if your looking for Velocity points, this is a better deal….only $150 annual fee. Still only 0.5 earn on visa. http://www.nab.com.au/personal/banking/credit-cards/nab-velo…

  • With 60000 Qantas points you should be able to get to the corner shop and back.

The trick is to combine 4 or 5 sign up bonuses together with a spouse and get about half million points.

All i'm getting at is that Qantas points are like the old greek Drachma. The numbers are big but useless. They don't even cover the taxes. By the time you want to book something they have moved the goalposts 10 times and the cost even more points.

  • Tossing up between this and Velocity Rewards card for 60k points and only $150 annual fee.

Velocity is a better deal. Get your Qantas from another card. By the end of tonight I will have found every credit card sign up bonus there is. Does anyone want me to do a megapost? I can share my sign up strategy.

      • I think these deals have been posted before. But keep us informed whether you get all of them approved. I'm keen to see how you go.

And yes Velocity is a better deal if you end up converting the points to Krisflyer.

      • Sure I would be interested in learning your strategy :) I currently have an Amex and this Velocity card after seeing all the other rewards cards being nerfed is alittle disheartening however.

      • Yes please share. Would like to understand how other people do it too!

      • All ears mate

      • Yes please! I would love to know!

      • please do, I'm interested in this as well. In hindsight, I got an Amex Essentials which doesn't have any annual fee but it didn't have any points and the earning rate is lower as well, oh well, I was a noob to this back then.

      • Yes please!

      • Yep!

      • Or just go to finder.com.au and narrow down your search to rewards credit cards.

    • Nice one.

Update the main link OP? Seeing as this is better.

Probably a good idea to credit tuvz too ;)
