wow cheap. I assume its the smart tv since it says wifi. I got this at HN for about $1200 (less $200 in AMEX statement credits) in August

    • Yes it is definitely a smart tv, and reviews say its navigation is pretty speedy as well

      • TV's do navigation now?

A bit bulky to carry around, I would have thought.

  • Gee good price for a smart tv. Specs can be found here

  • Great price, wonder if any stores would price match !

    • +1

      Wouldn't hold my breath

    • +2

no, as cotco is classfied as a warehouse. jb/HN wont price match. i asked for a sony 65" and they denied

  • +1

This is really cheap. Everywhere else I've seen it's over $1000

  • Great price! I got this for just under $700 recently and am really happy with this TV. The Smart interface is quite snappy and I'm happy with the picture quality.

    • Just wondering where did you get the deal from? :)

      • +1

It was via the good guys ebay store. It was around $720 but with cashrewards cashback came in just under $700.

        • +1

I got it via the same deal as well, only way I could be happier with the TV is if I got it via this one.

Edit: Actually, there is one really annoying feature and thats the accessibility menu, when I press the subtitle button I want it to turn tbe subtitles on or off, nothing else.

I check checked with Auburn Costco and they have it at normal price, they said this must be Ringwood only!!
    That sucks!

    • Aww man..

    • It's a special at ALL COSTCO people!!!

      • +1

I just came to Costco @ Auburn and they Are on special, they just realised this now!!
Only 20 in stock, but last said that all the staff probably want one, so you won't have much luck unless you are here ASAP!!
        2:57pm

        • +6

          Sorry guys, Auburn SOLD OUT.
          Apparently someone bought all 20!?

        • @rlexyd:
Probably the staff as you mentioned

        • @rlexyd:
          That was QUICK!!

        • +2

          @SevenSmurfs:

another stupid dicksmith "employees buys all stock" shit happening at costco now?

        • +3

@tyler.durden: It's annoying but I wouldn't call them stupid. lol

        • @tomleonhart:

          not calling employees stupid

calling the whole shit stupid and waste of ppl's time

like what happened with dicksmith sales

        • +1

          @rlexyd: broden

        • -1

Same dick smith staff now works at costco

        • @rlexyd:

The staff member from the Auburn Costco advised me they do this when Samsung offers COSTCO more money (rebates) to actually sell ALL of a specific TVs as quick as possible.
More than likely Samsung wants to clear out this specific line, because if Costco doesn't sell them they get SENT/RETURNED back to Samsung hence they would prefer to sell them all off!

Also, I heard a manager say (why would anyone want to buy the whole pallet of 20 TVs, staff seemed annoyed they weren't able to get any).

Maybe it wasn't the staff that bought them.

        • @rlexyd: am right here at Auburn the shelf had 7 still in the pallet. Apparently it's a pricing error so refuse to sell it at that price. Also cited OH&S so not willing to bring down the pallet. Oh well, not meant to be.

        • @Tadashi:

          You serious?!?
What the hell? Would sending you a copy of my receipt help?

        • @rlexyd: no. Thanks thou. They cited pricing error. Thanks thou

        • +1

          @Tadashi:

I bet you the $510 Discount/Rebate was Correct, what the problem I think is they where suppose to UP the listing price from $1099 to the RRP OF $1399 and then apply the discount!!!
COSTCO are guilty of doing this ALL the time.
I bet you that's what happened, the marketing department made an error and dos NOT up the standard retail price and they didn't realise that till the evening.

A few weeks ago they had the 55" Sony KDL-W800C around $1450 minus the $200 Rebate, it came down to $1250, NOW the regular price is $1240!

        • @rlexyd: sounds about right.

They said the discount should have been $210 and that they lost $20k today. Very doubtful about their explanation.

Normally I'd argue but I guess they are just doing their jobs.

        • @rlexyd:

it's called costco wholesale for a reason. one pallet is nothing when buying wholesale.

        • @whooah1979: do you mind sending a copy of your receipt? I'm going to try to get it price match. Thanks.

        • @rlexyd: do you mind sending a copy of the receipt? I'll try for a price match. Thanks.

  • Can you price match Costco at another Costco?

    • I don't think so

    • Oh yeah, they should price match with each other until you can get it for free, haha

      • +1

pricematch = sell at same price

not sell under the price, so it can't be for free

      • +4

        2 things:

        • You won't get it for free, you can divide a number indefinitely.
        • price match != price beat

        :P

  • +4

When will CostCo Epping Vic open?
sigh, they postpone it too long

    • you're a power user ? Are you a frustrated mod ? :P

      • -4

If there was only a few why is it so hard to count and say how many left? If the quantity is less than 10 it is not supposed to be posted as a deal. Otherwise if there was only 2-3 it might save someone an unnecessary trip.

