$2 "Hub" Brand 16GB Micro Drive USB 3.0 @ Woolworths

2490

Cheap usb micro drive. Got tempted while waiting for my click and collect nighthawk router. They've got about 19 on the shelf at Double Bay NSW. Not sure if store specific Mod: Appears to be Australia wide, stock levels vary.

Cheaper than the $8 listed previously..

Sorry still dont get it, is it a micro usb or hub? must be the reason why they're selling for this price cuz I dont know what I'm buying

  • Cleaned out Newtown, they're getting more in and said they were happy to order me a few boxes. None at Moonah, Glenorchy or Claremont.

To confirm, they do indeed have hub brand usb hubs. And fans, keyboards, mouses, headphones etc.

    • +1

      $2 USB2 HUB Hub too.

      • +1

Didn't see those, only usb3 ones.

        • Saw both at a few stores in Brisbane today.

$2 USB2 Hub is described as a CARD READER.

          $2 Hub has 3 USB out, 3 memory card slots (SD/MMC, MS/MS-PRO + MS-DUO, Micro-SD + MS-M2) & USB extension lead.

          USB3 hub was around $24.

Picked up 5 at Cooporoo Brisbane, staff had not yet put up the discount flag. Spotted another Ozbargainer there too. Was nice to meet you Bruce.

    • +3

Here's looking at you kid ;-)
Good meeting you too - I recognised your username, now there's a face to go with it.

Coorparoo out of stock after 3 of us cleaned out the few they had. Seems Coorparoo only had stock because there was no price tag & other stock covered box.

Took 4 Woolies before I found stock. Carindale, Mt View Mt Gravatt, & Camp Hill had price tag but no stock over an hour ago.

Picked up a $2 USB2 HUB Hub too.
Coorparoo also had Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit $5 $1 earphones & $5 USB fan (some report noisy, but I find it very quiet).

    • I wish I saw this post. I got there about 30 minutes after you guys.

  • Great bargain!
    5 left in Woolworths Mortdale.
    ATTO benchmark: 27/55MBs write/read.

    • +2

This drive uses controller Innostor IS917. "Mass production tool" is Innostor_917_MP_Package_V103_05_1406101 from http://www.usbdev.ru/files/innostor/ (config password: IS0024). Among other things it is useful when drive gets corrupted and low-level scan and format is necessary.

      • If only it had a Phison for BadUSB / psychson

    • I love it. Announce that you left some, get out your video camera, and watch the ozbargainers rush in

  • +1

Don't need more flash drive, don't need more flash drives, don't need more flash drives

    • YES. You do need more flash drives :)

    • what nonsense. Do you have a pile beside your pc, and a pile at work, and a pocket full just in case you run into somebody who wants to share something? I don't understand the concept of not needing more flash drives. I never have enough flash drives or torches.

That's nothing. tonyhsu bought 72 & posted the proof!

    • Why do ppl gotta bring race into this? I saw this Indian guy get 35 but I couldn't care less - good for him. At another store, saw this Aussie bloke nab like 15 - I hope he enjoys them. Sheesh!

      • -1

        Sorry didn't meant to offend.
If I'd see an Aussie bloke or IndianI'd probably would have said the same.

I work with so many nationalities indian, Asian and African,I never see difference in races, we just talk with each other like this, literally all day

        • 'Tis alright mate, thanks for clarifying :)

      • Why apologise? Here we go again with the Politically Correct (PC) police telling others how to behave, what to say or type.

I am from a biracial background and have no issue with others referring to me by my nationality and surely many Australians feel the same too.

The person who left the comment did not use a derogatory term so why the fuss? Why did you only criticise them on being racist surely a good PC bigot would have played the sexist card as well? (by currymuncher referring to the customer as a woman)

Spy you really need to get a life and let others be.

If the "African woman" who shopped at this particular Woolworths is offended and is a member of this site then curryblender can personally apologise to her.

As for people like you Spy stop making assumptions on how others may feel. Chances are you are totally wrong!

        • +1. A friend once spent 10 minutes trying to describe who she was talking about, when I finally worked it out I asked, why didn't you mention he was an Islander (the only one in the group). PCness is ridiculous.

        • @SlickMick: that's a different context. That is more like the cops describing a sought criminal which is necessary for identification purposes. This African lady being referred to as African is of no significance or consequence to the bargain she scored.

        • @Mr Rort, Get off you high horse mate. I did not call him a racist, only infered to the specific instance where a nationality of a person in context of the bargain is being brought up, which is totally irrelevant. I do take your point though that it may not have necessary been meant in a derogatory manner, but the method itself is derogatory in my humble opinion.

Furthermore, you also seem to legitimise general/public derogation of a race or a nationality by "hiding behind the veil". By your analogy, Pauline Hanson may call this one Asian takeaway customer a chink in a public forum and refuse to serve him, and she will owe no apology to the Chinese people other than the individual she was being derogatory of???

        • @spy:
Why your rant on race though? He also specified that it was a women, so surely he's a bigot as well as a racist??

I find it really offensive that you are so quick to defend African's, but not women.
…That's not true, I don't, but if I was quick to fire up like you are, it would be a legit complaint, no??

  • +1

21 on the shelf at Carlingford Woolies.

  • +1

Broden got to my store first.
I got a raincheck for 5, but doubt they'll ever be back in stock.

I got the last pair of headphones, they scanned at $7 so I got a refund for the difference

    • Highly unlikely it will be in stock. I went to pick up an eBay order tonight and the store checked their computer and they had no more on order. Most likely end of line.

      • +1

They should be able to see stock levels in their Distribution Centre. But it's clearance stock.

    • We need a photo of Broden so all Oz Bargainers can send flyers to all stores telling them not to serve or reserve anything for Broden.

  • none at bonnyrigg

  • +1

Picked up 10 from Woolworths Cardiff. Saw some other Ozbargainer there but he left before I could say g'day and without picking any up because as others said the price on the shelf wasn't updated yet. Great, cheap presents for Christmas.

  • Went to my local Woolies at Forest Lake, still had heaps when I was there at 8pm. The discount wasn't marked and it was still priced at $18, so I guess that's why it hasn't sold out. I grabbed 3 and it scanned as $2.
