This is the best of it's type. Stainless steel and has THREE different needles for all types of marinade and any size cut of meat (there is a small needle for small meat portions). Comes in a nice box with a storage tray unlike the others that are just blister packed.

Marinade Injectors are used to make any meat you cook juicier and more flavoursome by putting marinade INSIDE the meat not just on the surface. They're great for roasts and BBQs. They are very popular in the US but fairly new here. You can find a detailed description at the deal link on Amazon.

I am attempting to start a new small business selling high quality heavy duty stainless steel Marinade Injectors on Amazon.com. The Ultimate Marinade Injector is my second product and is brand new on Amazon in the last 24 hours. Having good reviews is vital for survival on Amazon and I need some initial reviews before I have any chance of even getting my first sale of this product.

So I am offering the product at a big discount in return for a review on Amazon.com. It doesn't need to be War And Peace but it needs to be half a dozen sentences and say what you like about the product (just saying 'awesome' or 'great product' risks getting the review removed by Amazon). By the way Amazon allows reviews in return for discounted products. It's a sanctioned practice and every new product starts this way, nothing dodgy here!

If you would like a 60% off stainless steel best-money-can-buy marinade injector (also with some marinade recipes and instructions in an eBook sent via email), and will help me out with a review then PM me for a unique coupon code for the discount to use at Amazon.com. Only PM if you are sincerely committing to provide a review please.

I have stock here in Australia so it will be shipped to you locally by Oz Post and you will get in in a few days.

I only have 15 units for this deal.

Cheers

Aren't you supposed to list the coupon code… Not pm me for a coupon code.
Item shows as $29.95 + delivery when you click on the link.

    • Hi Ezza, they are unique codes not a single coupon, I also need an email address to send the free eBook, plus I am confirming with each OZB'er they saw the part about leaving a review on Amazon and are happy to do this in exchange for the great discount. I have done this here once before and it worked well. Cheers

Review solicitations are against the Amazon rules. Amazon are not happy about you doing that.

Review solicitations that ask for only positive reviews or that offer compensation are prohibited.

Thanks for your concern but I have been selling on Amazon for a while and I know the rules. You haven't quoted all the regs on this subject and the info is there (maybe you don't have the same access as somebody with a professional seller account). If you break Amazon terms of service they close your account no questions asked and I would never risk that.

Mate reviews are done AFTER receiving and using the item not before you got it backwards mate it just shows you have little faith in the product.

    • +1

Errr, yes I know. Use the product, review it. That's how this deal works.

      • Except that you ask for a positive review. That's not ethical.

        • Give an honest review

        • Really? Please show everybody where I do that.

        • @skysurfer: "say what you like about the product"

I read that as being "write a positive review" but concede that you might have meant "write whatever you want". I'm revoking my neg.

  • +3

I would have jumped at this but the way the OP is going about it seems a little dodge and obviously against the rules :( no dice

Have you heard of the Amazon Vine Program? It's a review for discount program run by Amazon itself. You give the reviewer a free product in return for a review. Outside of the Amazon Vine group there are dozens of review groups filled with reviewers who do reviews for discounted products. It's all sanctioned by Amazon and it's necessary to get started with a new product. Anyway no more justification from me after this. I just want to help people who help me as happened last time i had a bunch of happy Ozbargainers get a great product and they left me some great reviews.
      Cheers

      • You're not part of those groups and this isn't sanctioned by amazon so your argument is invalid

  • +5

OP has been an Ozbargain member for 6 years, and ran a similar offer in the past with nil negative feedback, so maybe we shouldn't be so cynical. I wouldn't use this personally as I don't really cook, but good luck all the same with your business.

    • All for small business but this is 4 times the price that was previously posted, as other commenters have said similar can be had cheaper elsewhere, so where's the incentive to return the favour of a discount for a review?

      • +1

        Thanks for a sensible question! No it's not as good a deal as the first one. That cost me a lot of money and I can't do it again. An incentive however is still there;
The normal cost is about $60 shipped, so it's offered here at over 50% off. That's a good incentive to some (I have a bunch of grateful acceptances) but not for everyone as is expected.
Bye the way this product has an extra needle the other one doesn't, it makes the injector more versatile because it can be used on smaller cuts of meat as well as larger.
        Cheers

EDIT: fogot to address the 'cheaper elsewhere'
You have to compare the whole packege, some differences are:
        1. Three needles not two (or one in some cases)
        2. Gift boxed.
        3. Storage tray
        4. Spare set of gaskets
        5. A professionally produced eBook with marinade recipes and use and care instructions.
6 4 Year Warranty - try claiming from an online listing in China
        7. Money back guarantee- it doesn't even have to be broken, not satisfied you get a refund. Try that with the online listing in China
        8. Delivery in days not weeks
        9. There are others that look the same but the metal is inferior and the construction quality is inferior. I know because I ordered many to find a supplier of a good one. The cheaper the price the higher the probability of this. As per 6 and 7 your risk is eliminated

All of that costs a lot of extra money in supplying it to you. I think that's fair, and the consumer gets more choice.

