        I live in the gold coast and I'm here on holidays. That's going to make it difficult for me.

        Do I have any right to be pissed off or is this how c&c usually works? I eBay messaged DSE and was told I'd get a reply in business hours. Which is pretty useless in this circumstance and poor customer service.

        Opinions?

    What the hell Dick Smith?

    I ordered the Polar watch yesterday morning, nice and early (8:30am). Selected pick up from the Neutral Bay store.

    Ebay said order should be ready for pickup in 5 hours. Wait for email.

    This morning, no email so I went in-store to enquire. They found my order and went ahead to go check to see if they have it in-store.

    Nope, no stock here, no stock in other Dick Smith stores.

    SO WHAT, NOW YOU CANT RELY ON EBAY PURCHASES?

    This is really shitty of you Dick Smith, out of stock at the eBay purchase point - i'm ok with (you snooze, you lose), but telling me there is no stock after i've secured a purchase online? thats just ridiculous!

    Let's hope they don't mess up the refund.

    So bad Dick Smith, so bad!

      A similar thing happened to me when I purchased a usb3 hub. I went into the store (2 days after I was told there was no stock) and saw that they had 20 units.

      The store wouldn't sell the hub to me for the sale price because the special was a 'one day special'. I sent an email to support who told to make the purchase online and then refunded me the difference. May be you can do the same if they get more stock.

    so I'm curious, I got it about 20 minutes after it was posted on ozbargain from their website, had to get delivered because click and collect showed no stores with any stock in Victoria ( not any in my area anyway) - curious to know, does their website have their own stock levels? or do they just take them from dick smith stores? I was really keen on this watch and will be so sad if they say they can't find any and issue a refund

      I am in the same boat. I would have thought that there would be warehouse stock. If they only take stock from physical stores then why would some products be available online only and have no click and collect option. Maybe I am just being optimistic.

        That is what I thought, I use to work in retail and whenever there was an online store - they would have their own stock but they could also get stock from other stores if they wanted to - which was annoying, and these retail stores were popular ones too.

        if dick smith did it the other way where they took stock from stores then to be honest that's a stupid business model, I guess we will find out tomorrow.

    They're in a glass cabinet to the right of the entrance after the Samsung area near where the fit bits are displayed.

    no updates for my C&C, so I went to Sydney Central to ask as my phone calls weren't returned and the rep said they have no stock and showed me that a lot of orders are still pending. He got no ETA for the new stock as well.

    They clearly overselling stuff. Dick.

      Yes - they phoned me on Saturday and said they had taken too many orders. They said they would refund me but I have not received any info about that.

    There are supposed to be some in Epping and Craigieburn (Vic), and I managed to pick up the last from the CBD. Really sucks that they oversold their click and collect sales and refunded; the physical shops should have used their stock to honour the original order.

        got it working. Make sure you keep it in an open area without movement until you get gps signal.

        Dunno why mine didn't work as left it outside for long long time.

        Then it worked in morning
