    These powerbanks from Xiaomi are fantastic!

    My only gripe is the way they rate their powerbanks.

    This is '10,000mah @ 3.6v'.

    Which actually translates to only 7,200mah when charging your phone @ 5v.

    I still love my '16,000', though!

      Everyone rates power banks at 3.6V

      the phone's battery capacity is also rated in 3.6V. So it converts back

      Every other powerbank rates it this exact same way. At least Xiaomi also give you the "real" capacity @5V as well, at least it does on my 16000 powerbank.

      I've only come across 1 type of 3.1amp battery pack there might be more. But most stock the older 2.1a variant

      We're not completely sure currently. Xiaomi have been very vague and haven't specified if it's 3A or not.

    Does this work with the Moto X Style? I've found the Moto X Style to be very picky with quick charging capabilities.

      The Moto X Style is a real hit and miss. I can't say for certain without it being tested, but it should work.

      I have the Aukey (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Aukey-Quick-Charge-2-0-15000m…) one and that quick charges (Turbo) my Moto X Style without any problem, so I assume Xiaomi could be the same.

    Damn, it's too difficult to keep up with Xiaomi's powerbank. Already have the:
    1) 2x 5000 mAh slim
    2) 10000 mAh
    3) 16000 mAh
    4) 20000 mAh

    This is so tempting with the QC2.0 capability.

    Ok this thing sounds like an amazing powerbank - but surely overpriced. Maybe we're spoilt by the other awesome but cheap xiaomi powerbanks. Has it just been released? Are sellers trying to skim a bit extra off while its new? What's it sell for in China?

      It's more expensive due to the Quick Charge capability. The other (cheaper) Xiaomi power banks don't have this feature which is very useful for those with Quick Chargeable phones.

      You are correct. Price is way too high because it is very new (and use Li-Po instead of cheaper and more common Li-Ion 18650 cell).

      Actual price direct from Xiaomi China is 149Yuan which translate to approx US$23

      149Yuan is the same price with their 20.000mAh Quick Charge (one way only) powerbank.

      Compare that price with other Xiaomi powerbank which released a while ago, which only carry about US$7.5 difference between Xiaomi RRP and reseller normal price.
      During reseller sale, this price difference can drop to be as low as US$3.5.

    I'd buy one of these if I didn't purchase 2x20000mah in the last Sale. And if I didn't get stuffed around on my delivery it took Geekbuying nearly 2 weeks to tell me tnt can't ship it so I have to wait another 15-30 days. Geekbuying shouldn't offer tnt shipping on items they already know will be knocked back. And for this price it should have quick charge 3.0.

      Previously TNT would accept power banks and only recently decided to stop shipping power banks. TNT will no longer appear for power banks that cannot be shipped by that method.

        Only one i've found is on fleabay @$83.57 which is way too expensive, it does have multiple outputs though, honestly taking the time to consider both this morning i'm pretty interested in the Xiaomi purely because of the size

          @Michael15286: That's what I've been seeing on reddit and Amazon. Some people reported that the Output needs to be ~19V and this power bank only goes up to 12V.

      QC3 will just revert back to QC2. There isn't really a speed boost with QC3 anyway.

      Manufacturers just need to match the input and output to the QC3 standard to be compatible.

        I'm not lying to whoever downvoted me. I have association with Tronsmart and that's one of the few brands certified to use QC3 ;)

        To elaborate further. Quick Charge 3.0 focuses on efficiency over speed.

        The new standard uses an algorithm called "Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage (INOV)" which lets the device continually request a power level from the charger, from 3.6V to 20V, in 200mV increments. Quick Charge 2.0 only offered four charging voltages, but 3.0 offers 82 different voltage "sizes" which Qualcomm says results in minimized losses, increased efficiency, and improved thermal performance".

          It could possibly be just my product itself/cable (tried 2 normal usb-c to usb-c and a micro-usb to usb-c adapter). Currently googling it out to see if there's an option in android to force it let it draw power.

          The manual isn't in English so I can't tell if there's an option to switch from charge to power. (I tried holding the button for a bit as well as just tapping it).

          It possibly only impacts the latest Nexus series.