        Cheers

So OP states that "By the way Amazon allows reviews in return for discounted products. It's a sanctioned practice and every new product starts this way, nothing dodgy here!" and additionally; "If you would like a 60% off stainless steel best-money-can-buy marinade injector".

    Amazon ToS:

Additionally, you may not provide compensation for a review other than a free copy of the product. If you offer a free product, it must be clear that you are soliciting an unbiased review. The free product must be provided in advance; no refunds are permitted after the review is written. Review solicitations that ask for only positive reviews or that offer compensation are prohibited.

You firstly lied about Amazon's policy where items are allowed to be "reviewed in return for a discount (instead of free)", and secondly you only want positive reviews when as you can see in the ToS is not allowed.

Also I can't see soliciting for reviews on OzB as acceptable.

Representatives are strongly discouraged from unsolicited private message communication to users for any reason, especially for commercial advertising which is explicitly forbidden.

And your comment regarding the Amazon Vine Program is laughable.

"Have you heard of the Amazon Vine Program? It's a review for discount program run by Amazon itself. You give the reviewer a free product in return for a review."

You're implying that you simply "give" a product to a consumer and suddenly they're in the Vine Program. Amazon invites reviewers from their website to the program, sellers have no say in who is invited. The program is definitely not a review for a discount either…

    Amazon Vine ToS:

How can I join the program?

Amazon Vine is an invitation-only program. Vine Voices are selected based on several criteria, but primarily on the helpfulness of their reviews as judged by all other customers and by their demonstrated interest in the types of products that are featured in the program. Customers who consistently write helpful reviews and develop a reputation for expertise in specific product categories are most likely to be invited into the program.

Thanks for injecting some sanity into this thread.

    • Also I can't see soliciting for reviews on OzB as acceptable.

That is incorrect. The messages are solicited as its up to the member to contact the rep. This deal doesn't violate OzBargain guidelines and has been posted before.

If you feel Amazon's TOS are being broken, then please contact them.

  • I am attempting to start a new small business selling high quality heavy duty stainless steel Marinade Injectors on Amazon.com. The Ultimate Marinade Injector is my second product and is brand new on Amazon in the last 24 hours.

Then whats this one with reviews since April? Same thing with just one less needle

  • Just leaving a comment so I can neg the deal.

As per kaneissiks comments, you've broken so many of Amazons ToS.

I'm surprised the admins have not deleted this deal or at least put their 2 cents in on whether it is acceptable or not.

    • I'm surprised the admins have not deleted this deal or at least put their 2 cents in on whether it is acceptable or not.

This deal doesn't violate any of OzBargain's deal posting guidelines. If you believe Amazon's TOS have been broken, then I suggest you report this to them directly.

  • I bought one last time it was offered (was cheaper than now). Actually just looked, this new one has three sized needles, the other has two.
Gotta say it is really good and will last a lifetime.

OP is asking for a review for a discount, I don't care if its Amazons rules or not and I havent read them, I just wanted the item cheap. If you don't like the item say in the review but I bet you wont , it will be positive.

OP, $29 is getting up there in price, I know cheaper than normal but it should maybe be cheaper.

  • +2

Plus there's only 15 units lol.

    unlike the others

Because criticising the competitor's product is how every ethical salesman behaves.

Cheaper on ebay, cheaper on aliexpress, violation of ozbargain rules, violation of amazon rules. No deal.

    • -1

Note also that an equivalent product can be bought from AliExpress for as little as AU$2.50 delivered.

      • +1

Not even close. Plastic injector would be lucky to last half a dozen cooks before busting the seals

      • Of all the misinformation and ignorance in this thread that deserves a prize LOL.

        • -1

So you diss the other guy's product, downvote anyone who questions your practices, and call folks ignorant?

Thanks for confirming that I was 100% correct in my initial assessment! LOL!

        • @douglasb:

So you diss the other guy's product

Differentiating a product using "unlike the others" is hardly dissing the other guy's product.

downvote anyone who questions your practices

          Nope, that was me.

          and call folks ignorant

Not exactly a great way to build a customer base but appropriate when a $2.50, shipped from China plastic injector is referred to as an equivalent product.

Thanks for confirming that I was 100% correct in my initial assessment!

You just jumped to conclusions and got it wrong. Don't worry, it happens a fair bit. Just try and get your facts straight before throwing out accusations.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not pushing the product. I don't think this price is a bargain and the RRP of $50 is just a made up number used to offer discounts from.

  • I'm Vietnamese. And this is Ozbargain.

I will just use my 95 cent folk to make holes when I marinate pork, and then just leave it for 12 to 24 hrs before roasting it.
