    These mechanical timers are better than many digital ones in that they will pick up and start working again if there is a power outage. Time may not be right, but at least your lights etc will keep going on and off if you use them to make your house look lived in during the holidays.

      I agree, i prefer these over digital.
      I had some digital ones running my fish tank a long time ago - sometimes (for whatever reason) they would go hay wire and I'd lose all my settings and nothing would turn on!
