The number of hard drives I have bought is starting to equal the number of Udemy courses I have.

    :)

    • Lol impressive. Which brand do u recommend then? In terms of not dying after 1 year.

      • +1

I recommend the one you already have in your cupboard :)

Yeah, they don't last forever, but I haven't detected a trend favouring a particular brand.

Still not quite reach the number of free Amazon books or eneloop batteries yet..Keep it up..

  • Does anyone know what model HDD is on the inside of the enclosure? Only thing I've found so far is it's a 5400rpm drive.
I'm thinking it might be a cheap upgrade for my PS4.

    • +7

Beware that recent WD portable drives have all been native USB with no sata connectors. Makes it very difficult to re-purpose outside of the enclosure.

Very good price though OP. Especially the 2TB model.

      • Darn. Thanks for that.

      • WD is the worst when it comes to data recovery.

  • Does this work with prepaid visa? Also where to buy said cards if so?

  • +1

I can see the price as $110. Do i need to register for membership and checkout with visa option to see the $88 price for WD 2TB

Hi guys i am collecting evidence against COTD'S referral program. I believe it is not working. Has anyone here received any store credit through their referral program lately?

If you are looking at buying anyhow could just 1 person sign up using my referral link from original post Hereand send me screenshots please. Really need to give them a kick up their butt. Just one person will be enough.

    • I had 1 referral work.

    • could just 1 person sign up using my referral link

      Nice try.. :D

      • Thanks mr_alligator. No need to be snappy. I won't get rich in $10 credit which i believe isn't working anyway. I just dont want these people taking us for a ride.

        • Just kidding mate..I also had a referral not work recently..but only tried once with a friend so don't know what went wrong, never bothered again. Also I believe that overall this referral systems are widely abused..

        • AFAIK you are only given credit if the referred person actually buys something, whether there is a minimal $ they have to spend, I can't recall.

        • @payton:

It's not just the credit. It's their counter too. See here.

        • @rack:
I haven't had any referral bonus come in for a very long time, I think you're on to something here.

  • This will work as extra install storage on a XBone, ya?

  • Quest bars less than 30 dollars a box. Good range of flavours available.

thanks, bought the 1TB. The Visa Checkout/Club Catch signup combo is a bit weird, wasn't sure that the offer had been reduced to 57.60 only after I had paid and had a look at the actual invoice!

Can I cancel my Club Catch subscription before the unit arrives?