  • Anyone know SOH and price at Docklands?

    • About 6 left on the floor at docklands. $589 same as this deal

      • +1

Sold out at docklands, I just missed out

        • thanks - you saved me a trip there..

        • +1

          @Skky:

Maybe he's just saying it's sold out so that people don't turn up. Then he can get a better chance of buying it for himself. :)

        • @first in line: The plot thickens !!

        • @first in line:

Docklands definitely sold out (3 people reported it).

        • +1

          @first in line:
Haha, I wish, I saw 3 of them go out the door as I was getting my membership, and another 2 at the counter. The door lady did not care for my plight, and wouldn't let me in sans membership.

        • @dinna89:

you wouldn't be able to buy it if she let you in without a membership. you need a card at checkout for them to process the transaction.

  • What they should do is $650 INCLUDING 12 months Costco membership!

    • which you can cancel and get full refund.. :)

      • +1

You don't wanna refund it. The tv warranty comes to life time as long as you're with membership.

    • $590 sounds better. And people that shop at Costco wont cancel as they know how good the prices are.

      • It would add to their existing membership ☺

  • +4

Can confirm it's at Moorabbin too. Had 10 in stock. Now 9 :)

  • +2

Anyone able to check North Lakes / QLD?

    • Just called North Lakes, they are out of stock :(

    • +1

I got one from North Lakes for $589.99, but at the checkout I was told that the price is a mistake by their head office and that was the last one they were selling for that price.

  • +6

Just gave Ringwood a ring and they said that cannot guarantee the number of items left but said they estimate 10 or more :)

EDIT: As of 3:20 PM. Ringwood Costco seems to have run out of the TVs on the floor. I saw the last two TVs being bought. Unsure as to whether or not they still have any in the back :(

  • Urgh, hopefully there's one left by the time I head there after work. What a time to not be home

  • +1

    How about Crossroads?

  • Hi, does anyone know how much is 60" led at Costco ?

    • +2

60" J6200 is $1379 at costco. The sign says it has a $520 rebate and Costco regular price is $1899

      • Thanks!!!

    • Those Kiwis get ripped off.

      • +7

Thats what Americans say about us

they could fly here and purchase it and still have left over money for fush and chups

45ms input lag, not for gamers, good response time though at 7.8ms (meaning low motion blur).

    • Game mode might help? Ill look it up now

    • It's average when compared to other recent TVs, not too bad.
      http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-test-results/input-lag?u…

I honestly doubt you'd notice a 20ms difference, unless you're playing something like Guitar Hero maybe.
Even then, I'd like to see some blind testing, because I doubt it.

      • +1

I notice it for sure, I have two TV's at home, one has 50ms input lag, and the other 20ms, I do not totally enjoy playing games on the first TV, it's perfectly playable but you lose precision to the point of casual gamer only level… but ymmv.

    • Just looked it up and it seems that the input lag is tested with game mode on

  • -1

Personally I reckon I would at least get a 4k, full HD will be reduced pretty soon

    • +1

How many channels do you currently get in HD? What content is currently available in 4K (either via TV or via the internet)? Why would you want to spend so much on a feature that is barely usable at the moment?

  • Very cheap what a bargain. Look at just how much they are at TGG, almost $1200.

    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/samsung-48-inches122cm-fhd-led…

RRP according to this is $1399

    http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/tv-audio-video/television…

Looks like it doesn't have 3D function though so if you're looking for 3D this is not it.

Here's an album of most (not all) 50-60 inch TVs from Costco with their prices…

  • Anyone know if JB / GG etc price match costco?

    Edit apparently not!

    • +1

Give them a call and let us know thank you.

  • Docklands sold out

  • Four left at Canberra Costco … Took a while as still had old price at till , all good to go now :)

    • What did you say / do? Price is showing up at $1100.

      • Told them the price was 589.99 as per the ticket , one of them went to get it to confirm (about four of them were around the checkout saying what a good price it was) , ticket was the same as in OP's photo…

However, some dude from the office then scanned in the serial number off the box … Maybe they reprinted the ticket without the sale price?

I asked one of the guys in the "pickup goods here" office to grab me the tv.. Maybe check with them for price?

  • Are Costco doing a clear out of old stock or something?

  • Apparently my mum just got the second last one in ringwood

    • +1

Friday night dinner and movie at your Mum's place tonight! >.<

      • +3

        Netflix and chill..

        • haha love it

  • +1

    Ringwood sold out @ 3.40pm

  • do you think HN will do a pricematch?

    • A slight chance, yes, a very very very slight chance.
