90% off Easter Confectionary and Merchandise @ Target (Nationwide)

530

So I was arguing with my dear wife the other day. And she has told me that I'm too bitter and twisted.

Time for a sweet deal it seems!!

Target Carlingford have a number of full off location displays left of Easter stock. And. It's being cleared at 90% Off.

Some serious deals for all those recovering or still active chocoholics. I think I'm going to start a 12 step CA programme myself.

Beanie eggs @50c
Star wars and frozen themed chocolate @45c

By giving people chocolate about 6 months+ past its best before date?

      • +3

Dont know why you're being negged.. most Easter chocolate expires in like June for some reason :( so would possibly be 10 months past best before.

        • +2

Yeah exactly, chocolate companies deliberately do that so you can't just stock up on cheap chocolate for next year.

        • @Captain Obvious: Do you think the dates are fake? Otherwise it would suggest that the quality of choco is lowered some how?

        • +1

          @GameChanger:
They produce a year in advance. I.e. Red tulip is already making next year's chocolate right now to keep up with the demand at Easter so the dates are probably accurate. Not to mention you know, consumer laws…

        • @djthornton: Oh yeah! Wonder how many bunnies they produce a year

        • @GameChanger: Quality of choco should be increased not lowered if it has short expiry cos less preservative???

        • @runamuck: Chemistry has never being one of my strengths runamuck! That would make sense though.

        • The Star Wars Easter "eggs" I bought in Target today are best before June 2017 (the 100g oval shaped with the picture of the Storm Trooper on).

  • +2

The 90% off Easter choc is also at Target in Perth city centre (Hay St/Murray St Mall) but there is limited stock left. About 30 of the Star wars 100g oval shaped eater choc, About 10-20 of the AFL/NRL big eggs, lots of the Easter craft kits and a few other chocs with only one or two left of.
