  • Yours is AA the other post is AAA so should be fine

  • +1

Tropical on sale too, if those colours float your boat.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ENELOOP-AA-Tropical-8-Pack-/25177…

    • The chocolates have a slightly higher capacity. The Tropicals are pretty though :)

      • The tropicals are also still in stock!

  • +7

    Thanks OP!
The Family Pack is now at $30.10 (C&C)!

    • got one! cheers ST and OP

    • Thanks ST and OP - bargain price for the family pack!

    • Thanks OP & ST
      Got the family pack
      Cheers

  • Encouraging kids to eat them?

  • +1

Good deal, went to stock up however no stores within 300km of me have stock.

  • If my local DS still has SANYO version in stock is it worth getting, or is the shelf life too old to even bother?

    • Sanyo is the Japanese made version - some claim that the older Jap made ones are actually superior

      • OLD Sanyo's are the MIJs. New stock Sanyos are Made in China

    • or is the shelf life too old to even bother?

That's largely irrelevant. They haven't had been through any charge/discharge cycles so their discharge rate and retention should be fine. When you get them they might be a little depleted due to sitting around for so long but that's not a big deal as you should charge them to full capacity anyway, as they'll never be 100% charged out of the box.

The real killer for NiMH batteries is heat, which is unlikely to have taken its toll on them if they've been on a shelf in a DSE store for a year or two.

some claim that the older Jap made ones are actually superior

      They are superior.

  • I actually have enough ATM 😀

    • +5

That's impossible. You can never have enough

      • +1

Thanks for letting us know, I was only just wondering if you were ok for Eneloops.

  • +16

Sweet, matches the colour of the new toy I bought my wife.
    NSFW: http://goo.gl/YQWQfC

    • +17

That's very inappropriate for here. Reported.

    • I'm supprised by the size of this toy 7 1/2"L x 3 1/2"W x 6 1/2"H. :)

  • +1

Would've been more logical to get the other OP to update his deal since these two deals are similar ie. Eneloops from Dicksmith using the same code.

  • Arrgh all made in China. Only the Rouge Tones is made in Japan and its $39.98 !

    • tat's because it can last for centuries… :P

  • +1

    7.50 on postage? That's a bit steep.

    • +1

It's pretty reasonable considering it's cheaper than what Australia Post charges to deliver a package under 500g domestically.

      • Only because Australia post keeps increasing the prices. It used to be $6.6 for a long time…

        • Australia is an enormous place. The price is fair.

        • +1

          @tendollar:
Aus post do a better job than the current DS couriers. Startrack was it? Such a pain having to find things which werent delivered first go…

        • +1

          @ATangk:

Australia Post do an excellent job for people that live in the cities. I understand that it might be difficult to deliver to regional places sometimes, but the hate directed to them is unwarranted.

        • I don't mind the price increase as long as it actually goes to improving the system. I sell some things on eBay as a hobby and about 5% of the items I send are "lost" by Australia Post. This isn't just unscrupulous buyers trying to defraud me either - the online tracking system literally loses the parcel.

        • @ATangk: StarTrack has been assimilated by AusPostBorg. Now everyone can get "sorry we missed you" in various colours and flavours.

  • nothing with a charger? :/

    • the family pack comes with the charger

  • Thanks OP got one. I was just waiting on a deal for some AA eneloops for last couple of weeks, my daughter will be able to play with all of her toys together again

    • Flip Over Sparky!

  • can anyone please advise a good value charger for this that can at least charge 4 at a time or more if possible

    thanks

    • +3

I use this IKEA charger and it works fine, charges 4 at a time. $15 if you're a member (free sign up).

      • +2

Ikea charger is good value. It's also a 'smart' charger that uses trickle feed when battery is full, so avoid damage from over-charging. There is no LCD screen but meh…

        • Thanks guys, I will get the Ikea one was planning to go there next week so hopefully I can grab one then.

    • +3

Consider grabbing this if you need a charger and batteries. http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/eneloop-Family-Battery-Pack-/261885…

      • Thanks for that, I was only after a charger so I think the above Ikea one suits perfectly to my needs

        regards

      • Great, am getting one. It's about $30 after the discount.

  • you are never ok for eneloops, bought a family pack + 8AA Tropical, thanks OP

  • Meh….
$39 for 8pk of AA and AAA. The AA pack is cheap, though.

    This is normal.

  • 8 x AA
    8 x AAA

    for $35.70

    is that good?

  • Too late, they changed it to In-store pickup only (for the AA batteries).

    • not for AAA - maybe they just ran out of stock of AA at the delivery distribution centre (although I'm surprised DSE actually knows how much stock they have! :) )

  • Everything is out of stock at the two local stores near me. :(

  • +1

    Not the best deal

  • +2

this looked better $14.98 for 8

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/197128

    • I was going to mention that deal too. This current deal is still too expensive.

    • You are right this deal is not that great.

However the family pack for $25.70 Pickup + Cashback 2.5% is a steal

  • made in japan?

    • not unless you get the black Eneloop Pro's which don't seem to be discounted very often now.

    • No.

If you can still find stock of the Rouge 24 packs at a DSE near you, then get them, as they are Sanyo-era, made in Japan Eneloops. Unfortunately they are $40 right now, when DSE was clearing them out last month they were going for ~$22 (I managed to grab three packs and can confirm they are all made in Japan).

      • +1

Luckily I managed to buy those glitter 8pack ones for $10 before it was discontinued.

  • They have this weird thing where it says its cant deliver to a PO BOX, then I chose a street address, then it allows C&C!

    just odd.

    • Had the same thing happen to me

  • I brought Amazon basic they are made in Japan the black wrapped ones.

  • I kind of forgot why i like these deals anymore, but woohoo eneloops!

    • Something, something, ENELOOP WOO.

  • +1

Bought two family packs and two AAA packs for $98, the guy at the counter said it would have been $270 if someone walked in and bought it!

    • And? Nobody pays full RRP.

  • +1

How are you guys click and collecting immediately, all the stores say "ready on Monday" around me.

    • +1

I placed my order at about 7am+ and got an email indicating "ready on Monday".

Got an sms at about 11.30am that it is ready for collection!

I suppose it depends on the store you have selected. Mine's pretty efficient!

      • Bondi Junction?

    • +1

I literally just walked into my local store, took one off the shelf and went to the counter. I explained I had already ordered it off eBay, so they just double checked my details and I was good to go.

      • Such gusto, I should have tried that.

  • None left but Tropicals are available for $20.20. Are they any different besides the colour? Can they be recharged with any Ni-MH charger? I have an Energizer Ni-MH charger 1.4V - 360mA

  • Did not see click and collect for family pack. Is it delivered only now? Don't wanna pay postage

    • Look like the mobile site doesn't show C&C lol

great find guys. got 2 x family pack $51.41 + 2.5% cashback pickup.

  • Ordered chocolate and tropical but got white/plain. Hopefully it has some specs and same price?

  • Just in case anyone is still looking for some of these, the AAA's are back in stock and are now selling for $20.20.

Less 30% off code (CDICKSMITH30) and it comes to $14.14 if you C&C
