This is the end of an era, ozbargainers should all raise their 17 LED torches in silence.

    • Seconded

    • +7

      Is that 1 x 17-LED torch or 17 x LED Torches?

      • +1

Or 17 OzBargainers with LED torches?

I only have a Cree Q5 thanks to ozbargain! I'm pretty sure more than 17 of us have purchased others ;)

    • +13

I am one with you in raising my Dick-powered torch.

      • +1

        Dick powered touch? oh…

You'd be surprised at the static electricity generated by friction…

    • Like a man with no heart, I just don't belong. I can't help it if your dick is gone.

And it's all I can do, just to carry on. I can't help it if your dick is gone.

  • +2

We may have reached the end of the loop.

2-pack AA is also 6.99 for those that only want two of them.

  • No stock

I've been buying Turnigy's anyway. Faring better than Chinese eneloops so far.

But this is likely a good price on the pro!

  • +4

Can get it for similar prices or lesser here as long as you order in larger quantities.

Also the icing on the cake is that it is made in Japan NOT china.

Been meaning to buy rechargables for ages.. and now I have. Whats the best Valued charger for these bad boys?

    • Whats the quality like? Not likely to be fakes or anything?

  • +1

Been waiting to buy some bulk-ish AA Eneloop Pros for a while but there's no stock around Brisbane so I decided to pay the extra for Delivery. Limited to five packs maximum and delivery is $9.95 so still works out relatively cheap at $16 per pack and without the hassle of having to collect. These usually sell for around the $22 mark elsewhere so $16 isn't too bad. My other Pros are Chinese made and I haven't had any dramas. They charge/drain the same as my XX Japanese originals.

    • +1

Just bought a 8 pack for 27. At garden city. Couldn't see the listing online though.

There were also a few non pro dual packs.

The pro 8 pack were Japan made Panasonic. The non pros dual packs were China made. There were also tropical 8 packs that were Japanese made and by Sanyo, but prices at 34.

    • For me it says delivery not available…

      • Ah yes, looks like the warehouse is now out of stock of the AA Pros too. Sorry Elmo.

  • Last memento of a store that appeared on ozbargain front page frequently (with deals like $10-$20 off $100 spent and anything you want excluded from the deal). I thank you dick smith for all the eneloops i have or at least most of them.

  • +4

Definitely don't do C&C with DSE. Or if you do, pay with PayPal.

  • Placed an order, hopefully it goes through…

I've used eneloops for more than a decade and while they are amongst the best when it comes to hybrid rechargeables they also come with a very considerable price premium.

I've tried many brands of hybrids with variable results, but the one's currently being offered at Aldi stores are outstanding value at $5.99 a set. They charge up on my la crosse smart charger to show a full charge of >2200ma, just the same as eneloops - at a fraction the price and available at your local town in Vic, Nsw & Qld if not elsewhere yet.

    • +1

Also add the ikea Nimh to the list they are good! I have been using them in my camera for a while now.

    • +1

      What about their retention?

  • any stores with C&C in VIC?

    • i had a look earlier and only Sunshine was showing up available for c&c around city to west/north Melb Metro…this was around 30 mins or more ago though.

    • Epping

  • is it safe to click n collect? what if they took the money and later say sold out?

    • +2

happened to me before, I paid by paypal, opened a dispute, paypal paid me back.

    • I would have though covered by credit card/paypal protection - but don't quote me on it. But I didn't find any stores near me with stock :(

  • Masters stock the Eneloop Rechargeable AA Batteries 4 Pack for $19.99, but they have a 10% price beat guarantee.
could probably get them for $12.59 for a 4 pack?
Plus cashrewards, 2% cashback, if you order them online first then get the cash back when you go to collect them?

    • +1

or 5% off using cashrewards wish gift card. i wonder if you can pay using wish gift card online and stack the 2% and 5%

  • It is amazing how the website still allow me to add 1 year extended warranty for just $19.90

Suggest you use some common sense in any purchases from liquidation sale, unless you wanna get #dickd

  • Tried to buy the normal and pro Eneloops. Both showing out of stock for NSW. Guess I'll have to wait for masters to do a deal or order from Amazon.

  • +1

I have some normal chocolate Eneloops already, which are great. Need some more rechargeable batteries for camera gear (flashes and battery grip), is it worth going for the "pro" versions? Do people find they last a good deal longer enough to warrant the extra price?

EDIT: looks like they are the same price in this deal, so pro version it is. Still curious what people think though, as they are usually more expensive.

  • +2

One minute products say In Stock, next minute Out of Stock. Then back In. Then Delivery available, then delivery Not available. What a freakin circus!! Such a large company, and they only manage to have 1 or 2 quantities of stock throughout the WHOLE of Australia!? Fair enough they are closing down, but its been like this for a long time now.

    Good riddance.

    • Then you do the hokey pokey…

  • I wouldn't buy online. go into store only to purchase.

  • +1

I'm in Japan at the moment…. Should I buy them here?

