If you dislike carrying loyalty cards, get the app called Stocard to manage it for you digitally. Works quite well if you have a smart phone.

If you have a recent Samsung phone, consider the Beep n Go app instead. It uses the proximity sensor to beam the code to laser-based barcode scanners as well. Stocard and all the others only work with CCD/CMOS scanners as they just display it on the screen.

      • the proximity sensor can beam things? can you explain plz

        • it's probably the IR blaster

        • @uraha: nope, it's the proximity sensor. The proximity sensor has two components, an IR LED and photodiode. If the photodiode detects reflected IR, that means something is in front of it.

Newer Samsung phones allows Beep n Go to control the IR LED to flash the right code sequence that laser-based barcode scanners expect.
It allows for greater compatibility as all their phones have proximity sensors but not IR blasters (e.g. Note 5).

It's also likely easier to implement as IR blasters are designed to work with a certain carrier frequency range (~38-60kHz) whereas the proximity sensor is like a clean slate. It'll also eliminate confusion - users just have to point the screen towards the reader - laser-based readers will pick up the IR LED, CCD/CMOS readers will pick up the barcode image.

      • Perfect fot the recent s6 edge deal I was lucky enough to get my hands on! Cheers!

    Free store click & collect.
Use CashRewards etc for around 5% cash back.

I used PricePal for 10.8% with "Buddy Bonus" cashback. It recorded ok, just a wait for the cash back.

Bought a $18 wicking top for summer Davant Men's Short Sleeve Hiking Top - Blue Wave.
    Regular Price: $79.98 (yeah sure!)
    Was: $30.00
    Now: $20.00
    Summit Club: $18.00
Less $1.94 expected Cashback = $16 (store pick up)

You forget to convert some WISH eGift card credit to Kathmandu gift card for paying.

      • +2

Damn;-) I will hang my head in shame :-(

It's not a saving if unused credit sits in gift cards (& expires). My second Kathmandu purchase in years totalling just over $20. (I avoid Kathmandu as is overpriced & often poor quality).

Cash rewards sites may not pay out if paying by store gift cards. (According to some discussions, I've never tried it.)
