Hi all,

Came across these on the Officeworks site, great if you have a party coming up, or are just too lazy to wash your dishes.

There is definitely stock for click and collect around Sydney. If you are ordering more than 1, be warned that they are deceptively heavy, ~3kg a carton.

  • Thanks, do you know if theres stock anywhere?

    • I just did a quick search around Sydney, and click and collect is available at all the CBD stores (Pitt, Hunter, Clarence), as well as Metro stores like Hornsby, North Ryde, Punchbowl etc, not sure about the other states

      • I just did a quick search around Sydney

What postcodes are you using? All show out of stock.

    • +3

Seems like there is only 2 units left in Australia and those 2 units can only be ordered online with a NSW postcode O_o

    • Yes, there are a few million for free in land fills in various locations.

  • +1

Won't have to wash up for a year. Thanks.

    • 3kg of landfill for only 25c

      • It's recycled…. net waste = 0
        water used = 0

        Win / Win

  • Got one! Wouldn't let me buy 2 packs though :(

  • NO more stock, said online unavaliable.

At the final step it said no stock.

  • No stock anywhere near me in Vic

  • No stock would have been awesome

  • thanks guys got 500.

An old taste sensation. Paper plate. Nice with steak and salad. What memories that brings back.

  • rkn it costs more than 25cents to wash 500 plates? (just water and detergent cost)

    • +1

      (profanity) yeah, easily.

  • Too lazy to wash your own dishes? Whoever buys them for that purpose ought to be shot, to save them perishing the hard way, via starvation when we run out of resources. Just wash up any of you pathetic types who couldn't be arsed, it might save your life, or your children's.

    • ?? don't see how washing up dishes would save our children's lives?
who doesn't want to save time?

      • -1

Wasting paper, a finite resource, as opposed to using the same plate one million times.

        • +1

it's not a "waste" if it saves time and serves a purpose? Also saves water and detergent, both which are also finite resources
Might as well not use a car coz it uses petrol, and only own one piece of clothing because cotton is a finite resource.

        • +1

as opposed to using the same plate one million times.
there's only 500 plates in this deal not one million.

        • @ed123: In that case lets go mental and order 10,000. Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids.

        • @bargainslut: cant, SOLD OUT :(

        • Finite resource = fuel, coal etc
Paper is definitely classified as renewable.

Btw coated plates = recycleable but not compostable. Uncoated plates = unrecycleable but compostable

  • +1

Lol you guys bought up all the plates? What the flip are you gonna do with 500 paper plates - thats like 20 years worth!

This is the epitomy of buying things you dont need just coz they are cheap!

    • negative, it's less than one year's worth, assuming you have two meals a day that requires a plate

      • Do you also wear furs and blood diamonds when you drive your nuclear powered hummer with dolphin leather seats and old growth forest dash ?

        • doubt he'd be using paper plates if he could afford all that

        • +2

@aza0003: i think to sustain that lifestyle, youd have to make sacrifices to afford it.

Lets assume porcelain crockery is one of them.

        • a nuclear powered hummer would be very efficient. sign me up!

    • Epitome.

  • meh, Four N Twenty Magic Salad Plate is where it's at, folks! :-)

  • so confirmed no stock nationwide?

    • Just checked the system and can confirm they are gonski!
