Jetstar have announced 2 new destinations from Avalon and to celebrate are offering $19 fares to Hobart or Adelaide.
Travel Dates are:
Avalon -Hobart: 3 May - 21 June 2016
Avalon - Adelaide: 4 May - 22 June 2016.
Plenty of tickets are available at the moment.
Avalon Airport is about 50 minutes from Melbourne their is a shuttle bus which costs $22 one way.

Returning @ $19:
WED and FRI flights
$19 each way not enough compensation for spending the weekend in Adelaide.
Hopefully people will actually use these flights. If not, they will be gone again!

Interesting wording as I have traveled to both of these destination on Jetstar from Avalon in the past
Haven't flow there for quite a few years. Never remember AVV-HBA at all though.
Not in the recent passed you haven't, like the last 3 years.
Its pretty much just be flights to Sydney these days.
Used to have Virgin flights to Perth and heaps of over destinations, but that was all canned years ago.
The outer long term car park is just a full of long grass and weeds these days.
Good to see Jetstar are trying, especially as so many visitors to Tassie come from SW Vic.
I normal sale fare is $49, so i wouldn't be getting to excited over $19 for the very selected days.
The long term parking at Avalon isn't cheap either, and your vehicle is a bit of a sitting duck compared to the offerings of Andrews, Jetport, Busy Pussy, and alike in Tulla.
Parking at Avalon is $79 for 7 days so its comparable to Melbourne, really depends on how long you are away it reaches $170 for 22+ Plus.
3 Days parking is $70 at Avalon
3 Days parking at Busy Beaver is $29
Pls tell me how that is comparable?
