        • They cancelled my order.. Were u able to pick ur camera?

        • @s26f84: Camera yes, sd card no

      • Your D3300 won't be at it's best with this card. Shop around for a Sandisk Extreme Pro to get the best out of it.

        • There was class 10 sandisk extremes as part of this "sale". They would have been fine.

        • @Duff5000:

The SDHC Class ratings have now been pretty much overtaken, class 10 means 10MB/s, not very fast.

The UHS Class gives a better indication of speed for current generation cards. Eg U3 = 30MB/s

          http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1996/~/differe…

The Sandisk Extreme Pro at 95MB/s will give great results on the D3300, especially if you use continuous shooting.

          http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1996/~/differe…

        • @uzz30:

The cam only shoots 5fps. I doubt you would be running into much trouble with an extreme. The regular extreme card is what 80mb/s? Point taken about the ratings i was just posting the description line they used to advertise the card on the DJ site, i couldn't remember off the top of my head what UHS the card was.

edit: anyway for 80c even if is slowed down after 20 raw photos at 5 fps it is hardly a deal breaker.

        • @Duff5000:

Apologies, I posted a double link by accident.

          I meant to post:

          http://www.cameramemoryspeed.com/nikon-d3300/fastest-sd-card…

Which shows how the camera performs with cards of various speeds. None of the cards tested were 4MB/s, but obviously it would be below the bottom of the scale.

What they don't discuss is how the camera performs in playback / review, with a fast card, this is quick, responsive and satisfying. With a slow card it is slow, unresponsive and frustrating. So even if you aren't shooting lots of frames, card speed makes a big difference.

I have the D3300 and can highly recommend using the Sandisk Extreme Pro. You can use a slower card and spend less money and the camera will work okay, but you will notice the difference if you buy a fast card.

none available in victoria (anymore)…thanks to people buying 10 - 20 (for fun)… but good find. +1

Error:Sorry, an error has occurred while trying to retrieve the inventory status of this product.

  • +2

I just had a phone call from the store I was going to collect it from, confirming the pricing error and that my orders have been cancelled. I paid with PayPal and they are refunding directly to my VISA used for the purchase.

  • +3

Wait so do you have to call them to get a refund? It won't just happen on its own?

  • Called from DJ's. I assume ill get a refund

  • Can't wait for all the rage about the cancelling ><

  • -6

Order is cancelled.. Cant say I am surprised.
Neg deal anyway as it not honored.

    • +1

Is this not a legit reason to neg the deal?

  • Got a call too, refund.

  • Is this a trend or am I mistaken that all click and collect orders are being cancelled. Anyone who chose delivery had their order cancelled yet?

    • "Order in progress" but then they weren't the only item ordered.

  • Ordered mine with a $200 gift card. So far so good, haven't heard anything. I actually put my order in before this deal was posted. And it was a Sandisc Extreme 32gb for 80cents, not the DSE branded one.

    • Do u work for DJ? Insider trading and got it before everyone.

  • -1

got my "order ready to collect" email

    • +1

now I have a voicemail from david jones, wanting to discuss my order

  • +1

ordered for collection from newcastle/kotara (only place that had stock left for collection)

Gonna be a long drive up there from Sydney, but can't turn down a bargain.

    • +1

      Troll post? i hope…

  • +1

Just prepare yourself - all the orders will be cancelled…
I spoke with one of the manager, apparently DSE didn't approve this (it was a pricing error), and DJ cannot process it without DSE's consent.

  • +1

Just got call from the DJ, want to refund… No value of our time for placing orders? lol

  • +1

Hahah how much time did we waste. OzBargain life for ever!

  • Still waiting to hear on my 2 orders. Would check them online but checked out as guest (couldn't be bothered creating account).
Not holding my breath on them being honored in all fairness though.

  • Seems like people are getting refunds.. Can someone plz find me SD cards? Hehe. OP ur owe some.

  • +2

I feel like I have missed out even tho I have no need for this.

Anyway I would have left it for those who genuinely needed them.
Looks like this deals had its fair share of Broden’s.

You can lie to your fellow OzBers and claim they are all for personal use but you can’t lie to yourself. SHAME ON YOU, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!

    • i dont think it is brodens. 1 memory card for 80c with $10 shipping isn't cheap.

You need to buy multiple or it isnt really a deal (unless you can pick up). I bought more than i currently needed but i know i will have some friends that could do with them so i will pass a few along. That is assuming they even ship them.

      • +1

I was going to give the $0.90 1TB hdds as xmas presents.

You get a TB, and YOU get a TB, and YOU GET A TB!!

  • Just a update—- my order has been Dispatched as I have paid 10 dollars delivery fee.

Thanks very much to oz bargain.

