      I had the same question. Also as it gets older, you can't replace the battery on the session, so battery life would, over time, decrease

      would not recommend it for a motorbike. I have a contour 2 and am looking for a replacement due to no external mic option. After about 40kmh all you get is wind noise and from what I have read the Session is not much better. Recommendation is to get one with an external mic option and have the mic sitting just inside your helmet, shielded from the wind. The tomtom looks like good value, but it's a fair step up in price from the session. Will have a look at a few reviews

        i had the same concerns about wind noise but i was more interested in the video. It's expensive to find the right cam for motorbiking without shelling out a fortune and this was a good compromise for me. If there's a way to disable the mic, i'll probably do just that. I hope this one comes with body straps or helmet attachments

          honestly it's not that much of a markup for a drift camera or similar. regardless, the above listed price for the session has expired already so I would recommend having a look for something with external mic. The video is pretty garbage when all you can hear is the wind howling instead of the engine and exhaust noise.

          There's definitely affordable action camera's out there. I posted a deal on a $73 SJ1000 1080p@30fps.
          It works very well mounted on a supersports motorcycle.

          Microphone picks up less road noise than the GoPro Hero4 session. It has a LCD back screen. Video is as sharp as the GoPro Hero4 Session, enough to read license plates.

          If you need something affordable with Wifi then I recommend searching YouTube reviews of the SJ4000 Wifi or the more expensive SJ5000.

I managed to get this one at the discounted price before it went back up so I'm not losing out by picking it up. the sj1000 does look like a good deal, but i wanted something at 60 fps with 1080p. I can live without the audio. There might be hacks on the gopro i can do to reduce the wind noise? Cheers

          Session doesn't have good colour accuracy and low light performance as the bigger go pro. You're sacrificing video quality for form factor. It isn't shit but not as good compared side by side with the silver 4.

          Not sure how good the silver 3 is but my guess is that it's slightly better. Check out some comparison vids on YouTube.

      Had the same issue. Did you just sign up for newsletter? Live chat told me it might take a while for the system to register the code. What worked for me is to use the code and checkout as guest.

      try in HELP menu in Firefox, find "troubshooting information", and press refresh button on the top right part of firefox windows just to clear cache etc. it wont delete any book marks.

    the hero4 session was priced at $208, then with delivery it was around $190, but if you chose click and collect then it would have been around $183.
    Unfortunately the price is now back to $298. When I login into my account i can still see that the order is pending …. if the order doesn't go through, what a waste of my time!

    I stupidly wasn't paying much attention (am at work) and paid the higher price.

    Online chat were good and cancelled the order. They confirmed that it was a pricing order, and that I had paid the 'correct price'. Less painful than I was expecting.
