      Tab S2 has been recently announced too hence this price drop. Quite cunning of MobileCiti to post the 4G model too since it's not on the eBay sale and hardly any stores stock it anymore.

      Edit: Available from Kogan for $529 delivered which will be about $520 after cash back. Depends how much you value Australian warranty.

      Depends on personal preference at the end of the day.

      General consensus is that iOS is easier to use but you do pay a premium. If your family are all using Apple devices, it's easier to stay on the ecosystem and Apple has great warranty returns too.

      Ok deal at COTD for the iPad mini 3

      Else also consider a Nexus device like the 7 or 9 as these are great, powerful and easy to use.

      If you are thinking about iPad, wait for Tab S2 8.0 or get Tab S 8.0.
      Tab Active 8 has same spec as Tab 4, which is a budget tablet. The thing that Active has for it is the rugged design and replacable battery.

      I'd wait for the new iPad mini release as well, if you are not in a hurry. There was a rumour about how the new iPad Mini will be similar to iPad Air 2 , I am not sure whether that rumour implies that iPad Mini 4 will be as powerful as iPad Air 2 in terms of spec as well. Apple rarely change the RAM on their mobile products, so my personal opinion is that the spec will hold as reasonable for many years.

          Yeah you are pretty much paying for the Samsung brand as both tablets are pretty similar. Sony OS is so close to stock too, they have near perfected phones and tablets but just aren't getting the sales.. Hoping the z5 will change this :)

          :P I am getting the feeling that it's either never going to happen or it's going to happen late this year.
          It works fine as is and there are not much I want from Lollipop (other than ART) though, it doesn't stop me from getting pissed about it however.
