Do you stock any of the official replacement bands? My wife wants some in different colours but I can only find knockoffs which aren't as good quality as the original Xiaomi ones :(

    • +2

sorry we don't currently stock replacement band, but good suggestion, we'll look into it. cheers

    • +6

I did some research on reddit and elsewhere and have found bangood the only ones stocking the genuine bands. Bought a blue one for mum and it was definitely original and well made unlike the tpu knockoffs. Link:

Got Blue and Yellow to replace broken black original (as these are apparently the only official Xiaomi replacement colours). Can confirm that they are Genuine and good quality. They do show dirt from wear - wish we could buy genuine black bands!

      • I also bought a replacement one through Banggood….shame you can't get a genuine black band

    • I bought some off eBay and I am still on my first one. The ones off eBay seemed more durable than the original!

  • got a deal on the genuine USB Fans?

  • +4

There's been rumours of a Mi Band 1S for a few months with a built in heart monitor. No actual ETA though so it might not come out for a while.

    • +5

I wish they'd put on a small screen for a clock instead.

      • +3

It would reduce battery life though.

        • Digital watches run for years on a small cell battery. Including a watch would reduce battery life, but would it be significant?

  • I bought two earlier for my parents. They really like it and are definitely motivated to get active. The app is quite good now and the battery and functionality is great for the price. Highly recommended.

    • +3

Cheers, they're good at what they are. especially at this price, you can't get anything better than Mi Band IMO.

    $29.84
    http://www.banggood.com/Original-Xiaomi-Miband-Bluetooth-Sma…

The difference in price vs wait time and local product support actually makes this a deal to me… for once.

    • +3

Thanks for the comparison, local fast shipping and warranty is always important, especially it's 11cents in price difference, not even covering our GST portion T_T

    • +3

I paid $29.95 for mine from Mushtato back in May. So this is a good price.

You can usually get it for ~$US15 on specials through Banggood or TinyDeal, which makes it roughly $21. However, you'd have to wait and hope it arrived - I'm still waiting for my BlitzWolf from Banggood which was shipped on 12/09/2015 :(

Not to mention that if anything goes wrong - you'd be stuffed. I started having issues with my MiBand after 5 months of flawless operations, and Mushtato really looked after me. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Few extra bucks (or cents in this case) = well worth it!

      • +1

Thanks for your great support to local business :)

    • Banggood is now $21.90. Mushtato back to $34.95.

  • +2

These bands are awesome, and a seriously awesome price.

If you have a Xiaomi phone you can even use it to unlock your phone without having to put a passcode in (when in range, obviously).

Bought mine for about $26 from banggood, took around 3 weeks, would've happily handed over $30 to mushtato though if it was available at the time :)

    • +4

I can do that with my LG G3 as well. Android 5.0 and smartlock mean you can do this with just about any bluetooth device as well as trusted locations.

My band is about 10 months old and still ticking along. I reckon I've only charged it 7 or 8 times since I bought it. The only thing that has happened is the loop on the bracelet has broken off but it still works fine.

      • That loop breaking also happened to me. Got a replacement band off eBay and it has lasted way longer than the original.

        • Same story here, original band loop broke after 2 months or so and bought a replacement band off ebay and its still going strong, although since its not black like the original its gained dirt.

      • +1

Talking about loop mine just broke today :)

    • +1

I can do the same with the one plus one and with a moto g. A Xiaomi phone is not required.

      • Awesome. The manual said Xiaomi phone only, obviously just a ploy :P

  • +1

I own one and use it with my Xiaomi Mi4..Awesome convenient band.. I paid 14USD for it…

  • Any combo deal with 10,000mah power bank?

    http://www.mushtato.com.au/genuine-xiaomi-10000mah-portable-…

    • we'll put up the popular 10,000mAh power bank soon.
Please follow up on facebook :)

bought these overseas for every member of the family and a couple for my friends and these little things are great!

didn't buy it from Mushtato but have purchased it stuff through them before (i think it was the Xiaomi power banks) and delivery was great, genuine products and when i stuffed up my order, i emailed them and was quickly assisted.

    in summary.
great product, very competitive pricing, topped off with fast delivery and professional service makes me a happy ozbargainer. will buy from them again.

  • @OP, I thought you mentioned that there will be a standalone deal for the Xiaomi Piston 3. Is that still going ahead?

    • +1

Certainly, Please follow up on facebook :)

      • I've been waiting for this deal for a while now

      • +1

I am waiting for good deal on the piston too

  • +1

Great price considering local stock. I paid $28 recently but had to wait three weeks.

I've used mine for a week now and love it! Silent alarm is awesome for my fiancé.

  • +1

Is this thing so useful as everybody is saying? I don't think I need it, but I started thinking if I should haha

    • +2

The best thing about it is that it lasts a long time without charging and can store data for about 3 days internally if you don't want to sync continuously. It's fun to set goals and don't forget it has vibration and led to notify you during calls and alarms.

      • +1

Yeah, the best function and I maybe the only useful option for me would be the alarm. But I will think about it… maybe wait for the price to drop a bit. Thanks for replying

        • agree….must be less than $20….shame on our dollar value

        • +1

It's unlikely to be much lower than this price any time soon.

    • The bad news is it's not very accurate at best for some functions and other functions are perhaps best charitably described as hopeful eg. sleep monitoring.

But if poring over not very accurate measurements regarding your health and fitness is your thing people seem to like it.

  • +3

FYI to new owners; my Mi Band popped out of its band one night out on the drink. Lost forever now.

    • +1

Happened to me too, but I found it again once the dance floor cleared.

      • Mine popped out during a soccer game I presume somewhere in the field/grass because and it didn't seem worth checking as I only noticed afterwards at the pub. Good that it was cheap and it worked well for months but would have been better if it was harder to loose.

