    Kodak ESP5 MFP - $59 + $19pp.

The big problem with all MFP's is the cost of the consumables. It can be really difficult to work out the TCO.

To be fair, this does seem to be a good price.

    • one word: ebay.

I would never buy a printer unless I had checked in advance that i get get cartridges for less than $2 each off of ebay.

      • cartridges for less than $2.00 sounds great how about cartrdiges for x9575 lexmark

        • just did a search for you, no luck :-)

As an example, my printer uses LC57 ink

          http://cgi.ebay.com.au/20Comp-Brother-LC57-LC-57-Ink-MFC-660…

Here is someone selling 20 cartridges for 41.30 delivered. (close enough to $2 :-p)

Hence to check the ebay availability of ink BEFORE buying the printer :-) I reckon it would be cheaper for you to do this research, then buy a new printer, than continuing to buy ink for your lexmark.

      • single cartridge - if one colour is down you must replace the whole cart, regardless of the levels of other colours. [X] no deal!
