Was noted in this deal but thought it was worth highlighting as a separate deal as there are several pre-paid mobiles that are 20% off including:

  • Huawei Y5 $103.20 (was $129)
  • Lumia 640 $143.20 (wa $179)
  • Samsung Core Prime $135.20 (was $169)

Harvey Norman appear to sell the headphones for $129 but can be had for $US50 from Amazon

Telstra pre-paid phones cost $80 to unlock in the first 6 months, $25 after 6 months and free after 2 years

  • Mine arrived today, headphones and phone at same time. It's worth buying just for the headphones, they have to be worth $50 new at least.

  • received my buzz as well and the headphones - confirmed pricepal $10 cashback came through as well for this transaction

  • Just to emphasise what I posted here about CashRewards yesterday - although $10 shows in your account, that does not mean it will be paid out. It just indicates your purchase at Telstra has been tracked. If Telstra pays CashRewards, you get paid. It will take a while before we know for certain. Here's hoping :-)

  • My order is cutting it thin…no sign of the phone yet, been a good day and half…

    • Did you receive the 2nd email from Telstra ?

      • Nopes

        • Jump online to the 24/7 chat and ask, or give them a call.

        • @CoolMJ:

Call centre is clueless…online chat has transferred me back and forth between the same 2 departments (online orders and prepaid) twice so far…

        • @twister292:

I just reported this in the other deal

          2 weeks time frame

        • @CoolMJ:

I have received the second email now…tracking says package was at the Prestons CLOC at 4PM THU.

If it gets delivered friday, all good, otherwise it will have to be sent back to warehouse.

          @twister292:

Mine left Preston's yesterday, arrived regional Queensland this morning. So they seem pretty fast.

  • Considering this deal goes up to 25 Dec, I doubt the headphones would be sold out fast. Got for $63 yesterday, missed on $10 since i bought it before having an CR account but that got me to create one so all g.

  • This phone is pretty much identical to the optus fit. The back, power and volume buttons are nicer. The camera is still the same pos one. :( overall nice phone for around $50. The Alcatel pixi 4.5 from optus is probably a bit better if you want as main phone.

  • got my package today (ordered on wed) including headphones. welcome letter states "TPREPAID 4GX BUZZ BLK + MONSTER DNA GWP TSO"

my cashrewards didn't seem to track though… wondering if it's because I didn't make a telstra online shop account and purchased as a guest?

My CR tracked and I checked out as guest too. I use Microsoft Edge to make all my CashRewards purchases as it doesn't have any add ons or extensions. I used to use chrome but the success rate was only 60%. It's worked 100% of the time with the dedicated browser

      • my CR ebay purchases usually track well on chrome even with adblock.. so yeah i didn't think it would have a problem this time.. i guess i was wrong. thanks for the confirmation

  • Just received mine. Includes headphones.

Now I can travel in peace. Good job with the delivery, although at the last mike, star track being themselves carded the delivery to ny local LPO

  • If you're selling the phone or headphones, don't sell them too cheap otherwise you lose out, atleast $50 for phone and atleast $80 for headphones.

    • JB are now selling the white version of the headphones for $99.

    • Don't bother buying this purely to resell, not worth it since they will be a lot of people trying to resell which equals under-priced items

  • These headphones are decently built buy the sound…bass cannon is the mildest term i can think of.

But heck, 63 for the both, I'm not complaining!

Any comment on the headphones? Any good?

    • +2

pretty decent for this kind of money. I still prefer the balanced soundstage of my Sennheiser 229 and Sony XBA2, but these will work well as my laptop headphones.

I compared these to the Logitech UE4000 which I have as well…for $60, yes they're good.

        Thanks twister292.
And glad they arrived in time for you :-)

  • Does anyone else find the Telstra buzz screen to have a blue tinge to it?

    • I installed Bluelight Filter App for more pleasant screen reading.
      Could otherwise turn down brightness.

  • Anyone have issues with the buttons on their headphones? I'm using mine with LG g2 and the middle button works to pause/start music but volume buttons don't do anything :(

    • Yeah those buttons don't work for android. Only Apple iPhones. Due to configuration of wires.

      • Ah, thanks :( I might just pass these to someone with an iPhone then… Weird that they would pair the headphones with telstra buzz which won't work

        • Just pull out your phone to control the volume? Haha

        • @cwongtech:
Ahaha it's not the same! Although easier with g2 since buttons are on the back of the phone…

        • @CodeXD: ooo. Do these headphones come with a case?

        • @Cronut:
          It comes in a pouch

        • @CodeXD: thanks mate!

        • I think there is way/app to fix this problem but I cant really remember how. may you try google it.
