10% off Promo Code at Masters

2260
MASTERS10

I just successfully used the MASTERS10 promo code for 10% off. This code was not active yesterday.

You may also find the THANKYOU10 code works, but this code requires users to be logged in, and it might not work if you have used it before.

Happy hunting!

As posted in another deal, Masters has 5-shelf 800mm storage units for $49 ($2 more than Bunnings, but better shelves?), but if you are lucky to find stock at a nearby store, these 1200mm shelves are 50% wider for $53 after discount.
https://www.masters.com.au/product/101370861/geelong-5-shelf…

Masters also have up to 50% off outdoor furniture at the moment.
Plus this link will give you clearance items from your local stores (based on post code): https://www.masters.com.au/masters/navigation/clearance.jsp

These popular digital deadlocks are on special for $89 ($80.10 after discount).
I insalled these on our front door and garage side door abut 6 months ago.. no more keys or getting locked out!
https://www.masters.com.au/product/101598195/touch-bolt-touc…

NOTE: this does not work on appliances (fridges, ovens etc) but works for pretty much everything else.
See https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/233754#comment-3448440 for how to use instore.

Conditions: (https://www.masters.com.au/help/docketterms)
•Excludes appliances, delivery, installation/assembly, commercial quantities and purchase of WISH gift cards.
•10% discount will be applied to a single transaction only.
•Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Ive been watching an electric lawnmover and the price went up $30 last week, not hard to predict the 10% off was coming

    • Would have thought there would be no more 10% off as WW is dumping Masters…

    • The Ego?

      • You got it!

    • Agreed - The price of Merbau decking increased 2 weeks ago as well

    • +10

The price went up because it was in a catalogue with a $30 saving and that catalogue ended, not because a 10% offer was coming up.

    • How were you allowed to stay in the store after hours?

  • Well what do you know. Good to see another coupon code. Doesn't seem to work on appliances unfortunately.

    • Hi TheOneWhoKnocks, while appliances are not included in this offer Masters currently has Free Delivery within 20km of your nearest store on all Appliances over $500.

  • When does this expire?

    • +2

      Valid till Sunday 21 Feb.

  • +2

Typical. Spent $200 on Saturday. Good deal OP!

  • Does the coupon code work in-store? ie. Can you ask for it to be applied, or apply it yourself at self checkout? (Does Masters have self checkout??)

    • +7

The barcode is 9353001115220. You can use an online barcode generator to print it out, and use it in-store.

      • Or on the self serve you can actually 'ENTER ITEM" and input the barcode number there.

      • +1

Barcodes are not straight forward due to different encoding methods.

      • +5

        Here is the actual docket.

        • +4

Nice one. Here is a generated one. Used the EAN-13 coding for this one.

      • Looks like they finally decided to change the code

I been using the last barcode for the past year

  • +2

Now I have to buy everything I bought over the last week again and go in for exchange …. sigh

    • +1

Whoever said - time is money - is either a fool or not an ozbargainer.

      • Or is employed

        • or is working for the government

  • How do you apply this in the store?

    • See comments 2 above yours.

      • Should put it in the description as well as the appliances restriction.

        • Was just doing that :)

  • Crap, I bought a washing machine from there last week. Would have been really handy!

    • +3

Does not apply to appliances I believe.

    • +2

Hi Mechz, while appliances are not included in this offer Masters currently has Free Delivery within 20km of your nearest store on all Appliances over $500.

  • Pain in adelaide, no self serve check out….anyone know if there's an actual coupon for this for in store use?

    • There are self-serve check-outs in Adelaide

      • +1

I've been to Masters Adelaide maybe 20 times, and I have seen the self service checkouts open exactly once. Even on weekends when the store is reasonably busy.

    • Yes look up a little in the comments. Someone has posted it

    • +3

Ive asked staff to enter the code before. No problem.

  • Can someone please comment if this is a good price for a [4-burner BBQ] (https://www.masters.com.au/product/101730125/red-centre-delu…)

  • -4

    Does THANKYOU10 work with appliances?

