Did you book it or just browsing? It holds the fare for you for 15 minutes then it gets released back into the system if not booked. Because I have it reserved for that price just a few mins ago it expired because I changed my mind.

        • just browsing and searched after you said the cheap price is not available - searched, and it was.
i have 11 minutes to go.

        • i didn't reserve the first time, so that'd be why it went up when i went back, there was probably only one or two available at that price then they hike it up.

        • @auspunkrocker:
          try now, mine expired.

    • It should be available again in a few minutes if PVA does not book it.

      • released now, i didnt buy

    Now at $737

Still not bad value for a 10 night cruise at $73.70 per night.

Expired at the cheap price - didn't think it would last long.

      Great job posting it though.
I had that price up on the screen but decided to let it go.

  • can I ask what twin share means without looking too ignorant ? i get it's probably twin beds but what about share is it like the lower level of the titanic ?

    • +2

It means the price with two people sharing the room :)

Quad share would be the price per person for four people sharing the room.

    • +1

Just means two people per room as BL5965 said, but just for further clarification, it's not necessarily twin beds, it's often a couple sharing one double/queen/king bed, or it could be a bed and a sofa bed or twin beds for people who aren't a couple - all that matters is that there are two paying passengers in the room, because as the Cruise Line are charging per person, you can't have one person in the room for that price, you need to have two paying passengers per room (but you book them together). Otherwise you pay more for a single person fare.
You won't be in with strangers.

      • you used to be able to opt to share with strangers of the same sex 25 years ago for a cheaper price .when I went on schoolies cruise one of my friends booked last minute and was in a cabin with strangers but she spent most of her cabin time in our cabin.they probably stopped it due to safety concerns. One of the girls she shared with was weirder than us.
For single people it can often be cheaper to book a twin and then have your imaginary friend "not turn up" than pay for a single cabin.

You know shits going bad when your imaginary friend doesn't show up.

  • anyone still following along / interested, it is currently available for $399pp.

  • Anyone know what the $800 credit bonuses per room account to??

Presume, the $399 as it is now, Inc all meals, any other extras we should budget for when buying a cruise??

    • +1

Usually the credits are for the higher grade rooms. You can spend a lot extra on cruises - bingo gambling tours drinking etc. some activities cost extra as well . If you don't want to spend much you can practically get away with only the tips. There are free activities and entertainment. Not sure about activities at the ports I'd just google free things to do in wherever. I alway tip the room attendant and the waiters if you eat at the restaurant. The waiters are amazing one of the remembered my children's names from 2 years before on a different ship- I don't even remember their names.
