counter is real-time. According to Tmart, the discount is "57% off".

Many other tablets and phones available with similar discounts, on this page:
http://www.tmart.com/promotion/tablet08.html

Website said free delivery (the default) is 4-11 business days, and the item will ship within 2 days.

I always recommend that everyone purchases through Paypal, it makes it much easier to get a refund if anything is broken or not as described.

  • Forgot to add, Tmart charge you in AUD if ordering through PayPal. No need to worry about currency fluctuation between when you order and when Paypal charge it to your CC.

    • Target (Eastgarden), selling Netgreen brand 10 inch for $75 (down from $150 normal price) & $50 for 7 Inch,
for similar crappy specs - specially the screen res :P

At least it has oz warranty

But does it have Google play? I bought a 10 inch Pendo pad from Coles for $50 a year ago, but not having Google Play made it difficult to install apps. Have to side-load.

    Plus Cashrewards %9.60

  • Bought.
Will be used exclusively on my Skycontroller for the Bebop I bought off here last week.

  • Tablet Wallpaper here we come! Twice the price of the crap Dick Smith ones but it seems these will actually work, aren't 'Hot Pink' in colour and less are needed due to their size. Giddy-up… but only 70 available, hmmm :|

I always recommend that everyone purchases through Paypal, it makes it much easier to get a refund if anything is broken or not as described.

Please explain how to get a refund if you received a broken tablet. How are you going to send it back to China?

    • I have done it before, when an Amazon supplier sent the wrong item. I asked THEM to pay return postage, as the problem wasn't my fault, and they refused. Paypal sided with me, supplier refused to play ball, so I got the refund and kept the item (which I gave away, because it wasn't what I wanted).

    • On second thought, my reply doesn't answer your question. If it arrives broken, then I don't know whether PayPal will help. Perhaps I should have said "defective or not as described".

I wonder if my CC's damage policy will cover breakage, if I bought through PayPal?

      • If you received a defective tablet but PayPal requires you to send it back at your cost then you might as well write it off because the shipping cost is far more than the cost of the tablet.

Paypal offer a free returns service

We’ll refund your return shipping costs, worldwide.*
We know you love online shopping. And when you receive something that isn't what you expected, it can be disappointing. That’s why we’ve extended our Refunded Returns service to run all year, every year.
Activate today to receive up to 8 returns to the value of $45, every year.

        • @andyman1908:
$45 won't even cover half the return shipping cost.

        • @jackofspade:

I highly doubt that. Ive sent my faulty tablet from focalprice back for a sensible price. Much less than $90 and still less than $45

        • @andyman1908:
How did you send it back that cheap? I need to send a phone back to China and the only way is by international courier because Australia Post do not accept any package containing lithium battery.

Another thing in the not-so-good category: looking at the side-on pics, it looks like there's a DC jack, so probably the charger has a DC plug. I don't know if it can charge from the USB port, so a possible negative.

    • Yep definately a negative for me. Was looking for a excuse not to buy and u found it for me. Thanks!

most tablets use the same charger.

Comes up at $89AUD for me, how do i get it for $60?

    • You are right, the discount has reduced, now says 37% discount where it previously said 57% discount. As there aren't any other tablets at a similar price to the original deal, I'm marking this deal as expired.

Weird that the discount has changed, when the website says the sale still has 5 days to go. Maybe it was a pricing error, because they had several tablets that appeared to only differ in the case colour, but there was a substantial difference in price.

  • How do we get this down to $60 guys?

    • Sorry, looks like they changed the discount, so I'm marking the deal as expired.

  • Mine arrived today, and it is reasonably well packed. I ordered on 25/8, just before posting this deal.

Also, the pamphlet that comes with it says it can be charged by either USB or by the charge socket. The plugpack is 5V 2A output, so if you already have a USB charger with that output, you don't need to use the US-plug charger that comes with the tablet.

    • Argh. I regretting not buying it more now! My main showstopper was not being able to charge by USB.

      • Well I've had a play with it now, and not all is good. Works okay once running, but I've found a few problems:
        - it plays an annoying sound during power-up, when the volume controls don't work. I found an app that mutes the volume as you shut down and restores the volume after power-up, but it doesn't work if fast boot is selected. So I have the options of annoying sound or slow booting, one or the other.
        - it has one of the same problems as stock android, you can't transfer APK files via bluetooth. The fiddly work-around is to rename the files as JPG files, transfer them, and rename them back. Except that the stock file manager won't let you change the filename extensions, so I had to find a file manager that would (Neptune Explorer). I keep APK files because there are some old apps I like to load on my newer android devices, where the currently-available version of the app isn't as good as the older version, or where the app has disappeared from the market.
        - the standard browser is crap on youtube, have to use the youtube app if smooth playback is desired. I hate doing things differently on a desktop and on a tablet, why can't they make the browser work the same?

  • Just unpacked this. Charges off USB but touchscreen doesn't work at all. Into the vortex of Returning Faulty Goods Offshore for me now.

    • Sorry to hear that, I hope you have better luck with your next online purchase.

If you paid via Paypal, see Andyman1908's comment above, "Paypal offer a free returns service".

Apparently you have to "activate" this service. I don't know if you can use it to return something you bought before you "activated" the service. If you do use this, please reply so everyone can know if Paypal's return service works this way.

Alternatively, you could file a dispute with Paypal, saying DOA, and asking the vendor to pay return postage. I did this once, the vendor didn't want to play ball, so Paypal sided with me and I got a full refund (and I didn't have to return the item). YMMV, it does seem like you've had it a fair while, and that may affect Paypal's decision.

Had it waiting for me for about two weeks, in the box. If that stops a warranty claim then we're all in trouble. Tmart were in contact today, made three suggestions that ignore the fact that the touchscreen doesn't work (calibrate the screen multiple times! Install less files!) so I do believe I'm going to get jerked around.
I've activated PayPal's return service so we'll see if it saves the day. Most expensive item i've bought overseas so here's hoping one of them does what they claim.

  • Welp, 6 weeks since ordering. I finally bothered to "track order".

2015-08-25 Your payment has been received, your order is being processed.
2015-08-25 Your order is being processed.

So it has just been "pending" all this time.

    • Perhaps they ran out of stock. Fortunately, they are currently in stock, so if you prod Tmart a bit, they might finally send it. Current sale price is AU$101.64!!!

I received mine exactly a month ago.
