Just refinanced with ING who did home loan at 3.99 and investor loan at 4.27 (from memory) when attached to the home loan if you're looking for a similar deal. Includes offset account and other bells and whistles too. Some good deals around at the moment.

    • You're absolutely right stephengreen that there are some good deals around at the moment. Negotiate with your own bank first before you make the switch as banks can match the rate as well otherwise look around for great deals.

      • Except ANZ who were about 0.7 higher and offered the princely discount of 0.05 to keep me :)

ANZ and NAB are the worst at negotiating

        • @dy4me: you don't says

  • People really need to stop property speculating in this country.

    • There aren't a lot of other investment options other than property. ASX isn't worth the discussion. What are we supposed to do ?

Invest in productive assets rather than housing. We can't export houses. Even when foreign investors try to buy here we complain bitterly about it.

We have collectively bid up the price of housing so far that I have friends who basically only return home to eat and sleep. The rest of the time they're at work to afford basic shelter. Weekends are spent maintaining the shelter. What kind of life is that?

        • Agree with that conpletely, mate.

The restrictions on foreign investment in real estate is so ineffective that the Chinese use our law as a joke book.

        • What kind of life is that?

          Serf?

          Just as planned…

      • BURN IT ALL DOWN

        • lol

A lot of people think that you cannot lose money investing in real estate. That is what American's thought before the global financial crisis.

Hi rep I have placed many inquiries and sure enough a broker calls after two weeks and then they completely deny knowledge of the deal that was advertised.

Are you merely using these low interest rates to get contact details ? Why don't you just tell us which bank is willing to offer these rates? Even if we have to go through you to get those rates.

If you can't then does that mean you are lying ?

      Hi rambokid,

We only received this deal last week so I am not sure when you applied for this deal. Can you PM me your email address and I can verify your enquiry in our system and the assigned broker? Apologies in advance if you experienced this on a different deal as we ban brokers immediately if they do not respond within 24 hours,

The platform is used by brokers to advertise deals they have negotiated with a particular lender. They will disclose the lender behind the deal once they speak to you over the phone and they are required to disclose the lender by law. Please do let me know if the broker does not call you within 24 hours as it is a mandatory requirement for them to join HashChing. HashChing is not a broker and we allow verified mortgage brokers to join the platform and advertise negotiated deals.

Send me a PM if you do not receive a call/email from broker within 24 hours and I will personally follow it up for you.

      • On no single instance have I received a phone call within 24 hours. Not one!

But let me wait for this one and I will definitely Pm you

        • Hi rambokid,

As I mentioned, please PM your email address and this should not have happened in the first place. Without me knowing the details, I am unable to help further. We keep track of each interaction our partner brokers have with consumers for compliance purpose. If you are not getting the service promised by us, please advise so that we can take appropriate action.

          Thanks.

  • Is there a withdrawal fee on the investor loan?

Seems like a good deal. Currently with BankWest on 4.89

    • Since there is an ongoing annual package fee of $299, there is no withdrawal fee. It comes with 100% offset account too :)