  • could you apply further 5% with master trade card? Also, just wondering if the strength of your deadlock or security is only as strong or as weak as your door frame where the dead lock is locking to? any comments are welcome. thanks

    • +2

If you have Woolworth gift card (5% discount), you can use this to buy.

    • +1

      I believe so.
On Saturday I bought a couple of outdoor retractable awnings which were on sale and on clearance (50% off) and I got another 5% off at the checkout using my trade card.

    • No, 10% or trade card, not both.

      • In the past when I scan a 10% Woolies docket then scan a trade card, the discount drops down to 5% (only trade discount recognised).
Of interest Masters had 20% off roofing about 2 weeks ago and I bought some eaves strips, when scanned the 20% discount got applied but when using a trade card, it made no difference. Asked a staff member but they couldn't work it out, they thought the sale discount getting applied was the trade discount. In the end gave up as was a low cost sale.
Bought a ladder on special at Masters around the same time in a different transaction and the extra 5% discount applied to that..

Is there one that works with appliances?

    • Hi proudwanderer, while appliances are not included in this offer Masters currently has Free Delivery within 20km of your nearest store on all Appliances over $500.

      • Will there be another 10% off coupon that does include appliances in the near future?

        • Not that I can confirm at the moment

        • I dont believe any of the many previous 10% off deals have ever included appliances - probably due to the lower profit margin on those types of products.

        • @systmworks: Actually they did. I bought a microwave with 10% off in December.

        • @proudwanderer: Huh, OK I stand corrected :)

      • +1

I don't think you've repeated this comment enough..

        • Not enough for some who don't have the energy to scroll a page :-(

  • Guys, if you have AMEX, don't forget you can combine this offer with the Dan Murphy's AMEX cashback deal:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/232892

Dan Murphy's gift cards are effective Wish gift cards.

    Cheers

    • Does Masters let you use multiple gift cards to pay for 1 item?

      • +1

Yes, no problem at all, both online and in-store.

    • Just to clarify, you mean register the AMEX deals, buy gift cards from DM and then use that gift card to make the masters purchase? If so, can you get the gift cards instantly so you can purchase on masters immediately? Great tip if it works this way!

      • +1

The DM gift cards take anywhere between 2 hours to a day to arrive depends on the status of the back-end system, just like when you purchase a e-Wish gift card through Cash Rewards/Entertainment Book (see comments posted on that thread). DM staff members are very helpful though, so feel free to give them a call to follow up if you don't receive your gift cards by say 12 hours.

        • I just checked the T&C on the AMEX offers and both DM and Woolworths AMEX offers exclude gift cards. Thanks for coming back so quickly :)

DM AMEX connect deal excludes gift card purchases

  • Does anyone know about Pressure Washers here and might be able to comment if one of these could be a good buy?

How do you get this docket? I have been buying from masters most of the days over the last 2 weeks, didnt get anything on the receipt. Is there any lower limit on the spent amount?

    • Maybe it is either targeted or state/region specific?

    • +1

No limit (upper or lower) on pricing that Im aware of.
See 2 comments linked below for copies of barcode you can print and use in store at the self serve checkouts. Saves typing in the code manually.

      • Yeah thanks, got it. Using self checkout is very hard at masters because most of the time there staffed counters are free. I tried using self checkout last time with downloaded coupon, but unfortunately there were few ankle brackets with them and the staff asked me to go to them for things like that, end up paying the full amount for all I took.
This time I wanted to get some decking boards, which I think is impossible to self checkout.

    • I got one from WWS this morning. I think you need to go shopping in WWS to get this barcode.

  • +1

We bought that door lock too, it's excellent.

    • I wanted to buy one of these, the only problem is I have 3 locks on the front door. The security door, dead lock, door knob lock. So it kind of defeats the purpose when you have to unlock the other 2 with keys anyway. Ended up just using the garage door to enter and exit.

      • You must live in an area as good as mine lol

  • How to get original docket please. Its on a Woolworths receipt or Masters?

