So it's not 10,000 LED watches, but just one? Bummer

  • +20

I wouldn't buy anything from this store just yet. As far as I know their past deals (some many weeks old) are all still "processing".

    • -2

How much is the risk. $1.28 . wouldn't you take that risk ?

      • +11

        Common sense says no.

        • -5

          then you are some T****E.

        • +9

          @ozyboy:
Think about it, it's $10,000 free money for this retailer if they don't intend to send out the watch.

        • +3

@sheepy: That is a very good point and with all the deals coming thick and fast and in succession from this crew who knows if it's a get rich quick schemefor someone.

        • +2

          @jollster101:

I am waiting to receive 3 different shipments from their past deals. I have hit my limit..

      • Never sign in to PayPal to make your purchase using these websites (use the credit card option with fake email address instead). Otherwise your PayPal will be spammed like hell from the Chinese spammers this seller will send your email to.

        • How does your PayPal get spammed? Do you mean the PayPal associated email?

        • +1

          @KaptnKaos:
Yes, Your PayPal email address. It's a hot commodity in China because the it's verified and the owner is confirmed as a 'spender'.

        • +13

I'd rather them spamming my email than taking my credit card details

        • @wizzlesticks:

Profile -> Add or edit email -> Add

Then you just use the secondary email to sign into your account. Problem solved.

        • @pufffdragon:
Makes no difference. The credit card is still processed on the PayPal website (you just don't sign in to PayPal).

        • +1

@wizzlesticks: I bought something from alliexpress a couple months back. Pretty bad experience. They don't use PayPal. Not only did I get flooded with spam, someone also tried to spend $2000 with my credit card not long after I gave them my details.

        • @pufffdragon:
Yep. Could happen with either PayPal or Alipay. They're just a big as each other. At least when not using your PayPal address your inbox stays safe from spam and PayPal phishing attempts.

Has anyone received anything from this shop, zapals at all?

      • Nope. Still waiting for my iPhone case.

        • +1

My iPhone screen protectors have been dispatched.

        • +1

          @sween64:
So that means you have not received them yet right?

        • @Roary:
Not yet, but I'm hopeful they'll arrive.

      • +2

I received the free iPhone covers they gave out last time.. 2 of them in fact. And the latest free screen protector has been dispatched as of earlier today

      • +3

2 days ago my Screen detector was dispatched. Interestingly, I opted in for Australia Post thinking it was Australian stock. Next minute they're using Malaysia post.

    • thanks for pointing it out, i boycott all together companies with freebies i don't recieve and buy those whose freebies i liked.

so few freebies lately though ..

  • Bought one for $1.28AUD (Shipping only)

  • Same cheers

That's a lot of LEDs in a single watch!

    • +1

I think you've read it wrong. I understand it's 10,000 watches for $1. Christmas presents sorted for the next few centuries.

      • I was being facetious… but yes, that's a lot of Christmases sorted :)

        • Christmas 2016… they won't arrive this year. Be lucky to see anything by feb.

      • That's only 0.01 cents each!

  • +1

Thanks. Need a time telling device I can glance at. Wrist seems like a pretty decent place for one - +1

  • +3

I pitty those that receive these as Xmas gifts.

    • Because they have OzB's in their family?

    • Hahahah once when I first discovered OZB years ago I went a bit crazy, I bought some crap Chinese roller blades for a laugh and gave them to my little brother for xmas. He was pretty unimpressed. Never again :P

  • I got 2. Please tell me they do shipped the items!

  • This is misleading. I wanted to buy 10,000 LED digital watches for $1. I have a limit of $25 for a Kris Kringle - wanted to buy 250,000 LED digital watches for a mate.

  • +1

    i'll take a million units!

After I ordered the free iPhone 6 screen protector from these guys (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/221307) I started receiving telemarketing calls from iPrimus (I've never had an iPrimus account or anything to do with M2). Did that happened to anyone else or was it just a strange coincidence?

    • +2

Not sure if related or like you said coincidence but I have also received calls from non associated Fairfax Media and Tasman Resort(?) recently after ordering stuff from them.