Rep, how about a deal on the 16000mAH powerbank and piston 3s? ;)

    And the LED light :D

    • Second that! :)

  • +1

I lost mine last Sunday ;-( I got it in December and it hadnt left my wrist . Battery life is awesome ~60 days.

It encouraged me to do minimum 10k steps each day…i felt pretty guilty when i didnt.

Just bought another from here..thanks for the deal Mushtato!

    • +1

The plastic band is really poor. I also dropped mine before

  • Can you still offer $19.00 + $29.95 if bundled with the Xiaomi Piston III?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/208480

    • No

      • Are you associated to Mushtato?

        • -3

I know you are but what am I?

    • You can get it for 21.90 instead of 19.90

  • They're black only right? Kinda want one but I would pay extra for green.

    • You can get replacement bands (genuine) in different colours here:

      http://www.banggood.com/Original-Colorful-Xiaomi-Miband-Brac…

      • +1

Note on that link how only Blue and Yellow have "designed by xiaomi" on the inside the band. That is because those are the only colours actually manufactured by Xiaomi - others are just generic replacements (same as black).

I'm not saying not to get other colours, but according to reports that I've read, they are not the same quality as originals (yellow and blue replacements + black that it originally shipped with).
I'm happy to be corrected on this as I own yellow+blue but would really love to get replacement black (if I can find genuine one).

  • Had a charge hr, but went back to the zip as it wasn't as accurate. I do a lot of walking at work pushing stuff so no hand movement and the charge wasn't picking up all the steps, are the mibands the same?

    • +1

None of them are fully accurate… which is why I think these are useless.

Anyhow they serve as a motivational thing

    • You can wear it in your pocket.

  • What app does 1 need for this?

    • It is available on the Play Store/App store called Mi Fit. It can be linked to Google Fit if you want.

  • is this the same product as this one from GB?

    • +1

      Yep b

      • +1

Ok well I ordered it from GB on 15/09 and it was shipped on 21/09. still waiting on delivery but it is as i expected. I would have ordered from Mushtato for $6-7 bucks more if the option was there

        • +1

Mine took three weeks from ordering from GB.

  • Is this waterproof enough for regular swimming?

    • +2

      Only breaststroke

    • Maybe. It's rated as IP67.

    • It's rated IP67, but won't recommend wearing regularly in swimming.

    • +1

I have swum in the ocean and pools with mine, never had an issue. I also shower with it daily.

  • +1

The best part of this band is the hacked version of the app which makes the band vibrate for any app notifications you specify.

Very handy for work when you want to be silently notified for messages etc.

The fitness tracking functions of the band are secondary for me.

    • +2

There is a better notification app that extends notifications if you are interested:

      https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.zdenekhorak…

      • that's brilliant - thanks!

      • +2

There is also a new FREE official version (1.6.352-1555) that hasn't made it into the Play Store (1.6.122-1549) yet, that supports notifications from up to 3 apps. It's available from Mi App Store. If you are like me, and can't speak Chinese, just click on Download button ;) App is in English.

Just be warned: this version removes Google Fit integration (but adds some other features) and it will update your band firmware to the latest 10.0.10.14 (which changes vibration protocol). What it means is that old MiFit apps (like Play Store one) will not be able to vibrate the band, but third party apps (like Mi Band Tools) linked in previous post, already support new firmware.

      • How's that one better? Very curious. And it costs$2

  • There was news the mi band does not full work with IOS? seems like having issue with sleep monitor or heart rate counter?

    Has this been fixed yet?

    • Works fine on my iOS device.

    • IOS is supported, and xiaomi has enough updates to fix bugs and upgrade features. Some major function isn't supported under IOS like unlock device due to service banned from Apple.

  • +1

I bought one from the last deal. It had a great battery life, then I charged it a few times. Now the battery life is less than 2 days. It's pretty useless for sleep monitoring because I need to charge it every night

  • Have got one for AU$13 from the last Allbuy deal. Works great and only need to charge it once in a couple of months. Have been waiting for a good deal to buy one for brother as a gift. After buying the first one at $13 spending anything above $20 feels like a ripoff.

But if you want to avoid the 1 month waiting I guess this is the best price in the market for local stock.

    • Thanks, we'll doing our best with currently AUD rate :)

  • does notification works for IOS? vibrate with an incoming call? ta

    • Yes, vibration and notification support in IOS

    • Just for phone calls unless you Jailbreak.

  • If you cant take it in the shower then its not IP67.

    • Who says it can't go in the shower? I've worn mine in the shower daily for months now.

  • This is Way better the Fitbit…cheape but almost same functionality!

    • +1

      no challenges tho

  • When paying with Paypal the amount charged is $27.23 AUD :-D. Or does paypal charge any fees after purchase?

Edit - I must be high. GST charged later :-0

  • +1

Ok, I am lazy so I do use as:

    1) an alarm clock that does not wake everybody up (you can set up 3 alarms with some recurring functionality). It just vibrates and that is enough to wake me up.
    2) to unlock the phone automatically
    3) to get some notifications when I receive messages or calls

    It counts steps too…

I got mine from Mushtato, no problems with it whatsoever.

    • I love how this thing wakes me up with vibrations. No more being jerked awake by some loud music.

  • Thanks Mushy mush just bought 1 :)

    • Thanks mate

  • According to my Mi band stats its saying charged 97 days ago….Now that's impressive

    • I am impressed with its battery life… very indeed

  • I am going on a trip to India soon and was thinking of buying 4 bands for friends. Checked Xiaomi's India website and its only Rs 999 each (roughly $20)…

    • -1

      So??

you know the Australia post can easily charge you over 10 dollars to get this delivered?

      • +1

So…! I will buy from India, when I reach India, instead of buying (the bands) here and taking over to India.
