  Great Deal! It's just a shame the Nexus player isn't as good….

  I have had one replaced under warranty after the Bluetooth stopped working and therefore no remote. So now I have a brand new one sitting here at home that I haven't bothered unwrapping because the software is so ordinary. The restriction of apps really kills this device and the fact that the Netflix app has an annoying bug that requires you to login after every episode of a series is just ridiculous.

    That's all been sorted out now mate. Do an update and its no longer a problem. It's been fixed as of last week and works as it should now. (There is also an official update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow)

      Good to hear, I might set it up again this weekend and see how it goes. All it needs than is more streaming apps which should come eventually.

  Only 8gb storage? That is pretty low for a device that supports a gamepad. Those fps shooters are at least 2gb or more.

    Well one difference, you can install apps and games on the nexus player. One con with the nexus player it doesn't have Ethernet.

        @holden93: Mate, it was simply a play on the term 'comparing apples with oranges', it was a joke and to most of us it landed well. Easy to see that turbodude wasnt having a go at you…. as Frankie says 'Relax'…. that is of course, before he goes to Hollywood. ;-)
