    I just picked up my Optus SIM today. Never having used prepaid I don't understand how I am going to use this while in the USA.

    The prepaid monthly plan, and every other plan, says it's for use within Australia only. The monthly plan says it includes $5 extra credit for International calls and roaming. So does that mean I only get to use $5 worth while overseas?

    In case this is useful for anyone - u don't need to be an Optus customer to get the SIM. I had booked an international stay via AirBnB and I was sent an email from them today with subject line: "things to prepare you for your trip". I nearly didn't bother opening it. The offer was at the bottom of the email.

    NOT WORKING, keep coming up with error

    "Hmmm. The details you've entered don't match what we have in our system. Please check you have entered the Account holder details correctly."

    Spent the whole afternoon calling Optus phone and Online Live Chat, and no staff knows anything regarding this promotion

      Not sure why its not working but I just tested and it works fine. I only have a mobile plan with Optus, simply followed on screen instructions and it worked fine.

        I think it was a limited time promo, i've made a booking 1 day before it was posted up here and checked the link and received the simcard. The condition was you have to book abroad, but a place in australia.

    Can not for the life of me get this to work? I Enter details for the $50 verification code but the circle of death keeps spinning and spinning and I never receive it….is anyone else getting this issue?

    Not sure why this is marked as Expired, while I believe both offers, $50 off first time AirBnB booking and $30 SIM card, are still available or running (subject to meeting criteria).

    I was not able to get the code for the $50 off, due to issue with Optus / AirBnB verification / validation, like several other people already mentioned previously. However, I was able to submit my AirBnB reservation code for a $30 SIM card (awaiting for Optus confirmation though).

    Here is the Optus T&C and page to redeem the $30 SIM card:

    Reading the T&C, I also believe that one does not need to be an Optus customer to claim the $30 SIM card. And that one may claim 1 SIM card per booking.

    I just asked the optus mod alistar and he gave me a optus $50 code for first stay which is OPTUS_EEJZY. Hope it helps
