      That's what he said.

  • OP, either the delivery cost has changed, or they vary the delivery charge depending on where they think you live.

For me, in Brisbane, delivery is showing as $9.95 for the $12 player, and $11.95 for the $20 player.

It does say half-price delivery to Sydney, so you should either put "[Sydney]" in the title, or give a price range for the delivery charge.

    • Maybe you could ask the moderator to allow for more alphabets/numbers in the title space.

  • I remember a time when DVD players cost $500+. Now they can be bought for $12.

    • You must be young. My first CD player cost $799 in 1986.

      • how much is that in old money?

LOL. My first laptop cost $5000. I had it a week before my Late Father in-law spilled a cup of coffee on it (no I didn't murder him). Mass production sure does make a difference. Thank you Henry Ford!

        • Don't forget mobile phones, where the cheapest ones have gone from "I'll have to budget for that" to "pocket money", while improving their capabilities 100x.

I remember my first brick with no fondness at all. Huge and heavy.

@Russ: Ha! Mine was a Motorola bag phone for my truck that covered about 25% of my daily run. Ahh the memories.

Well i remember paying $600 for a Palsonic DVD player (RCA analogue video and sound output, HDMI didn't exist) in the year 2001 and the damn thing only lasted a few months until it died. I wasn't happy about that. I was a really early adopter when it comes to digital video discs. Back then movies on DVD were around $40 each and there weren't that many of them. And yet these days a movie on Blu-Ray can be bought for $8. That's what happens with mass production.

  • They also have other Highlander products on sale, such as a tower speaker for $24.97 http://www.oo.com.au/Highlander-60W-Tower-Speaker-w_P203073.… .

  • any body know how well or badly the usb playback is on this?

what sort of screen menu does it produce (4 files per screen or 16?)
