  • Add a few dollars to that price if you have to pay a credit card currency conversion fee which is most people. At the standard Visa 2.5% foreign transaction rate that's an extra $5.15 might as well be added.

      Or get a 28degrees card and never pay a surcharge again (+close to the spot rate on the currency conversion)

      • Problem is not every body can get a 28 degrees card, like people on unemployment benefits, and probably disability and under 18's can't get it. They have to reply on a Visa or Mastercard debit card which attracts a 2.5% foreign transaction fee.

          But everyone can get a citibank debit card

        • Edit: reply should be rely.

          @cwongtech:

          Only if you take out the Citibank Plus account with it. Otherwise according to the fee schedule on page 3 other accounts would attract a 2.5% foreign transaction fee on the Citibank Visa Debit/Citibank Debit card.

          Also you have to be over 18 years old to open a Citibank Plus account, so not every one can get it if they're not old enough.

          Any way for the rest of us who aren't fortunate enough to currently have a 28 degrees or Citibank debit card (with Citibank Plus account tied to it) it's a an extra 2.5% factored onto the total price for us.

  • If you use the Amazon currency converter to pay in AUD, it is $213.78 (delivered to Brisbane).

      Yep because as far as i know the Amazon currency converter factors in a currency conversion into the price which is at a rate way worse than the banks own rate which is pretty much a ripoff. Select to pay in $USD and let the bank do the currency conversion for you instead + the usual 2.5% foreign transaction fee.

      If you use the Amazon currency converter or not you're still going to be hit up with the 2.5% foreign transaction fee so you might as well pay the banks own currency conversion rate which is always going to be better than Amazons currency conversion rate.

    Finally, DDR4 pricing is where it should be.