  • +1

Bleh, just spent $120 at Masters yesterday…

  • Does code apply to clearance items? I bought some outdoor furniture yesterday. Anyone know if I can claim the difference from masters?

    • Hi hello123, yes the 10% off also applies to clearance products. If you want to claim the difference make sure you have your original tax invoice and contact the store you made the purchase from who I am sure will help you out. They may require you to go in store and show them your voucher to get the refund.

      • Thanks! That's great!

Do I need to contact the store I made the purchase from or can I contact to any masters store nearby?

        • Any store will be fine, just make sure to have your original invoice

    • I believe it does work on specials/clearance products. I would guess less than 50% chance they would refund the difference.. this promo only started TODAY and is designed for people who find a voucher at the bottom of their Woolworths receipt.
If you find a genuine docket and go in store with yesterdays receipt, they might do something, but I would not expect them to be obligated to.

Have to decide if its worth the effort to go to Woolies, buy something, get a voucher (hopefully on first try), then go to Masters, discuss it and hope they decide to help you out.. especially if you are only talking about a few dollars.

EDIT: well OK, good news above :D

  • +21

Support Masters. Don't let Bunnings dominate the Australian hardware market.

    • +2

Agreed. I like going to Masters stores more than Bunnings. Nicer/brighter stores, more available staff when you need to talk to someone.
And the competition is good for consumers.

Just a shame they dont/cant carry brands like Ryobi power tools and Dulux paint/Cabbots stain etc.

      • +4

but Black & Decker / Ego / Kobalt / Hitachi etc are all very good brands too that Bunnings don't sell. Wattyl is also at Masters, and Bunnings staff members did mention that losing the right to sell Wattyl Solarguard was quite a big loss for turnover. I really do believe that Masters has a big potential to be turned around, just need the right management team to run it!!

        • +1

Totally agree.. bunnings has some good stuff and so do masters.. hope they can stay for the long haul.. massive opportunity to get a piece of the bunnings monopoly.

        • WW does seem to have a problem in that area, not just with Masters.

    • Thanks for the support CheapRichGuy

    • +1

Agree. I have been buying things from Bunnings for many years, and have often been frustrated at the lack of choice and quality (especially plumbing and outdoor lights). Masters has been a real saviour for me. I hope they'll stay….

    • Bit late for that…

  • I can't get it to work for some reason
    Trying to buy this: https://www.masters.com.au/product/101624461/klein-compact-r…

    • +1

I had the same problem with this item during the last 10% off it works in store if they scan it but didn't work online if added in my cart.

    • +1

Try calling the Masters call Centre on 1300 337 707 and they should be able to help you out

  • Didn't work on Dyson… I presume that is classed as an appliance…

    • Hi Homer, yes Dyson are classed as appliances. Don't forget we have free delivery of all appliances over $500 which will include a lot of the Dyson models.

  • I wanted to purchase a laundry tub/cabinet however code does not work??
    https://www.masters.com.au/product/900002380/maxi-laundry-ca…

    • Doesn't work for the product I'm after either. I think they just randomly classify anything they don't want to discount as an appliance.
      https://www.masters.com.au/product/101094376/easy-living-fro…

      • Unfortunately this would be classified as an appliance because it is in the appliances department

    • Try calling the Masters call Centre on 1300 337 707 and they should be able to help you out

  • Heads up for anyone hoping to use the barcode on their phone. None of the self serve registers are open at Northmead and the kid serving me said they would only accept the physical docket off the Woolworths receipt. Should've gone to Bunnings!

    • Yeh same! Don't understand why online you can use a code a thousand times but I store the staff don't let you use a digital copy of the barcode!

      • +1

I do agree, in the interest of being environmentally friendly, and given the codes can generally be used multiple times on the website, and even for those "print at home" vouchers, not everyone has a printer, it would be nice if digital copies were accepted.

Sometimes these 10% off promos are run store wide and printed copies are at the checkouts, and often the staff will ask if you have/want one. These supermarket docket promos are probably not pre-printed in store tho.
