The one time I really wanted to use the code it doesn't work…

    • Same boat as you, the one time I actually needed something..

      • +1

        Its working now!

  • me too been waiting for a few days

  • +4

I also couldn't get it to work from midnight or this morning. Called the Masters customer number and even though he wasn't aware of the promo he processed my order manually with the 10% discount and I can still pickup as I wanted.

  • So if we don't have a docket we don't get 10% off then ?

  • grr that sucks, didn't want to waste time running around the store…

  • Wonder if there are any limits on quantities both with Cashrewards giftcards and Masters 10% off..

I want to buy $9000 worth of flooring, so i can buy 2 lots of $4500 gift cards, then use 10% off the masters order.. but go through cashrewards first for 2% off..

so $9000 of flooring is now $7350 or there abouts..

Come on voucher.. work damn you..

    • Knowing them, they'll class it as a commercial quantity!

      • Yeah.. I reckon they will too, but, gotta try..

        • I told a mate yesterday to grab some vouchers, get the 10% off, and buy some of that 90mm decking merbau for $4!

        • @Snoop: Yeah.. I'll probably be buying some merbau at some point too..

          I'm after 60 packs of flooring @ $150/pack :)

        • @Vladdo:
Stupid question, and the $7350 sounds great if it works, but have you shopped around?
Just asking because we did our floors (vinyl laminate over tiles) last August. Original 'good customer' quote was for mid 50's p/sqm. After a bit of haggling between a couple of local stores and an online shop in QLD (that'll include delivery), we got it down to $41sqm. And we're talking 150sqm!!!
Edit: If needed, I also know a great installer in Melb who'll do it a lot cheaper direct than what it costs to go through a retail shop!
Actually, he can also source the product cheaper sometimes… He did on one of our rentals!

        • @Snoop: @snoop does your guy do timber flooring by any chance?

        • @Snoop: I have a unique problem and was all set to order the masters floorboards. Basically, I have a 5 yr old house, half floorboards, half carpets. We want to ditch the carpets and go all floorboards. However, the original manufacturer of the floorboards has gone bust, and the floorboards are tongue and groove so they don't match anything on the market. I spent a few hours yesterday googling around and found an importer on the other side of melbourne who apparently had identical boards, so spent 3 hours going for a drive, only to be told.. oh.. we don't actually have a sample instock.. They were $69/mtr as opposed to masters $83.50/mtr after all discounts.

So without a sample, I'm not going to commit to a $7000 purchase. Perhaps you can PM me your installer. Maybe he might have some ideas.

        • Just found his number… I'll PM you both now!

      • perhaps buy it in smaller batches then?

      • just buy it in small batches

      • +1

Maybe you should try buying it in small batches!!! ;)

Anyone try to ring the customer support team on 1300 337 707?

    • +4

On the phone to them as I type this.
Management is aware of the online problem and are working to fix it now.
The guy I'm speaking to is taking my C&C order over the phone!

      • Pain in the @$$ though because I'm also wanting to use a couple of gift cards!

  • YAY code is finally working now!!!

    • Still not working for me

      • Now working

    • Not working here either

    • Worked for me, not for all items though.

  • It wouldn't work for me either. Called customer support, they couldn't get it to work either.
After 30 mins on the phone, they gave me an excuse that because the items in my cart were already discounted, that I couldn't use the 10% coupon code with the discounted items, e.g. "not in conjunction with another offer".

    • +1

That's crap, they just couldn't be bothered doing it!!!
Although I've already placed my order, I just tried adding a clearance item to my basket… Still got the 10% off of that!!!

    • Pretty sure for as long as I have used Masters and their 10% off code, you can get the 10% on top of existing sale/offer items.

  • I wonder why the code is not working for some people? I've randomly tried it on several items and works like a charm! Weird…

    • Did you use Chrome? I was only able to get it working under Firefox.

      • I tried many times in Chrome without success.
In MS Edge it worked first time.

      • Using Firefox over here…

  • seems working now.

  • +1

Ok, the code is working now.

So 2% from cashrewards, 7.5% from gift card, 10% from code hardware

    • +2

18.55% (not including store discounted prices) Even more if you've got Scoopon 10% off Wish Cards!!!

  • So finally the code works but the item no longer available for pickup from the store I want…. sigh…

  • just wondering… can you use multiple gift cards in one transaction?

  • I get an error message still when trying to purchase a kitchen benchtop from Richlands store.

Tested with another product (BBQ) and it worked. Is it possible that the promotion on kitchens is conflicting with this deal? (even though https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/229879 says they work together)

    • I posted both adverts..

One is an instore (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/229879) discount and the other is both instore (with paper voucher) and online (Code Hardware).

You need to go in store because I am not sure if the https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/229879 is national or store specific.

Also be careful measuring your own bench top. A lot of benches have wobbly edges down the wall side of the bench because the wall is never perfectly straight.

But Masters North Lakes said you can stack the discounts.

      • Thanks for the reply! I'm on the south side of Brisbane so I'll try my local store, if not I'll make the drive to North Lakes

I'm getting the full lengths and getting a cabinet maker in to do the joins for me rather than getting the whole thing cut to size before I purchase. I'm also tiling a splashback which will hopefully cover any inconsistencies in the wall straightness :)

  • bought a bunch of solar lights from the 20% off offer (ends today) got $10.99 discount in my cart. added "hardware" and now the discount is $11.44. thanks Masters :)

  • Will the Big W gift cards (the ones which were 10% off) from Christmas work?

    • -4

      No

Big W cards can be used in Big W
Masters cards can be used in Masters
Woolworth cards can be used in Woolworths
Wishcards can be used at them all.

      • The back of the Big W card I got during this promotion says it can be used at stores listed on the everydaygiftcards.com.au website… so that would seem to indicate it can be used at Masters.

This post also suggests they are not limited to BIG W only.

        • +1

This post answered the question at the time of the deal.

      • +2

I tried it when I got home and I can confirm that they work.

    • the 1st response above is incorrect. Big W gift cards (ie. the red plastic cards that were 10% off in-store in the week leading up to Christmas) can be used at Masters (& Woolworths etc, just like a Wish card).
As for the BigW eGift vouchers sold by Groupon etc, once you go in store and convert the paper voucher to a Big W plastic gift card, they can be used as above, just like a Wish card.

      • Is there any way to convert the Masters eGift vouchers bought from Groupon into physical plastic cards that can be used at Woolworths?

I hope masters don't close down, without them no one will keep Bunnings in-check!

    • they do provide some good alternative brands like purdy and sherwin williams. Would never go back to using dulux.

    • +1

      +1
Masters forces Bunnings into price wars.

  • Code still working online this morning
