Cheap BYO Post-Paid Mobile Plan $10/Month, 15c Txt, 1c Per Second

40

Fairly cheap deal as an alternative to prepaid and suited to low volume callers with BYO phone.

I just signed up for this, its similar to the Virgin Bean Counter deal and Woolworths cheap mobile deals.

It's not really a plan b/c you cancel at any time without penalty and it's great b/c you don't need to the annoying recharges when you run out of credit since its an account.

$10/month, 1 cent per second, 15 txt

(have to pay for voicemail retrieval of 1cent per second but free under the extra $5 my mates)

There no flagfall and if you want to pay an extra $5 a month you get free voicemail and free calls if you get another phone number under the account. I did not sign up this yet but I think it worth it if you need to add your family members.

      Ctrl-Alt-Down Arrow !

  • where's the actual website for this?

who is it with? link please

  • It's crazy john, but I could not actually find the link on their site (i got the ad from their catalogue), the dude in the shop reckons its on there somewhere. I asked them to email it to me but still have not received it yet.

  • Sorry, but 60ยข per minute is expensive (and this isn't a funny money "capped" plan).

    • Cool, do you have a similar deal with better rates? b/c i am trying to find deal with an account (not prepaid b/c can't be bothered recharging all the time) that i am not locked into and don't have to necessarily spend $30 every month as my usage is very up and down each month. (also this does not have flagfall or lock in so I can change to a better plan).

      • Have a look at PennyTel too www.pennytel.com

      • Right now I'm with Revolution Telecom (www.revtel.com.au) which I can whole-heartedly recommend, but I'm giving some serious thought to switching to the TPG PAYG plan (linked to by bryn, below). I think Optus' network is about on par with Vodafone's? At least, within 15km of the Melbourne CBD…

  • TPG's PAYG plan is better: http://www.tpg.com.au/mobile/plans.html

$1 per month, 9.9c/minute, 9.9c SMS, 50MB of data included.

    • Yeah that does look better, what about voicemail?

    • Indeed or Planet ISP ($0/month, 10c voicemail/unlimited time) as I mentioned here:
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/23424#comment-174444

    • Yep, that's a good one (excluding customer service).

      • I've had the best support from Planet ISP compared to any telco but experiences can/do vary with these things. Certainly better than the big, outsourced company support.

  • KISS MOBILE is BEST!