      • +1

Hmmmm how interesting, thanks for the info. I'm already on the Do Not Call Register (https://www.donotcall.gov.au/) so I reported the number anyway and blocked it on my phone. So annoying.

        • +1

Ohh there's such thing? I'll have a look, thanks for sharing!

    • +3

Holy crap, I've never had much of a problem with telemarketers until this week, where I've had a different one pretty much every day this week. What can we do about it? I'm on the DNC register already and I take it that it's too late to unsubscribe because they've sold off our details already

      • +1

Have you also ordered from Zapals? Even if you haven't definitely lodge a complaint through DNCR online with the number and date and time of the call you received. They will chase it up for you and reply by email. If the place that's calling you receives enough complaints they will be formally investigated and possibly fined.

        • +1

Yep, ordered the screen protector, light, and SD card. Notice how the last couple of deals have been posted by new users as well? Seems it was just a cheap way to get thousands of numbers.

edit: just looked at their privacy policy and according to them:

Except as specified in this Privacy Policy, Zapals DOES NOT sell, rent, distribute or lease your personal information to any third party unless we receive your consent or are required by law to do so. We may use personal information that we collect about you for following purposes:

I wonder what the rep has to say about it.

      • +4

Skip those deals. Nothing is free. You will pay with your data, privacy and time. And you ave to give them a real address as they ship things to you so it cannot be fake.

Is your privacy and data really only worth a dollar?

    • +2

Im actually too getting calls from marketers this week since almost zero in years…tonight got a call from Foxtel! Suss…

      • +1

Wow, yeah a bit suss. I ordered the Screen Protector early in the morning and 12 hours later I started receiving calls. Like I suggested to Chickenleg, report the number that called you to the DNCR.

      • +2

way too much of a coincidence then

    • +2

started a forum topic/poll as im a little curious now. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/223686

also i cant figure out how to tag these other people dammit lol

      • Great idea, thanks. I hope more people can share their experiences with these "coincidences".

    • hey, WE WILL NOT SELL ANY PERSONAL DETAILS TO ANY OTHER PARTY!! DON'T SAY ANYTHING WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE MATE. PLEASE MAKE ANY COMPLAINT YOU LIKE TO ANY OFFICIALS OR PARTIES. LET THEM TO MAKE JUDGEMENT.

      • Hi Zapals,

Thank you for clarifying your position.

I am only asking for feedback from other people based on my own personal experience after ordering something from you. There is nothing wrong with asking a question - this is a forum after all.

I have already made a complaint to the Do Not Call Register and encourage everyone else to do the same. Thank you.

        • +1

I just wanted to clarify our position. we have been doing honest business in Australia for more than 20 years. We know how serious customer privacy should be.

  • Thanks

Thank you for your order from Zapals. Once your package ships we will send an email with a link to track your order. You can check the status of your order by etc

  • For a second I was wondering how they fit 10,000 LEDs into a watch.

  • +1

NO DEAL - It is cheaper on eBay.

  • +1

mmmm, maybe when my free iphone case and tempered glass screen protector arrive I will consider throwing $1 to this site

  • Does it have heart rate monitor? GPS, Bluetooth? Is it waterproof?

  • a wrist device that JUST tells the time ? wow what a concept :P

  • Hi Zapals Team,

I'm extremely disappointed with the latest order. You specified payment deducted successfully with my PayPal transaction ID 4GE58686P51731824 but the order is not confirmed.

Can you please look at the issue as soon as possible and rectify my order?

    • Hi Bloozzz, apology for that. I will let my customer service team to follow up for you. It's Saturday, I will ask the department manager to follow for you. She will contact you on Monday for sure.

  • +4

Sounds like a scam? User '1231322132' was created last week, lots of orders not shipped, any comments against Zapals getting negged ??!!

May be safer to pay the same (or less) and buy from ebay??
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Men-Womens-Charismatic-Silicone-R…

Why give away your details for free, for a worthless watch :-)

    • +2