    • +1

      Ozbargain spirit is worldwide!

    • +2

What's the price of the Eneloop Pros there?

  • Wanted some pro AAs but sold out at 10 nearest Dicks. Dicks.

  • Crossover cables are out of stock at all of my stores :( I go through so many.

  • No stock in Vic.

  • There are no quick chargers left and no pros. Well done Ozbargain. Haven't been able to get onto a single one of these Eneloop deals.

  • +1

Purchased the Eneloop pros last time at this price from Dick Smith - thanks for reminding me I had them! haha

  • I just went in store at Pacific Fair, Gold Coast. There are tonnes. I bought an 8 pack AA pro and the combi 8 pack. Thanks OP!

  • BTW Plenty of other 20-30% off deals, such as cameras, cables, headphones etc etc at Pac Fair, GC.

  • Waiting on the family pack to go $25-30.

Can you guy the C and D casings separately?

    • I get them from daiso for 2.80 a packet of three or four. Sometimes if they add too much length I just rip the tops off.

  • Still don't understand why these are favoured over the Hobbyking Turnigy's when they are only about $1.20 to $2 per battery.. You don't have to buy many to cover the shipping and well and truly bring the average price down to well below the eneloops for batteries that seem to be just as good.

  • Scanned 2 pack normal AAA at George Street Sydney- $11.98. No thanks, do they price match online?

    • Does click and collect show no stock for your store? Dodgy as F

    • +2

Just left a store now. No they dont match their online store. Morons.

      • +2

They had plenty stock too. Mirrabooka, Perth, if anyone else wants to try..

  • So, what do people use cross-overs for these days, or is it just auto-switched by your devices anyway?

    • Direct connection between two computers

      • +2

Crossover cables haven't been necessary since, oh, 2000? Certainly not with modern GbE NICs. Still, they won't hurt either - especially when they're cheaper than the normal ones.

    • Should be auto-switched by anything within the last decade and a half.

  • GO INTO STORE's!!!

website was telling me none anywhere near me, just went into Liverpool store, and picked up the last Pro AA's and the 4xAA/4xAAA cheap pack.

  • +2

Got the last pack in Airport West, VIC.

It was an 8-pack of AA Eneloop Pros. They weren't marked as discounted, but scanned @ $28. They don't even have the 8-packs listed on their website.

    • Can confirm this. My local store had several 8 pack AA Pros left for $27.99 so I grabbed one. Yay!

  • Sold out in most stores around Melb CBD and 15Kms radius.

  • Pretty effing useless. No delivery and no stock. Just a clearout…

  • +1

So long and thanks for the eneloops

  • +1

For those willing to visit stores…

    http://tinypic.com/r/907zn7/9

The AA Eneloop Pro 8 pack is $28….Shows at full price @ the Shelves….but scans at $28.

A fair bit of stock at Dick Smith - Nunawading

  • I had the crossover cat6 15m in my hands, and the guy at Brighton said you can't use that to connect a modem to laptop. Get home, check, back to Brighton next week. Nothing like good advice.

    • Depending on modem, small chance he was right. Although I'm yet too one that did auto detect between patch and cross over cables.

  • I ordered C&C this afternoon and got a callback within 10mins stating they don't have it in stock and won't be getting it in. She said she will refund me straight away but I still don't have it

    • Dear god man! You like playing it risky dont you! :P

    • Did you pay via Paypal? I hope you do…

  • I got the last eneloop AA 4pack in Canberra Centre. Debating if I actually should go to other stores and pick up some more…

    • So much effort, so little bargain…

  • +2

    RIP eneloop deals.

  • Great price on the Pro AA's but unfortunately there's none left in my closest two stores. They have some AAA though so might grab a pack or two. Thanks OP.

  • Ugh, ordered some eneloop pros yesterday 30 minutes after deal started, was in stock everywhere nearby, come to pick it up this morning, they reserved the wrong batteries and are sold out, guess you get what you pay for sometimes

Now I gotta do the whole paypal resolution thing, I suppose at least I gain experience in refunds now.

  • +1

Mount Druitt has x3 Eneloop as pro 8pk left. I purchased x2 packs, $28 each. Not sure why I even bought it I have enough Eneloops from all the other deals. They didn't have any aaa pro packs.

  • I just got an 8 pack of Eneloop Pros for $27.99 - The standard Eneloops were marked at $55 (-30% = $38.50), so it was a no brainer. Just proves how they usually have higher prices so they can claim stuff like 50% off when they have a sale.

Without Dick Smith, we'll only see Eneloops on sale once a year - so grab what you can, while you can.

  • Tuggerah has a lot of stock of envelops. Could not find 4xPro but they have 8xPro and normal ones.

Price is not dicounted per label but scanned 8 Pro as ~28AUD

  • Looks like after chasing up my eneloops, not surprisingly they gave the same lame excuses it's out of stock. Luckily used the Paypal's pay after delivery.

  • Well…bought some through C&C but the paypal system was down…ended up paying by CC. Wish me luck!