    • almost 5 pm and no news from DJs besides the order confirmation email … i did C&C, will update

      • The confirmation email does say it will be ready to collect the following morning

        • it also says that you will receive an email letting you know when it's available for pickup.

did people wait for an email? or just head in store to pick them up?

        • At the time, I thought the email for pickup might be coming the next morning. Since that isn't the case, I'll pop in today and check if the order's ready/cancelled.

        • @jz:

Just an update, mine have arrived.

  • Just picked up 2, thanks OP!

    • which store did you pick?

      • WA has to be the Hay st mall in Perth city

  • Picked up 4 32g class 10.
Wonder why some people are getting cancelled

    • Which store?

  • -6

Naturally David Jones were not going to honour these prices but such pricing errors are becoming far too common with Australian retailers.

It is time the Australian government holds retailers accountable for online pricing errors and require them to either refund an additional 20% of the transaction total or provide customers the opportunity to purchase the item in a reasonable quantity at cost price.

The irony is that some retailers JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks either honour their errors or offer an additional discount to customers affected whilst retailers such as Just Jeans and David Jones don't feel they need to. So much for customer service.

    • -1

Are you kidding? They should pay you for their pricing error?
A glitch is a glitch. It's great advertising if they do honour it, but it would be ridiculous to set some sort of legal precedent like that.

      • So what are you suggesting?

That if your house burnt down due to a faulty washing machine you should not be able to sue the manufacturer? If your employer was careless and you were seriously injured you should receive no compensation?

There is a reason why retailers should face a cost for pricing errors because they are avoidable. Just like speeding or parking you don't get fined if you follow the rules.

Anyone who has received a free item due to a supermarket scanning error will see how quickly a member of staff runs to take the sign down and to correct the error. So giving stuff away for free does have its merit in improving service.

As for David Jones and Just Jeans how long did it take them to fix the error? A glitch is a small period of time not 4+ hours or days in Just Jeans case.

        • That if your house burnt down due to a faulty washing machine you should not be able to sue the manufacturer? If your employer was careless and you were seriously injured you should receive no compensation?

You are comparing chalk with cheese!

    • -1

If that happens, expect there to be no more refunds for change of mind. Also, you accidentally bought size 16 instead of 20? Too bad, no exchange.

      • -1

You are comparing chalk with cheese!

Any smart business would incorporate software safeguards such as identifying suspicious behavior (like irregular increases in gift card purchases (Just Jeans) or HDD / SD cards (David Jones) and would go offline requiring human intervention to resume.

Instead we have major retailers with retail systems that are so stupid (BTW they probably paid millions for them) that they cannot even identify the most common suspicious activity.

Seriously I would not be buying anything from either stores online. If they unable to get their pricing right who knows how they protect your personal information or financial details.

  • +3

got a text message from toll that my delivery has been picked up and on its way

  • My order still shows as processing and I haven't received any calls or messages from anyone.

I didn't buy a crazy amount, just 4 dollars worth and they were the cheap class 4's. Perhaps it depends on what store and how many you got. The store I set for CC is Burwood Westfields NSW, maybe they didn't get hit as hard as other stores and might actually honor the deals.

Either way, thanks for the Share OP!!

    • +1

Same here, no news either and only receive one email says that my order is complete
      Bondi Junction NSW

      • +1

Yup, got the complete email too. Maybe NSW is safe LOL!

  • Just got an email saying my order has been dispatched.

  • Never go with David Jones again. Charged in my bank account. then checked my DJ account and my order was cancelled.

    • That is a little over the top. Give it a day a least for a refund to show up.

      • I dont understand why they cancelled my order while they charged with the confirmation email. And why others picked up the stuffs. I am not talking about refund.

        • Because like most of these brick and mortar retailers, they have no idea how to run online systems and just leave it to a generic system (because they want to seem like they are with the times) that takes money first, auto send confirmation and then let the stores fulfil the orders. So when something goes wrong its pot luck if you get a store that lets an order go through and others who do not. Its not a proper system.

I got mine cancelled and refunded yesterday by phone from the Warringah store in NSW and yet others were able to pick up. Was only $4 order as well.

        • @exile: Call them and a lady said they can't refund to my Paypal account. So I need to go to store to pick up cash refund or just get the DJ credit card. … So ridiculous.
She also mentioned about DJ store around Australia cancelled all orders of customers who ordered that item. It's a lie. Some one on here get their stuck picked up or dispatched.

        • @jerrydangaus: Oh really? I got a call and the lady said she would do it over the phone if I gave her my card number. I decided I wasn't comfortable giving her number over the phone and I was near DJs already so I popped in with my card. Yeah like I said its a tacked on online ordering system, so they can't even give you a refund through Paypal. I guess you could raise a dispute with Paypal directly and let them sort it out, if you're like me ordering some small amount, might be worth doing that than time trying to get the cash in store.

        • +1

@exile: Yeah she also asked me about my bank detail over the phone. I am not giving anyone that personal stuffs over the phone.

