Hey guys just to clarify, you will be eligible for $100 Cashback from Philips, as Good Guys will provide you with a Normal Tax Invoice. As I have boight the same unit from Target eBay and received my $100 successfully.

Also I purchased a LG G2 on Good Guys eBay two years ago and received a Tax Invoice to claim a Cashback from LG.

It says in the Philips cashback page:
"Purchases from third party internet sales sites, like eBay, are excluded"

    • good catch.

    • +2

You will get an invoice from Good Guys so the cash back shouldn't be an issue.

      • That's right.

  • +1

Did anyone get their cash back from the last promotion?

    • Yes I did. I bought it from Target ebay

      • was a cheque sent? or some other form of payment?

        • Yes it was a cheque

  • +1

So I'm confused… Can you or can't you get the $100 cash back for this purchase? Title says $122 which would be including cashback but the info suggests otherwise?

Is the invoice from the Good Guys sufficient to make a valid claim even though it was through ebay?

    • +1

Yes you will. I can confirm, I bought this same unit from target eBay and received the cashback.

  • So should the price be $222.40 then?

  • +1

Technically you can purchase this iron from a seller on Ebay, and cashback would not apply.

However, in this instance, I suspect you will receive an invoice from TGG and you should be able to use that invoice to process a cashback claim. I doubt there will be anything on the TGG invoice to indicate that this is an ebay purchase.

The question is, have anyone tested this?

Also interested to know this. Philips cashback promo for irons have been going on and off for years, surely someone must have tried to claim an ebay purchase for cashback before.

      • Yeah, I too would like to know if people had success with this.

        • +1

You will get the tax invoice from good guys to apply for the cashback

      • +1

There will be no problem, as I bought the same unit from target eBay and I received a tax invoice and My cashback claim went through with no problem

        • Did you do Click & Collect, or did you have it delivered?

        • @ladyofchurchill: delivered my friend, but does it make any difference ?

        • @OzSikhs: I thought perhaps it could - as the delivery on the TGG invoice says "eBay delivery"

        • +1

@ladyofchurchill: it doesn't matter, it should be all fine, as long as the invoice is generated by TGG

  • Someone has edited your OP saying t&c exclude ebay purchases. But its not very clear if Ebay Goodguys stores etc is subjected to the same exception. Can you provide receipt for last year's purchase?

    • Buddy I don't have a tine for that. I'm here to share a good deals to my fellow Ozbargainer not to mis-guide them. I received a normal Tax Invoice and received the Cashback too.

    • Ring Good Guys and confirm it with them, if you want.

I forgot to change my name and address when I placed the order (it was directed to my office name and address, which i have no ID proof). Luckily Good Guys let me pickup the item as the surname is at least matching.

Im guessing Phillips wouldnt care if its not my official name/address when i fill the form. As long as it matches the invoice. Fingers crossed

Also, i just bought and confirm nothing in tax invoice indicates its ebay purchase. And Ive rung Good Guys and they said there should be no drama claiming cashback buying from ebay as long as u use the TGG invoice

    • May be just cancel this order and reorder it avoid any future hassle in claiming Cashback

  • Any Choice subscribers care to tell the rest of us plebs how this model ranked in the comparison? https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/laundry-and-cleani…

  • Is this any good?

I have another iron like this but rather than just steam i get lots of water and steam.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.. got one
also got an invoice directly from TGG

    • Did you get a hard copy invoice attached to the item or one emailed to you? I got emailed an invoice from PayPal when I bought it and just took delivery of the iron it had no hard copy invoice from The Good Guys attached

      • +1

you should have received an invoice from this email: [email protected]
with subject "Docket Invoice from The Good Guys"

  • Thanks OP, bought one too. Hoping this unit doesn't drip water and is just pure steam in vertical ironing.

    • +2

It doesn't. We have one from few months. It's perfectly fine. Don't forget it's a premium iron mafe by Philips

  • Does this need any anti scale cartridges?

    • +1

      not at all

  • can anyone confirm if Philips cashback claim has been processed ?

    • Hey mate, yes my claim was processed successfully. There is definitely a barcode on the box, as I cut myself from there and posted with my claim form and proof of purchase. In-fact there were 3 different barcodes on the box, but I wasn't sure which one they required, so I cut all of them and sent it to them. Hope it helps.

      • hey, how long did it take for you ?

  • Has anyone got their cashback yet?

  • i havent recieved my cashback yet either :(

    • when did you submit ?

      • submitted it on the 30th of November.
        have you received your cashback?

        • no. just looking at the terms and cashback is given for GC8642/21
          http://www.philips.com.au/e/promo/promotions/household-produ…

        • @spk:

FYI, i finally got my cashback on friday :)

        • @PreSsieGuY: good to know that /20 or /21 wasn't a problem.
Did you receive any e-mail or received amount in your bank account ?

        • @spk:
