I threw/dropped 2TB unit on the floor a few months ago in great annoyance thinking it was stuffed. The bugger is still working after kissing the floor. Turned out to be an issue with my Windows USB drivers. Other devices still worked in USB slots just not the Canvio so found a utility that managed to 'reset' driver conflict.

I'm wondering if it has SATA or some welded on proprietary connectors, and if it's < 9.5mm thick - as in "will it work in a PS4?"
I'd love to know the internals as well to bust it open for a laptop drive.

@daanish: Oh just your link to Imgur, when I clicked on the next post, it was showing that funny clip on that Indian giant. Thanks for your CDM screenshot, yours appear to have slightly faster sequential read speed while 4k random speed is similar.

If you want to use it exclusively on the Mac then format it in HFS+
Or if you want to use across platforms then format it in exfat
You can also keep the partition NTFS and use the included drivers on the hdd to allow osx to write to that file format.

Good Price, But I got the Canvio Slim II version of this which uses an aluminium case and its thinner for $69.30 AUD during the Dicksmith Ebay Sale.
I keep telling myself that I wont buy anything from Dicksmith but every time they have the discounts its irresistible. I buy it and a couple of days after I immediately regret spending time shopping.
It has happened to me on 4 occasions that Dicksmith has cancelled my order because they say "it's out of stock".
In the recent DickSmith sale, I bought a Seagate 1TB and selected click and collect from Chatswood (NSW) store. It showed available then. A few days after when the order was meant to be confirmed, they cancelled it, probably because it was cheaper than their cost price or at least weren't making enough profit from it.
I bought one of these during ebay sales from Futu Online, it was delivered from Shopping express and the usb cable comes off the HDD all the time. Not sure I'm the only one with this problem. stopped using it.

Not as good a price for the 2tb Toshiba canvio basics as the $88.66 deal from Dick Smith a few months back. These usually sell for around $100 when on sale. Still a good price delivered.

Good question - going by daanish's answer to my question above, if they used the '200 model 2TB drive I'd have concerns as it's apparently 10mm. Does half a mm count when installing a PS4 drive?