        • @exile: If they dont ship my order i'll just do a PP dispute.

I can understand that the regular phone people will not have access to that system but if you put in a pp dispute someone will action it.

        • @Duff5000: if I do a PP dispute about this. Do u think what happens to DJ?
Will they have to redo my order?

        • @jerrydangaus:

Nobody can make Dj process your order. Paypal will just reverse the transaction and give your money back.

  • Just picked up 5 SDHC 10 cards and 6 micro SD cards from one of the DJ store in Sydney at lunch time.

They're the dse brand one though.

    • what a load of bs.
they cancelled my pickup orders said I couldn't come and pick them up.

going to head office about this.
      class action lawsuit anyone?
this is discrimination - some allowed to pickup, others not.
let's burn them at the stake.

      • +2

Hoping you forgot the /s at the end

    • Can you scan a photo of the receipt or pickup email ?
The lady in the DJ store I ordered keep saying they cancelled all the orders of the customers ( I know she is telling lie)

  • I ordered a $200 gift card with a 80 cent SD card
Today I got confirmation that item was shipped
However, when looking at the shipping email - it only lists the $200 gift card, they sneakily deleted the SD card out of the order
Oh well, at least they are shipping the $200 gift card for free

    • Did you actually want a $200 dj gift card?

      • +6

No, I plan on throwing it straight in the bin.

  • +2
  • Guys PP dispute last resort…

  • +2

I haven't had a call or email either to say it has shipped or it has been cancelled. Others in the same boat?

    • +1

      Yep me too

    • Yuppy!

      • +1

        me too

  • +1

Still no call or email confirming what's happening with my orders.

I placed one order at Paramatta click and collect and the other at market St click and collect in Sydney.

  • +2

Do not see any cheap deals on gumtree.. No one sharing SDHC love..

  • Looked at my DJ order online and it has been Cancelled. I didn't get an email notifying me of the cancellation which I find highly irritating. That was for C&C at Macquarie (NSW) (2 x SD)… I had another order checkout as Guest and haven't heard anything back, but I paid for delivery… but still nothing.. No refund has been given to my Paypal… yet… will have to keep checking…

    • +3

Cancelling is fair enough, expected that really. No contact though is pretty poor form, not hard to copy and paste an email for each order you cancel.

    • Well.. received call on Saturday about my order for delivery… it was cancelled… I was expecting it… Was worth a shot! Thanks OP… :)

  • +1

Crap, same here. Just checked they canceled without any notification. Let's see what happens in terms of refund.

    • but I checked out with guest and receiving no contact nor email until now
      don't know what's going on

      • +1

Yea that's messed up, I think they will either place a refund for paypal, or maybe just open a Paypal dispute? I think I'll give it like a week, if nothing comes back, open a Paypal dispute.

        • +1

I paid by credit card. I presume they have cancelled it as I don't receive any confirmation for pick up.

        • +1

          @chonghe:

Ahhh that's concerning, if you still have the order number, maybe just give them a call and have it sorted out, I hear that's what quite a few people have done here.

        • @Zylam Marex:
Called Bondi Junction NSW but they couldn't see my order at all, and they could only advised me to call HQ (1800 numbers) to sort it out.
I guessed HQ has cancelled my order
Call 1800 numbers and waited for 20 mins with no one response :(

        • +1

          @chonghe:

Same with Chatswood Chase store - Just emailed enquiry via website.

        • +1

          @chonghe:

Wow that's crazy, these guys don't seem to be aware they even have an online store. Glad it's only a few dollars, if it does get lost in the system. I think this is where paypal excels, you can just Lodge a complaint and they take care of the rest. Might take a few days but they usually come through. Hope you manage to get your money back!

        • @saffers:

Ahhh let us know how you go!

        • +1

I wonder if everyone puts in a paypal dispute, it would cause a red flag with paypal and make them block payments and send DJ a please explain.

        • +1

          @exile:

I am close to doing that.. As soon as they say they cancelled my order I will be doing this..

        • +1

          @Zylam Marex:

Finally chatted with the HQ and they said "stock not available" so I got refunded.

        • @exile:

Yea I can imagine paypal won't be happy at all with DJ specially with the way they seem to be handing the refund for some people. I'm guessing they'd send some kind of a formal warning advising DJ that if they continued like this, they'd get red flagged. Let's see what happens, really strange to see DJ not concerned at all.

        • @chonghe:

Ahh that's good to hear man! There is hope for us all than!

        • @chonghe: What was the process? Did you have to provide your CC details over the phone? I'm in the same boat as you as I paid by credit card.

        • @mikey31:

Yes, they asked for me cc detail over the phone and they refunded to me immediately.

  • I had to visit my click and collect store as heard nothing since Monday morning. Was told system error and will be refund. We tried to call you blah blah.. Er. No you did not!
