Nope, not everyone can be bothered to follow instructions like: "Buy this deal for $1, port out when month is over , then back in to the Groupon deal.". And other providers like Vaya (i don't ever deal with their customer support so they are fine for me) are cheaper than these guys, anyway.
This just shows that no one plan suits everyone, on Vaya a Standard 2 Minute Call on a Power Plan 18, Power Plan 24 and Power Plan 27 is $2.33 Yes you do get $650.00 included talk but it depends on how you use your phone.
I agree with watwatwat, I'm not really interested in swapping in and swapping out all the time, personally I want a plan with low cost calls and a enough data to check maps and news occasionally so I'm still on Amaysim "As you go" 12c/min talk and text, but data is 7.2c/MB so probably time I switched to one of the "unlimited" plans from Vaya or Amaysim, but preferably without all this hassle! no but you can buy new sim cheap (optus vod tels..etc) as then port forward your old number into it then port forward that number back into amaysim. thats if you wanted your old number

nah it wont i always created new account monthly b4 with same name and address and it worked out fine
used diff email monthly but i do go back to the older emails. Dont think it matters.
I wouldn't port out to Optus, too many stories of ports gone wrong when Amaysim <> Optus ports happen. Best thing would be to port to Vodafone, Telstra or one of their MVNCs.

Then get a second sim (such as this) to use for outgoing calls and data. However, I assume this means whenever I call someone, my 'other' number will display? almost want to leave amaysim because of so many offers for new customers. I've been a customer for years and no love for on-going commitment at all :( too lazy to port out and in again. I can't handle having no phone line potentially for days like last time from amaysim->lyca->amaysim and when I went back to amaysim it caused all sorts of troubles because although my account was cancelled I was still in their system and their automated procedure had a sad because it said I wasn't a new customer.

Yeah I recently ported my amaysim to Lyca and it took atleast 10 days for the transfer with a lot of following up. Amaysim blamed Lyca. Guess I should try Vodafone next time

What's the turn-around? Do you use it on your main number or on a backup number for this sort of thing? I only have one number and it's been my only means of contact for…wow nearly 15 years now when I think about it. If I'm unable to be contacted or contact anyone for even a day or two I find it's really inconvenient.
edit: also what's the deal with rejoining amaysim? Because I did it a couple of years ago and their online system wouldn't accept my number for activation since I had a previous account, so I had to phone in and do it with a very helpful phone operator.

Any fees for porting out your number from this Amaysim 'plan' to another provider? TPG charged me $10 for it because I was on a 'plan' but not 'prepaid'.

OK, so thing happens exactly as last deal (ebay $25 deal) when screen showed code applied but charged full price to my CC. I took a screenshot this time, gonna make a mess with their support tomorrow. Beware guys, always take a screenshot when dealing with amaysim, you will never know when it goes wrong and be left alone with no evidence & money, I learned it the hard way.

I've never had problems redeeming promo's. And no one has reported this problem except ntb

I was charged full amount too. Went on the live chat and the explained that I was charged full price because I used refer a friend and this promo at the same time. I have cancelled the service and they will issue a refund.
why cancel the service, dispute it with the credit card issuer as you only authorized $1 to be deducted. I've done it before with other companies.

They send you the full price amount in the receipt as well. I tried to dispute last time but the bank required evidence and I had none. Your only chance is the screenshot at the confirmation screen before you click pay.

Heads up, the SIM comes auto-activated a month after the purchase date. I got a sudden email notifying me my 2GBSALE promo is now active despite not actually logging into the account to start activation.
