  • Must have been a problem with the Jackson adaptor… no longer listed

  • This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

funny how this happens not too long after it's posted to ozbargain.

    • yeah I think it's more it shouldn't have been there as it wasn't even on normal site so prob sold out :)

Ds should pay or hire ozb, to points out their listing mistakes.

The DS website has the worst specs pages for its products that I have ever seen. Many times I have gone to look at some specs and in the huge (largely irrelevant and filled with "no") product detail lists are many contradicting and/or downright stupid details.

I can't imagine finding a use for the window/door alarms, but couldn't help myself at the price :)

You are a true professional, buying shit you don't need because it's cheap.

      • +1

I'm guessing you need to physically turn them off? So you can't say put them on your front door and leave, as reopening the door would set it off?

Edit: Just read it has a sensor. So that means remote yeah?

Edit 2: Still not sure :S

        • I did google it - not this model in particular - and apparently "good ones" will let you activate it while door is open, and it won't go off when door is first closed. But it will when you get home and open door!

I thought maybe it'd be okay for windows and doors you don't use much. (Turn it off when you're going to use the door/ window.)

So get something with a remote for the front door and use these for rest of house??

  • Fitbit price has gone up to $119 now.
Was thinking about purchasing but not as much of a bargain now!

    TV is $699 …

    • +2

      699*.85

Use the click and collect discount… You know, by reading the ad.

      • If you use maths, then what is 15% off $699?

      • -1

Oh yeah, forgot to read the small print … Jeez.

  • hi guys. is it worth getting the door alarm? We have just bought a house and there is no alarm system in the house. thanks

    • +3

nah wouldn't say it's worth it. unrelated but what's your address?

    • If I broke into a house with one of these, I don't know whether I'd remove the battery or just throw it against the wall to shut it up.

If you use it on your main door and have to endure it going off until you get in and turn it off, I suspect it will be you throwing it!
Hence why it comes with 3 spares.

I found the maths quite simple. It's $4.25 for 4 alarms, plus cash rewards back. That's really cheap, so you buy first, then see if you can find a purpose for them.
I'm thinking I could bundle them as xmas presents with the quicklocks I forgot to give away last year.
